This place is trash. Tried coming in a few weeks ago and they were closed having a full blown party/meeting during the COVID pandemic with over 5 employees laughing at us saying theyre closed. Then despite that, we tried calling today at 6:40 pm (and note that they dont close till 7) and the chick who answered was just like "Hi its Wabba Grill were closed" and we had responded with "dont you guys close till 7?" and she said "Yeah well we ran out of anything so were closed." Lol girl. Dont answer the damn phone then? My boyfriend and I are healthy and enjoy protein filled meals and we were planning on making this place our go to so you guys probably lost what could have been regular customers. I like waba for the amount they give in a plate. When I arrived, the cashier was very friendly and definitely wanted to make sure that I didn't want sauce on my plate (she triple-checked, I mean I would too since that's what they're known for... waba sauce). But personally for me, it's too salty so I prefer adding it on myself. The waba plate was filling and the meat were prepared well. The food tastes great but as a nutrition professional it worries me that the staff at this site are seemingly unaware of cross contamination. I am vegetarian (and stated as I ordered my food), and yet my tofu was grilled right next to a batch of raw chicken. I observed as your cashier served the bowls without washing her hands first. One of the cooks lady used the same utensil to flip the tofu, chicken, and steak on the grill. Then I saw another staff member using the same cutting board and same knife to cut the different foods. Before I left, I asked the cashier girl if they don't use separate utensils/boards, to separate the meats and she said "oh sorry we don't do that here." This is unacceptable. As a health conscious facility, using same utensils for different meats is not a safe or sanitary food practice. Please train your staff about cross contamination. God forbids if they cook a piece of chicken with utensils they used to cook fish, this can cause someone to have an allergic reaction (since fish is a common allergen). Please use separate cutting boards for different protein sources, and rinse grill when switching from cooking chicken to tofu. My tofu had pieces of meat and smelled like chicken. This happened today at around 7pm. Ps: this is not the first time I see your staff embracing bad kitchen practices. Food: was good I cant complain a healthier lunch choice which is always a good thing. Service: HORRIBLE. I walked in at about 2:40 Monday not 1 employee was in view then after about 2 minutes 3 employees came out from the back. I informed that ky order earlier was wrong. They informed me that with out a receipt nothing could be done. It wasnt after the 5th time of me asking what else can be done. That they asked oh my order name. Gave them name and they found the mistake. Fixed it as if it was an inconvenience. Then they informed me they couldn't reheat chicken. That is when I told them the mistake was them not me I wanted a new bowl since current bowl was cold. Honestly good food, but the management really needs to look at how to fix their horrible service. Saw this restaurant while driving around and decided to give it try. Upon entering the restaurant I immediately noticed the interior was very clean and spaciousness between tables. When we entered the building, only one other customer was sitting quietly in the Conner enjoying his meal. I was with my sister and we decided to try the chicken bowl. The employee at the register was pleasant but not friendly, only taking our order but not assisting with suggestions or recommendations since he knew this was our first time visiting here. There was a special where two bowls were offered at $10.98 (sign posted). I was surprised to discover that vegetables were not included (even though it was pictured with vegetables in the menu with no disclaimer) and if you wanted to add them it's a $2.00 upgrade. I declined but order two medium fountain drinks totaling $3.90. The order was prepared quickly and was served hot and steaming. The chicken bowl was tasty (good not great). My minor complaint: food was good rivaling Yoshinoya, giving larger portion, but considerable price hike ($4.99 vs $6.40) and did not include steamed vegetables. With that said, I felt satisfied enough with my meal for that night but do not think I would revisit unless I had no other option. read more

Seriously the worst service I've ever had. The second I walked into WaBa Grill yesterday it was a mess. The chairs were everywhere and there were piles of dirt and food all over the floor. Not to mention the horrible customer service and the attitude I got from every worker there. I got there an hour before closing and they didn't have any chicken and the only thing they had was beef. On top of that my veggies were cold. When I asked her if I can have cooked veggies she gave me attitude and made me new ones. The new ones where cold too! They locked the door before closing while I was still in there and gave me a hard time about leaving. Seriously the worst service I have EVER received. I just wanna say shout out to the staff of WaBa Grill tonight. Especially the young man behind the grill. It was about 8:30pm when my gf and I walked in and several people came in right behind us... Needless to say it got pretty busy. One of the staff members, a young man, was probably on his dinner break and hadn't began eating his food yet. Upon seeing the group of customers line up to order, he immediately stopped eating and rushed to help the young lady that was behind the counter. He prepared our food and ensured that we were all served before going back and continuing his break. I think this is especially admirable and impressive at the same time. I go to this location quite ofter being that its the only one around this area, but every time about 30 minutes before closing they run out of chicken and veggies, very convenient for the employees. I come here 1-2 times a week. This time I went was really bad compared to others. I asked the cashier if she can ask the cook to put on gloves as she is tapping her long finger nails on the inside of a bowl she is about to serve rice into, which after she's asked to put gloves she still continues to use the same bowl and serves rice into it. Then she proceeds to the meat section and sees me watching her so she laughs putting on 1 glove and makes a comment to the others as if I'm being unreasonable. It amazes me how great the service is when a business first opens. During my first visit, I received good service and the food was terrific. I got the Chicken Rice Bowl. If I had done the review back then, I would have given them at least 4 stars. The second visit - still great food, but the service was mediocre. I tried calling in my order, but no one ever answered. When I approached the register, I stood there for a good 3 minutes before anyone took my order and there were at least 3 people working. I got the Chicken bowl with veggies that time. The chicken was still amazing, but the veggies weren't tasty at all. During the third visit - which was last night - I waited behind a couple. When it was my turn, the guy who rang them up said he'd be with me in a minute. Since I'd been there for at least 5 minutes, I was ready to order, but I waited and didn't say anything. Then I noticed the cashier cough into his hand. I watched him, to see if he'd wash his hands, because it looked like he was about to prepare a meal. There was another employee there, but he didn't even acknowledge me. I may have been dressed in sweats, but damn - I'm not ugly. The same guy who coughed into his hand, then ran his hand over his face. BTW, he never put on gloves. When I saw him grab a bowl and open the rice cooker, that's when I bounced! How disgusting! Your a food business and you have employees who don't know how to handle food. Coughing into your hand, touching your face, then you're about to prep someone's food - all the while there are customers ready to order and at least 2 employees behind the counter. I've never worked in food service, but even I know you're supposed to wash your hands before handling food. Idk, this place customer service is up and down. Many times I came and their was no one in there and other times they were busy. Service there is some days quick and friendly other days long and rude. It's never consistent. I do want to say that their was a person working there who went above and beyond. I'm not sure her name (Jasmine) I believe not sure but she was awesome. She brought our food to us, if I needed something she was on it. She had went to the restroom so I asked one of the cooks behind the counter to grab something and they acted like they couldn't find it but after she got out of the bathroom she was right on it. They told me they ran out of beef, so I tried to make a substitution and the programmed employee couldn't comprehend. A robot that couldn't compute a simple request if it wasn't programmed to do so. She wanted to sell me a side, how hard is it to substitute an item??? We got our food and it tasted ok, the problem was the lack of organization. No soy sauce, no substitution, no beef.
