For in window sill, cake behind the couch that wasn't vacuumed up.

Check the hours of everything before booking! We stayed at Camp Fimfo in early August -- one of the hottest times of the year -- and the water park was closed during the week. School isn't even in session yet, so we were shocked it wasn't open for campers. With no lifeguard on duty, I don't understand why it couldn't be running. On top of that, the general store, Dive Bar, Squirrelly's Tavern, laser tag, jumping pillow, and gem mining were all closed during the week as well. The fishing pond was also unfishable for little kids due to moss-covered banks. For the price you pay here, these amenities should be available. As far as cleanliness of the cabin the following items were found upon arrival: Hair tie Q tip Dr Pepper bottle Plastic fork in window sill Toys under stairs Grape in the sink The Battery remotes didn't work, multiple mattress protector ripped, and No sponge to clean dishes. Dishes must be cleaned before checking out.

    Flooded site, sprinkler

Update: The pool is apparently heated to 80 degrees- that is still fairly cold so we couldn't tell. The workers were talking about the broken pool bar water heater which is why that is closed. After I wrote the first review, our RV site was completely flooded because of a the sprinkler system and a badly placed sprinkler head. Unbelievable FIMFO! Site 632 has a sprinkler head literally next to the picnic table and in the middle of the site where people set up their camp. Sprinklers went on and we literally had to stand on the sprinkler head and call the emergency line to get them turned off. Our site is a mud pit now. Again- we feel stuck. They have offered us a new site, but any RV'er knows how long it takes to break down camp, repack everything, re-hitch to move a few spots away only to have to repeat it all again. Emma in management a gave us a credit for one night for our site being flooded. We opted to stick it out in the current site but had to spend $$ on tarps and a new outdoor rug to cover the mud. Sigh. I still haven't received a reply from Emma as to whether we can use the credit at the other FIMFO location- we are pretty done with the Waco spot.

Fun water park and craft activities.

What a fabulous family fun place to go enjoy in Waco, Tx. Actually you don't even need family. Just be adventurous and young at heart. There is so much to enjoy while relaxing. We stayed in our RV and took grandkids. They had a ball. So many fun kids activities. They have a cute little restaurant with good food and a darling general store. The only overpriced thing is bagged ice!!! They have everything you need to play tennis, pickleball, putt putt, woofle ball, soccer. Take your own pool towels. They have cabanas to rent which are great for shade but a little high dollar. I had a few issues with some cleanliness but when I voiced my thoughts they got right on it. Super fun craft activities for kids. Emily and Abigail awesome in that area. Aliyah was our bright sunshine gal at the pool. If you live close to Waco it is a super economical awesome vacay place because no flight costs! We went Monday through Friday and it was so quiet and nice.

This place is FimTastic! Great amenities like the pool, water slides, volleyball courts, basketball, pickleball, etc. The cabin was pretty spacious and felt very modern. Called a few times to ask questions and the customer service was always spot-on. Definitely will be back.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Camp Fimfo in Waco. We booked a Mammoth Cabin near the pool, paying extra for the location, but the air conditioning did not work properly. The bedrooms never got below 75° with very little to no air movement, making it very difficult for our young children to sleep comfortably. We had the maintenance person come take a look and he was unable to make any difference, he basically just checked to see if the air filter was dirty. He agreed there was only very faint air movement coming out of the diffuser and it was not cold. He also told us a lot of the units around the Site were not working well and needed maintenance. Although I appreciated his honesty, the management of the property was much less genuine. It was a red flag when we initially got into the cabin and there was a sign saying the thermostat couldn't be set below 72 degrees without freezing out the unit and shutting it down altogether. This is basically an admission that the units don't work properly, in an transfer the blame to the guests if it wasn't cooling the cabin....not that it came close to 72 degrees anyway. When we complained, we were told that 75° is "acceptable" and that it was just our "preference" to want it cooler. At $350+ per night, I expect a cabin that can actually cool to a normal sleeping temperature. Because of this, we had to pack up all of our belongings and move to another cabin on the opposite side of the property, losing our entire first day of activities in the process. The replacement cabin wasn't ready and we were told to wait 15 minutes while it was cleaned -- though it clearly wasn't cleaned well to say the leastMy kids' socks were black within minutes of walking inside, the shower had mold and soap scum, and floors didn't appear to be mopped. To their credit, they did offer us a golf cart for the inconvenience of being so much further from the amenities, but the new cabin's AC was only slightly better. Ultimately, we had to abandon our cabin altogether and stay at a hotel nearby, costing us hundreds more on top of the $1,000+ we had already spent. When we spoke with management again the next morning, they we were told we would be refunded fo the first night since the whole ordeal cost us all our time that first day that should have been spent enjoying the amenities. At that time, the rest of the stay was "under review" by management and they would let us know the outcome as the manager wasn't authorized to offer any refund or compensation for more than that. Each day we had to track them down and ask for an update and each day it was still "under review". It was still left unresolved by the time we were heading back home while they assured us they would follow up until it was resolved. Conveniently, once we were back home and no longer able to ask them in person, the verdict was in that they were not going to refund anything, not even the first night the manager had already told us we would get originally. The whole process was very shady and disingenuous. Our kids did enjoy the activities for the most part, especially the splash pad/water slide area and the mini-golf. Overall, however, it was a big disappointment and unnecessarily stressful for our family. We went to Fimfo based on so many great recommendations for the location in the Hill Country. In speaking to other guests while there, all shared the sentiment that the experience at the Waco site was FAR inferior and a big letdown after previously going to the Hill Country location. The only ones comfortable in their accommodation were staying in their RVs, which were far cooler than the cabins. Other issues included: * Multipleattractions not working and in need of maintenance. Most notable was the arcade which only had 3 or 4 working games with the rest out of order. * Random nails sticking out of the interior wood paneling inside the cabin. * Master bedroom curtain hung 3 feet above the floor, offering no privacy from the road no relief from the early morning daylight which made that room unable to be used for our toddler's pack and play or for naptime as it was way too bright for sleeping. * Bunk beds very unstable and unsafe. This was mentioned to one of the maintenance people and he just laughed uncomfortably....because he had to stand on the top bunk to access the inside AC unit and it was a wild ride. * Mold and grime in the bathroom, as well as curly hair stuck on the shower walls...we never used the shower... What was supposed to be a fun family trip turned into a frustrating, expensive disappointment. Between the lack of working air conditioning, poor cleanliness, safety concerns, and unhelpful management, I cannot recommend Camp Fimfo Waco. If you must Fimfo, try another location and hope it is better maintained and more customer friendly.

