The Waco Tours river cruise was fantastic. Our captain Jacob and Bobby first mate did a fabulous job at keeping us entertained while cruising down the Brazos. We had fun! Our driver, Cowboy Dave, and guide Alyssa were a delight. Had ice cream, they provided cold beverages which we needed as it was hot. The van AC had a hard time keeping up with the heat. Saw the sights (and seriously, not a lot to see in Waco), heard the history (floods! Tornadoes!) and saw the Fixer Upper homes. All in all, a good day. Highly recommend. Guys. Listen. Today we hit Waco, TX. Honestly, I was fully expecting it to be a podunk town with nothing to offer besides Magnolia. We decided to make the most of our time and go on a tour of Waco, to skip the hottest part of the day. This tour absolutely blew us OUT OF THE WATER. Waco Tours had not only the personality but the knowledge of past and current Waco. With small tidbits that made the 3 hour tour seem like nothing. We had amazing tour guides, Lucas and Jacob. Funny, personable and totally down to earth. We also got he pleasure of meeting and hanging out with one of the owners, David Ridley, who you may recognize as "The Most Eligible Bachelor of Waco, TX." He has the most watched episode of Fixer Upper to date and guys, he's the real deal. Sweet, genuine and a real stand up man. All in all, 10 out of 10 for this experience with #wacotours. I really wasn't sure what to expect with this tour, but just about everything in Waco is closed on Sundays so we weren't sure what else to do. I was blown away! So much fun and we saw so many beautiful areas and learned many facts we would never have found on our own. Kendall and Cowboy Dave were amazing tour guides and I would say this tour and Magnolia Table were the best parts of our visit to Waco. Before booking I asked a couple questions and one of the owners promptly reached out which was impressive customer service. The only part I thought was a bit awkward was the prayer at the beginning of the tour, but where we live that just isn't done, so I'm sure most people don't think twice about it. read more

We were in town Mother's Day weekend to visit Magnolia Market, but I wanted to explore more than just GainesWorld. I booked this tour a month ahead through their website--easy process and they sent reminders via email with tips, meeting place, and arrival time. Our tour guides--Ben and Christina, were both wonderful. They were funny and very knowledgeable about Waco history. We got a good dose of Fixer Upper info, but the tour went much deeper than that--they pointed out facts about Baylor, local parks, shops, restaurants, historical events. All without it seeming too canned or rote. We stopped in Cameron Park at Lovers Leap, Common Grounds Coffeeshop, and Harps. The tour was a perfect blend of driving and stopping. This was probably one of the best city tours I've ever been on, and we've done them in many large towns--the bonus here being it was a smaller group (6 of us) and we could all hear the details, which were given by residents of Waco who clearly love their town and their job! One FABULOUS experience - a "must do" while in Waco! After having breakfast at Magnolia Table, we stumbled across this tour while walking to our car in the parking lot. We immediately decided to jump aboard and check out Waco from the people who know it best - those that live/work there! Heather and David were literally FANTASTIC! As a faith based company (which is very important to us) they started out our journey with a prayer - how refreshing is that???!!! We got to cruise through Waco, old and new in a beautiful brand new Mercedes van, we were offered ice cold waters as well as a locally baked, amazing chocolate chip cookie! We got to see all the highlights of Waco, including the Silos, Bakery, several Fixer Uppers, Harp Designs, the original home of the Dr. Pepper and MUCH more! David and Heather were not only personable, but informative. We have visited Magnolia Farms several times in the past and honestly thought we had a pretty good knowledge of the Waco area, until..... we took this tour! It was WELL worth the time and money and is extremely reasonably priced. We absolutely LOVED it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Waco area! read more

Waco Tours is so much fun! They greet so warmly and enthusiastically from the outset. The tour guides like learning a bit about their customers so they can add in some touches. While the tour was the first Waco city tour and was founded by Fixed Upper customers, it is not centered on the TV series. The tour gives you a good, basic history of Waco, gives a rundown of Baylor, and drives around Cameron Park. The guides are very entertaining and upbeat. The tour does a stop for I e cream or coffee- customer Choice- a water/Dr. Pepper stop at a scenic point in Cameron Park and a quick shopping trip at Harp Design. You do drive by Fixer Upper homes as well as the little shop on Bosque. Overall, the tour gave a good overview of Waco which left me wanting to come back to see and experience more of the city. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves on the tour! Our guides were very knowledgable about all things Waco. Their were several picture opportunities and our guide insisted on taking the pictures with her phone, and then sent them out to everyone at the end of the tour! This tour was awesome! We took this outing primarily to see some of the homes from the Fixer Upper show, but were pleasantly surprised to see and learn much more about Waco. The fabulous guides, Lexy and Cowboy Dave, were so fun and highlighted wonderful sites of Waco's history and present. It was very inspiring - from their pre-hurricane status to their current economic rise (including but not limited to the Magnolia business). Amongst many Waco gem areas, we saw Baylor University, Lovers' Leap, the original Magnolia market, Clint Harp's Design Co., and we learned about a famous Wacoan Pearl Harbor hero (I won't give it away). I highly recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your Waco visit so you will be able to make a list of go-to places along with the fabulous Magnolia Silos Market. My favorite part of the tour was learning about the outreach efforts to the needy going on throughout Waco. The tour company is co-owned by "The Most Eligible Bachelor in Waco" who sold us our tickets. His testimony is told on the tour and is powerful. On a positive note, this is one of the most friendly tour staffs I've ever encountered. They have great values and are true kind-hearted group of people. But the reality of it is it's Waco, Texas and $300 for a family of four is insane!!! They're riding the Fixer Upper wave like everything else in that town and you need to understand everything is overpriced. I've travelled the world several times over and this is more expensive than taking a tour of the Grand Canal on a gondola in Venice. Waco is a great scene nowadays, but they've become pretty full of themselves. You'll experience the same thing at Jimmy Dons and Harp Design... just a bunch of overpriced items that you can get anywhere else. They're not priced for the hard-working family, just for the family that is willing to pay extra for the "Fixer Upper" experience. I felt sick the rest of the day knowing I spent that kind of money on a tour I could have watched on TV. read more

What can I say about this tour? My wife and I were in Waco for the weekend and signed up for the tour while waiting for a table at Magnolia Table restaurant. It was a great tour. Our tour guides Ben and Chantal were awesome. So much great history about Waco and they kept us interested. Not to mention how much they made us laugh. We got to see a great deal of Waco, had some great complimentary Arnold Palmers and some great ice cream while on the tour. I never knew how huge Cameron park was. You get to see quite a few of the Fixer Upper houses too. VERY COOL! One of the owners, David Ridley, who had his house " fixed up" by the Gaines duo was on hand to greet us. Got approached by these guys after leaving the silos at magnolia market. I recognized the owner from an episode of Fixxer Upper. He was very nice and talked us into a tour. Wasn't sure at first then he offered us a discount so I figured why not. I am sure glad I did. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and had no problem answering any questions. It was also a very interactive tour which included a few stops and ice cream along the way. Tour many of the neighborhoods in Waco. Also pointed out several houses that were on the Fixxer upper show. Any fan of that show should definitely take this tour. read more
