COME HERE! GLAM PALACE SAVED ME! Rania was so kind to fit me in between her set appointments to fix a cut I got from a different salon. Not only did she fix the choppy, uneven front, but she also informed me the back was uneven and corrected it, as well. She was honest and informative about the possible limitations due to the other salon's uneven cut, but she did everything she could, and more! She tapered it beautifully, applied a nice smoothing serum and proceeded to style it for me, creating voluminous curls all around my head. I am stunned by the transformation she did in just a few minutes, as well as by all the info she shared about my hair texture, and coloring and treatment options for my damaged hair type. My daughter had a dry curly cut with Rania. She was so patient with us since my curly gal is only 5 and had a hard time with the shampoo bowl and getting her hair styled. The cut is beautiful! She literally revived my daughter's curls and gave me the low down on proper care and maintenance. We've kept up her beautiful locks and look forward to a trim in a couple months. I am so happy that I discovered this salon, it is so close to my house, but even if I didn't live so close, it would still be worth the drive. Initially, I went into the salon to ask for a special braid without an appointment, and Rania accommodated to my needs without hesitation. My hair had been mistreated from previous bleaching at a different salon, and Rania suggested special treatments, as well as frequent trims until we could baby my hair back to health, mission accomplished! I decided after a while of special treatments and trims to do something adventurous with my hair, and she was happy to follow my instructions and exceed them. I don't usually take the time to write a lot of reviews, however Rania is just absolutely amazing! So I had to write one for her. I came to her with long, wavy, dry hair and asked for a curly dry cut because I had never had one before and was in dire need of some curly hair care. Rania took the time to give me a full consultation beforehand, gave me a clarifying wash, and took things slow with my hair too, given we both knew it would get curlier when it dried, so it took some time to figure out how to cut it to the length I wanted which she didn't mind at all. She didn't rush and also told me everything she was doing, showed me what products to use, how to apply it to my hair, etc., so I was educated on hair care as well! She was kind, informative, and nonjudgmental about my initial state of hair or about the things I have been doing wrong to my hair. It was such a pleasant experience and the salon is in a nice location too! I came out with the perfect length I wanted, new products, and bouncy, healthy hair. When I first started going to Rania, I wanted my hair blonde, but my hair is jet black (the blackest hair color). I had an idea of what kind of blonde I wanted, but Rania gave me her honest opinion and suggestion (which I truly appreciated). It was a process getting my hair to the blonde that I wanted because Rania didn't want to go too extreme and wanted to take baby steps. I do not go to anyone other than Rania because I don't trust anyone else touching my hair. In the past, when I would go to a salon to get blonde highlights, my hair turned orange. That was actually one of the requirements I had, was for my hair not to look orange. Bring Asian with coarse, thick hair and throwing in having jet black hair, it could be very challenging to get the blonde that fits my complexion. Honestly THE best hair stylist experience I've ever had. As someone with thick, wavy/curly hair, I struggled for years with finding stylists that don't make me feel like I'm causing them more trouble than needed. I never found one, until I found Rania. Rania is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. It was so easy to talk to her and tell her what I wanted. In general, she's just a great person to chat with! Not only is she incredibly talented at what she does -- she took care of me and made me look AND feel beautiful. She definitely didn't make me feel like my hair was a nuisance to deal with. Instead, she saw the beauty in my hair and enhanced it. Throughout our entire appointment, she took the extra time and effort to connect with me. She even helped me figure out a proper hair care routine! I learned a lot about my hair and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Yes, it's more expensive than some other salons but it is absolutely worth every penny. By the end of the appointment, I couldn't help but tip her extremely well because I was that amazed by her.
