To simply say that Kimberly Elaine does amazing hair, would not do her work justice. I was lucky enough to stumble upon her when she was still working in the city and was smart enough to follow her to the East Bay. In the time that we have been together, she has given me some of the most amazing color I have ever had. Being a guy and wanting a good haircut usually means you have to go to a big salon and spend a little extra money. I don't know about other guys but this has always made me a little weird. I always feel like the women in these big salons are looking at me weird or feel like I don't belong. I followed Lacie from Salon Amour, and am very happy I did. I really like Aveda products, but didn't mind trying items from their organic hair care line, they actually smell really good. I finally had Lacie dye my hair, I was always was very cheap and didn't want to spend the dough, but its well worth it- she does an amazing job. She knows what I like, and my style, even when I don't know what the heck that style is called. The salon is really cute, and homey, so its not loud and chaotic like bigger salons can be. Usually Lacie just puts on Pandora and I relax to the music while she works away, and more often than not, we're the only ones in the salon. I have a ridiculous amount of thick hair, and since Lacie has been cutting it, its way more manageable. I am still in awe however about how she is able to blow dry my hair that stick straight without her arms falling off. She really makes sure every last strands is straight, and it can take about 35 min to completely straighten it! I myself am super lazy and rarely ever blow dry my hair. I actually make sure I go out and do something after my haircuts, because it would be a shame to waste such a nice blow out staying in and watching GOT. read more

Darlene LaRosa is a fantastic and dedicated hair stylist! She has been doing my hair now for 3 years. She genuinely cares about the integrity of her clients hair. From what i have witnessed all of wants her clients always leave her chair completely satisfied. I personally can be extremely picky, but she always makes my hair look perfect. Her passion for her career is easily proven by her work. I don't know anyone else like her, who works as many as hours as she does, or as long to accommodate her clients schedules.
