Just a few blocks from the freeway and tucked into the coziest little courtyard. The entire vibe is upscale yet quaint, if that can even be a thing. I ended up eating at the cafe next door (which I'll gush about in another review). I was introduced to Jeanette the NP, who was also totally lovely. Together they made the entire experience feel comfortable and inclusive. I never felt rushed (despite it being a busy office) or out of place (especially since it was my first time). She is super skilled and I don't want to go to anyone else for anything aesthetic again! What also really stood out to me was the energy of the place. There's a steady flow of clients, but everything runs like a well oiled machine. I chatted with a few other patrons while we waited, and everyone was so friendly. It honestly felt like I had made new friends by the time I left. They run specials on their website, which is what brought in a couple of the clients I spoke with. Nina told me that she was not qualified to perform CO2 treatments, and she constantly asked for help throughout the procedure. I was not able to find any record from the California Board of Registered Nursing that she is licensed. Perhaps I am not looking in the right place, though. I would encourage other prospective customers to ask for documentation if there is any concern that unqualified individuals will be operating the CO2 laser equipment, as it could potentially be hazardous if not used properly. 2. At the time of this writing, SculptME's regular price for CO2 treatment is quite obviously $495, not $895. Both the price list at the counter and SculptME's own website (screenshotted here) advertise it for $495. There is literally nothing on the website listed for $895. It is unclear to me why the business owner would lie about this simple question of facts. 3. As I explained to the staff in person, I used my maiden name back when I was unmarried and I use my married name now that I am married. Zo attempted to portray this as something nefarious. It is not. Also, just for the record, it is illegal under the Unruh Act to discriminate on the basis of marital status.

She made me feel completely comfortable, and the procedure was surprisingly quick and painless! Dr. N is very good at neuromodulator injections, although it typically takes a few follow-up visits with her or one of her nurses to get my eyebrows corrected so they don't look unnatural. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the laser treatments. I have spent a significant amount of money on IPL, CoolPeel, and most recently BBL, and the results have been extremely disappointing. Other than temporary pinkness after treatment--which is an expected reaction--I have seen essentially no improvement in my age spots or broken capillaries. I was told BBL was the latest and greatest, and I actually waited for the practice to get the machine because I was hopeful this would finally produce better results. Somehow, the BBL was even more disappointing than the IPL and CoolPeel. After spending this much money on multiple treatments, I expected to see at least some visible improvement. Today I was scheduled for my third XERF treatment. (No one mentioned it would take more than one treatment to see any noticeable difference after a few weeks). Weeks ago, I was promised 30% off. However, the price has since been increased to the point that my treatment WITH the promised 30% discount would now cost more than I paid for either of my first two XERF treatments. I find that very disappointing. The final issue for me was being required to provide a copy of my driver's license, supposedly for insurance reasons. At my previous visit, I specifically discussed this and was told I could simply show my license. Now I'm being told I need to upload a copy. I have dealt with many medical practices over the years and have never been required to upload and allow a practice to retain a copy of my driver's license. Maybe I'm overly cautious, but with identity theft and data breaches being so common, I am not comfortable having yet another copy of a document containing my personal identifying information stored somewhere--particularly when I don't understand why simply verifying my identity by looking at my license is no longer sufficient. After being an ongoing patient here for several years and spending a considerable amount of money with this practice, I'm extremely disappointed that my experience has reached this point. Long-standing patients should feel valued, listened to, and treated with consistency--not faced with changing prices, disappointing results, and new requirements that contradict what they were previously told. This simply isn't how you treat patients who have continued to support your practice year after year, particularly in an area where there are so many other practices offering the same cosmetic services and competing for patients' business.

In a way, she was completely tone deaf. I was treated with anointment for extremely small patches of irregular skin cells, one on each cheek. Ten days later each entire cheek became completely inflamed, bright red, and extremely painful. I called the office, said I was very alarmed, and the dr. saw me a day later. Her very first comment to me was dismissive, literally saying "I have seen worse" and "most of my patients are happy with the results" this latter statement was very odd. I would have benefited from her instead saying "I understand why you are alarmed and I will work with you on a solution." I saw her 2 days later because my entire face became so swollen my eyes were swelling shut. Again, her immediate comment to me was "I have seen worse" followed by, "you have been in here a lot this week."
