i put up with the price point for a while because this waba grill is closer than downey to me, but after a few times of finding hair in my food and this last experience there, i cannot anymore. this last time i came to order a chicken bowl with avocado. this always runs somewhere between 10-12 bucks and i figure, k, for this type of food i can expect that even if 2 dollars is kind of a lot for just half an avocado. but whatever, i can ignore it if i can get some quick food after buying some foils from sally and just quickly make my way home. sometime after i return home with the food i check it out and see that not only is the rice portion off, i notice that instead of giving me at least a scoop of chicken, it's looks like crumbs. chicken crumbs. it's chicken chopped so fine that it looks like dust. i wish i was kidding i made my way back to the store and explained the situation and asked the cashier to remake it. she tried to charge me for an extra scoop. maybe she was assuming i had eaten part of the bowl already (lol), but i just asked if she can remake it correctly. she agreed. i came home and it turns out she just threw in a few pieces that could be picked up in one or two forkfuls. so disappointing. from the looks of the reviews, training seems to be the biggest issue here. listen, we get it-- they don't pay you enough to "put up" with us customers. i don't come to waba grill expecting a 5 star restaurant but i do expect there to be a bar. the employees are consistent in one thing and that's disappointment. avoid. make your way up the street to golden bowl for better food. read more

This definitely makes me write a bad review of this specific Waba restaurant. I order two Waba Plates and in a matter of 3 min. The food was ready. I was surprise on their quick service. I asked Cinthia D. If that was my order and she confirm "Yes". I decided to get a side order and was told that it would take 10 min. I o.k. the waiting time and mean time I was waiting. A client showed up to pick up his order. Cinthia miss place the client receipt and was all over the place looking for the receipt that the client had order prior to my order. Cinthia asked for my receipt and she blamed me that I gotten someone else food. I was totally shock on the way she announced it in front of others. My first reaction response was " excuse me" she keep on insisting in a stubborn way. I brought up to her attention that she made the mistake on miss charging me and she called out that the two plates were mine. I even told her to check her cameras so she could see that she confirm that it was my food. She accuse me of being a liar and that I was taking someone else food. Totally feel that she humiliated me in front of others. I asked to speak to a manager and she announce it out load " You figure it your self" . This type of customer service really gets me thinking if this employee really want to do their job or not. I'm a big believer of threating people with respect and great customer service.
