Camp Fimfo Waco - Fun water park and craft activities.

I'm extremely disappointed with my experiences at this water park. I have now visited twice, and…read moreboth times the water park attractions were closed. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I specifically called ahead before each visit and was assured that the water park would be open regardless of the circumstances. Based on that information, I made the decision to go -- only to arrive and find the main attractions closed. Considering how expensive admission is, this is unacceptable. The water park is clearly the main reason people visit, and without it there is very little else to do. Paying such a high price for a park where the primary attractions are unavailable feels misleading and like a waste of time and money. If the water park cannot reliably stay open, visitors should be informed honestly before they arrive. Accurate information would allow families to make better decisions instead of spending money on an experience that does not match what was promised. After two disappointing visits, I would have a hard time recommending this park to anyone unless they improve their communication and ensure the water attractions are actually open when they say they are.

I lived at Pecan Ridge with my mom for a few months. I have good things to say and not so good…read morethings to say. However, I recommend you check these apartments out for yourself if you are considering living there. I like how big the complex is, there are so many buildings & units, there's 2 pools, and all throughout the complex it's surrounded by tons of trees. The interior of the apartments are nice (ours was) very spacious depending on how much furniture you have. Living there we didn't experience any big problems with bugs inside our home. We rarely needed anything repaired, but there were a few things in our restroom that could have been fixed or redone before we moved in. The complex is pretty quiet, unless you have loud neighbors (like we did.) The only awful thing is that our cars were being broken into, and our belongings were thrown all over and stolen.

It's 2023 and you'd look at the reviews and think ,"oh well it was years ago that someone got…read morekilled here or had their car broken into" or "only one apartment probably has mold/water issues" You would probably even go so far as to walk the property and them tell you "this is how quiet it is" and everything would seem nice and safe and well taken care of. But that's not the case and your apartment won't look half as good as the model that they show u. They show you the one that never had drywall needing to be replaced, has new cabinets and doesn't have paint spots everywhere from where they dripped while painting. Peoples cars were broken into, they sent messages around the holidays for "holiday safety" because they know peoples cars were getting broken into, sketchy people who don't live there would be driving around at night looking at the cars, in the lease you sign something saying that you agree they can tow ur car if there's a broken window that's not fixed right away. Imagine having your car broken into and then it gets towed because someone broke into your window My apartment you can tell had water damage and they just added drywall and painted over it, but there's still bumps and clumps under the paint, the walls look nasty and the laundry "room" smelled like mold. Not only that but the water pipes break all the time and need repairing so at least twice a month u have no water. No head up so u get ready to take a shower in the morning and there's no water, or u get home and there's no water. When the water turns back on it doesn't come out clean even after days sometimes. People leave trash everywhere, I would walk past 20 cigarette butts on the way to my apartment. But everyone once in a while someone will come clean up. The neighbors are noisy noisy noisy, they got some weird techno music going on til the AM and they send messages out all the time to keep it down, yet the next day it still goes on. My favorite part is that it's not on the weekend and it's not just til 12am, it's til 4am when u have work the next day. My apartment looked like $900 apartment but it was $1150 and just went up closer to $1200 but not at all worth it. The sewer cap outside of my building was emptying out into the bushes in front of the building so there was just a big ol pile of doodoo for weeks that smelled horrible. When we moved in we were told that it was a quick "make ready" so there was things that were done have assed. The shower was scraped at the bottom and just when we move in they tell us it would be 48 hours that we can't be in the unit if we wanted it fixed. The carpet was lifting, had something under it and there was a bump in a spot, it was damaged and had paint or something already on it , but now they're trying to charge us for carpet cleaning. Chances are if you move here you won't want to stay long. They'll do anything they can to charge you for something. You can clean the entire apartment spotless. And they'll find something to charge you for.

The place was clean and just the right size for my wife and I. Being city folks you forget how dark it is out in the country at nights. It was nice. We signed up for these adventures to make the weekend even more fun: 1. Feed baby kangaroo(Bodhi). This was about a 30 minute session where we got to feed him a bottle and kibble. It really was an amazing experience. 2. Bucket of food and self guided feeding of animals. We walked the property and hid to feed so many animals. All of the animals were friendly toward people. They were all very good motivated. We encountered a giraffe, donkeys, zebras, horses, cows, pigs, dwarf steers, camels, emu, deer, buffalo and more. The animals were often trying to bully their way to the front of the line. The cow Oreo who has not skipped a meal was always front of the line. 3. Afternoon safari ride in ATV. This was a fun ride around the property. Did not see any new animals but had a great time. The cows out at pasture were thrilled to be fed. 4. Giraffe encounter and meal. This was a little expensive but I would spend it again. The giraffes were super friendly and personable. We wanted to take them home because they were so much fun. The guide, experience and never felt rushed made this worth it. Our guide was top notch. I think her name was Jackie but could be wrong.

Great visit and super friendly and knowledgeable staff, we will visit again in the futureread more
