Unfortunately my son had a terrible experience with his walk-in haircut. The stylist was quick to get him seated then proceeded to buzz and chop off way too much hair. You can do walk in there is a comfortable waiting area and it is located in a street mall that will keep you busy. I I booked an appointment and was recommended Tera. Super efficient booking system with a human who smiles and does small talks - how reassuring! Tera looked after my girl so so well , advising her (and me) - this woman is a pro , the scissors literally dance within her hands. Gestures are precise and she adapted to Skylœr's hair type and fed it plenty of moisturizer, blow dry and all this for $25. I left a $10 tip because I recognize exceptional service. My dad usually doesn't spend much on haircuts, he usually goes to places where his cut is around $20, this business charges $30 so we kind of expected more. My son needed a haircut so I took him here. Never again will I take him here after the encounter with one of the workers. The lady who cut his hair smelt of cigarettes and was super unprofessional. Not only that but she was incredibly rude and impatient, she said it was my sons fault for not remembering the size of the clippers and that he shouldn't be so careless to forgot something like that at his age. Beyond disrespectful. The haircut only took 5 minutes and I could tell why. She went extremely fast which made his hair turn out terrible. He was upset, and so I was I. I phoned on Wednesday to see if I could make a 6pm appointment. The nice lady who answered the phone said they had one available for Thursday. I booked it. I was a bit apprehensive based on the mixed reviews I read online, but figured, what-the-heck...if it is bad, it will always grow back...LOL. I live very close, and it is super convenient. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment. The staff was super friendly and engaging. Within 1 minute, I was brought to the chair by Taty, my hair stylist. Taty asked me what I was looking for in the cut. I told her to just to shorten it, and clean it up. She started to work, and within 20-30 minutes, I had a fantastic hair cut. I got home, and my wife commented on how great my hair looked. She said my haircut was the best one I have had in years. My wife said it was so good, that I should quit going to my previous hair stylist of 20 years and go to All In The Cut from now on. Of course, the smart call is to agree with your wife. I don't know about the waxing... I get my hair done by Kim and haven't tried anyone else. Kim is great. She really knows a lot about how to shape hair to a person's face. I just moved back here from Oakland, where I have been getting my eyebrows done for the last year by the same person (Jenny at Lisa's - fabulous). I like them on the thicker side and told the guy who was doing it (yes, a guy) to only clean it up and not take anything off. He said that he likes thick eyebrows and I thought that I found someone good. Nope. He dripped wax in my eye and then took off half of my left eyebrow. When I asked him about it, he said he was trying to make it even with the other one - that one that is still the way it was and considerably thicker than the fucked up one. He also said that it will grow back in two weeks, don't worry. Really? I just paid you money so I could wait for two weeks for my eyebrow to grow back? Thanks. read more

I have been going to Kim to get my hair cut and colored for several years. She does a great job and is a very pleasant person. I also have noticed many folks going to Ray and it looks like he does a terrific job on everyone. Other than those two stylists, there appears to be quite a turnover in operators, so I could not rec anyone else. Stick with these two folks and you will be pleased with their work and prices! I grew up in Moraga and have come to All In The Cut for years now. Ray is my go to barber here but I've had a few others cut my hair. For a basic guys cut you are looking at $22 but I have never left this place with a bad cut. The bottom line is that if you need a solid, quick haircut this is the place to go! I wish i could give 0 star!!! Hair cut without Cutting(back and sides) --fine! Thats the way you do! Hair cut without washing--fine! I pay for it! But!!! The hair-wash chair almost break my neck! And let me tell you, don't scratch my head with your damn nail. I was driving by to get to TJ Maxx when I saw the open sign at All I'm the cut. There were no customers inside and the woman took me right away. Looking back, I wish I had just driven right past. I had a great experience. I had almost no wait and I called last minute for an appointment. I'm a really bad customer, I never really know what I want done to my hair and I'm bad at describing it. I had Tu and she did a great job, she asked me a series of specific questions and gave me her opinion as to what I should do. I liked that she was to-the-point and confident. She didn't ask me a bunch of dumb questions about my life, which I appreciated. She just focused on my hair and gave me a look I liked. She also blow-dried it for free. Keep in mind though: they charge for the haircut and then charge if you want layers. We walked in to get an eyebrow wax for my son (gotta take that unibrow!). I was told it would be a five minute wait. 45 minutes later they finally got around to him. Not impressed with the salon or the two men who were not busy but refused to do the waxing. We had to wait for the woman, who was busy with a highlight job. Kim and Sam are both great but DO NOT LET LEILA CUT YOUR HAIR. She cut mine a few months ago and she freaked out the entire time, saying she "wasn't sure" and how she should ask someone else to help her. The anxiety I caused me was unbelievable. If you don't trust yourself to cut my hair how am I supposed to trust you? Today, my boyfriend walked in and she was the only one available to cut his hair. I told him he should probably wait until someone else was available but he got his hair cut by her anyway. Sure enough, it was completely uneven and it looks horrible. I came to get my eyebrows waxed here because I decided to try out a new place that was closer to my house. STUPID IDEA. The guy who waxed me kept complaining about how dirty and messy the back waxing room was. If you find your work space gross, how about you clean it for your customers? Now on the wax. The man waxing told me that my naturally curved, thick eyebrows were a weird shape, which I must disagree with since he was the first one to that point out. He then took it upon himself to wax my eyebrows into the skinniest sad attempts of eyebrows I have ever seen. I looked like I drew them on myself with a damn pen. I started going here all the time with my neighbor from Walnut Creek. The stylists are brilliant and always give the best cut or color. I had problems with my previous stylists in Walnut Creek - they would mess up the color every so often but at All in the Cut they always get it right - even when I wanted to go from dark to light. My neighbor also loves the cuts - we started getting waxing done too and we love the private room they have. Makes you feel at ease and they don't try to rush you out or anything. read more

I wish I had heeded my reservations once I had read the other bad review. I took my 11 year old daughter to get her hair cut. She had waited to cut her waist-length hair so she could donate it to Locks of Love. We showed the hairdresser a photo of the style my daughter wanted from a hairstyle magazine; below the shoulders, a bit layered in front. She said no problem, or something like it. I measured several times at home prior to our trip. I showed the hairdresser exactly where to cut the pony tail. Three times I showed her. She cut it a little shorter, so ok. Mind you the hair was still a good two inches past her shoulders. After spraying the bottom half of her hair with a water bottle (yes, the BOTTOM HALF) she started cutting and she kept cutting.... and cutting....and cutting..... I kept saying my daughter wants it below her shoulders, you are going to short.... She did not listen. The end result? A semi-bowl cut, way above her shoulders, not layered at the front at all (however the right side was two inches longer than the left) I kept looking at my daughter's face and could see she was wondering what the heck was going on. I decided I had to have the argument. Why? The damage was already done. But I was not going away without them knowing I was unhappy. They kept arguing with me and saying that was where I said it was ok to cut. I have photos of where to cut (since it was a momentous day, with the Locks of Love and all). Finally I was going to pay and they said no, its ok. We left and went to another salon down the block to have her hair fixed. Thankfully, my daughter is ok with the cut, even though its not nearly what she wanted. She said to me, "it will grow back"! Bottom line, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON unless you want someone to do exactly the OPPOSITE of what you ask of them. Horrible, horrible place, not nice people, terrible customer service. Never again. By the way, they charge extra if you want to make an appointment. Go figure.... read more