This place has gone down hill. I think the issue is there aren't enough employees plus the place needs a really good deep cleaning. The employees are so nice and polite and are doing the best they can. I paid for a cabana and it was absolutely filthy. We didn't even use it. We sat on the 2 lounge chairs in front of it and put our cooler on the ground. inside and outside of refrigerator was dirty, couch and tables had bird crap on them, someone's half empty drinks were on top of the fridge, there was trash on the ground by the couch and refrigerator. I looked at other cabanas to move to but a few had cleaning equipment inside of them, a few were just as filthy and the others were occupied by people who I suspect didn't pay for a cabana because there wasn't a sign with a name on it. The grandkids had fun but I won't waste my money on a cabana again.

This weekend we traveled to Waco and stayed here. I can say I wasn't disappointed. We stayed in the cabin that had 3 rooms which included 1 room with 2 bunk beds, 1 room with 1 bunk bed and 1 room with 1 full sized bed and 1 full bath and kitchen/living room. Where our cabin was located was right near the playground so when the kids were dying to go outside, we could watch from the patio. On the patio there was a picnic table and 2 lounge chairs. There was alot of mud on the patio when we got there and around. I am assuming Waco recently had rain. We went to the General Store and met John who was really helpful and answered my random questions about Waco and the Dr Pepper Museum. He also informed us that since we had a credit that we could use it in the General Store but not in the restaurant that was in the same building but on the other side. You would need to go to the General Store to also check out the golf clubs b/c you guessed it they had a putt putt course which the kids enjoyed even though there was kid drama. We attended the pancake bar for breakfast on our last day and it was great. It cost $4 and you got 3 pancakes and they had all the toppings on the bar for you. They have a bar that is also connected that we didn't go to due to all these kids in our part. I know me and my daughter will probably come back just us because they also have a pool that looked fun but sadly it was closed and it was November.

    Night time bliss in Aliner!

Oh my goodness! Great customer service. From check in with friendly Tracy to Dustin and John taking care of our lot, clearing limbs, cutting grass and making sure us ladies have a sweet 1st camp out experience. Then Dakota shows up, turning water on at source. We felt like VIP''s in our lil Aliner. Store is great, supplied well. Pool and activities fun and very busy for 4th of July. We are already looking forward to next trip!

We were told by I think she's the manager that we were safe while this eclipse was going on prior. Well What a coincidence they gave us until 11am on 4-6 to vacate the park. We had the "manager" watching us starting about 930 am. They already rented our spot out. The park is ok not exactly what they advertise to people. Just beware they aren't the people they advertise.

Please give this place a chance. It is new and they are working on it. Yes it has a long bumpy road…read morethe first time you go down it, but after that it doesn't seem so long. There is a private gate to get in. They text/email you with directions to get in and rules. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and drove to our spot and text them ASAP. There was some dried up dog poo around our site- they immediately came and cleaned it up immediately. It's been quiet and there has been no music after dark or dogs barking or anything to make us uncomfortable. They are very nice here. Bathrooms had to be portable and built off site and are here now. The lake is amazing and the marina is quiet. They even were willing to be flexible. We ended up having to leave earlier than we booked our site, and they compt'd us the nights we couldn't stay so we can come back anytime this year. Their rates are reasonable. All trailers we saw were in great condition and while there are several who appear to be long term there wasn't any trash or clutter. There are full hook up as well as electric only sites we could see. Our site was big enough to put out our rugs and eventually our chairs and grill. (Not in the picture cause it was windy last night). We liked it here. Very close to Waco and love the lake view. Easy access to the highway also. We love it here and will be back. Lovely evening watching the sun go down.
