These folks just catered an event at our office and because it was a small morning "Meet and Greet" we didn't order a lot of food...but what we got was INCREDIBLE! They had these jalapeño and olive muffin-ish things that people actually fought over! Not fisticuffs, but slow-boiling stares from across the table that said "you got the last jalapeño and olive muffin-ish thing, and now I hate you!" Have these people cater your next event or go to an event that they're catering, and make sure they have jalapeño and olive muffin-ish things! read more

I was hosting an office meeting and not being from the area I was not sure which catering company to use, so happy I went with Millar. I used them for the lunches and a breakfast. They brought every thing I needed included matches! The food was delicious and everything was perfect and on time. read more

Off a recommendation we opted to try WM&CC & the experience was not a positive one. We hosted 65 people nationwide who were in town for one of our annual conferences. The breakfast catering arrived an hour late. The coffee was transported in plastic jugs, that we ended up having to serve out of due to the catering staff forgetting the coffee urns. One of the employees stated that we did not order the urns & was very quiet once the contract was submitted for review. It was then mentioned it was someone else's fault back at their office. Where's the accountability? More so, the utensils arrived dirty where one of our counterparts took dish detergent from our office downstairs to the communal function room in our building to wash the utensils on site. Giving three stars oppose to two due to the platters of fresh sandwiches, salad, fruit & desserts that received compliments & working with Jasmine, the Sales Manager over the last few weeks. Customer service, accountability & punctuality needs to be addressed, unfortunately, we will not use WM&CC again. read more

Can we vote for the owner of this catering company to be the president!!? The way he keeps his customers satisfied and happy, I can only imagine a world we would be in. I had to get a lot of food catered for a big event my job was sponsoring! This company was able to get all the food delivered in one peace. And I'm real grateful! Best experience and delicious food!! read more

W Millar & Co catered for a post-conference corporate drinks reception for 300+ people in June 23 and they were incredible! We ordered various reception party platters, hot & cold. The standard & portions of food was excellent value for money and our guests were more than satisfied! We even fed the bar staff with leftovers. We ordered for drop off delivery and the team even helped lay out the platters and set the tables up for us, so they really went above and beyond. They were attentive & highly responsive in the planning & run up to the event too. Huge thanks to Roxanne & the team for their service & for helping us deliver a fantastic corporate party. Would highly recommend for any event in DC & we will use again if planning events in the area again. read more

Catering a business event from afar is always tricky! When I connected with Jackson from Millar, he was extremely helpful and responsive. He made planning easy and gave great suggestions for breakfasts and lunches. He also coordinated the rentals for our venues and met us at the venue to set up. We ran into a snafu and Jackson contacted me immediately to discuss and resolve the issue. Great doing business with you, Millar Catering! read more

The ordering was unfriendly; the food was very small in portion for a 5 person serving with no whole portions: the American mixed grill had Asian noodles; the cookies, bars looked awful with a worn strawberry. the bread was frozen -and thawed. we had a VIP guest and made a terrible impression & had asked the sales mgr. to help with food allergies- we should have gone with another caterer. Since we were only 3 VIPs of our C Suite team it was clear we didn't count. read more

Tried their steak and cheese (which they make with sirloin!). It was made to order so it took a few minutes for it to be ready, but it was worth it. All the ingredients are great quality -- way better than what you'd expect for your average cheese steak, including and especially the roll. I admire the pivot they've made during the pandemic in offering food to-go. Will definitely stop by again. read more

I'm so excited that this dc local catering company has started bringing their food to the streets because it is unbelievably delicious. I've tried most of their hot subs, prepared meals, and pastries. Everything is so good. Personal favorites have to be the cheesesteak, Mexican lasagne, Korean bulgogi stir fry, and the blueberry cheesecake poptarts. I can't wait for Pizza Policy to officially open and bless us even more. Steak breakfast burritos read more

We used W. Millar on a recommendation. They were amazing. They offer more than the standard caterer. The prices seem to be in line with other caterers in the DC area. All of our attendees commented on the food options and I was happy with the ability to have gluten free, vegetarian, and other allergies all accommodated. Jackson was so easy to work with and he always responded in a timely manner. I have already shared their information with other planners in my office. read more

As I planned a meeting across the country, a colleague based in DC suggested W Millar & Co for breakfast and lunch. They were great to work with and the food was very tasty. Upon reaching out to them I was quickly sent an extensive menu (by the way, whoever wrote that is good with words - everything really sounds as good as it tastes). Once I narrowed things down, Roxanne helped me pin down an exact menu for the day - even suggesting in one case that I order less than I was considering. I really appreciated that honesty! She was friendly, helpful, and professional as I got the details ironed out with her. The day-of, the food arrived on time exactly as ordered and well-displayed - delivered by people who helped set things up nicely - and everyone in the group with their variety of tastes and dietary needs loved the food. Good food and trustworthy staff, what more could you want? read more

I used these guys all the time at my last job and they are great! Food is wonderful and fresh and the price is not really that much more than Corner Bakery or Cosi catering. They came out to our office and brought a whole spread for us to try and see if we like their food, very customer service oriented! read more

My company ordered from Millar last week for a meeting, and today for a bridal shower. There appears to be a great variety in food. Last week, my boss ordered sloppy joes, with pasta salad on the side. For some who initially made a face at sloppy joes, actually enjoyed the sandwiches. Today was fajitas. Delicious!!! And there's always leftovers for the rest of the week. Everything is set up as a buffet, so you get to pick what you want on your plate. Millar delivers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time, and sets up the food. They are prompt, curteous, and serve a delicious spread!! read more

I had a pick up order because work was having an event. I will say that it was a pleasure to interact with Erika (I believe). We shot emails back and forth and she was always extremely nice and helpful. I think after reading stale email voices all day, it was just extremely refreshing to read an email with a bubbly tone to it. Anyways, we ordered 25 cookie/dessert orders, with each order coming with 2 pieces. It did the job for a group of 30 and could definitely feed more. It also came with orchids and strawberries as decorations so it was nicely presented. Bonus: Upon pick up, the blond gal (I think it was Erika M), was quite cute. Yay, fifth star! read more

Our company has used several local caterers in the past, all with disappointing results. Enter W. Millar & Co. With one look at their menu I sensed this was the caterer we were looking for and boy was I ever right. The ordering couldn't have been easier and more professional. The food was moderately priced, fresh and absolutely delicious. Our staff would not stop raving over how good the food was...and the results at the end proved they weren't just saying that, there was barely enough left over for me to take home for dinner...lol OMG- their Sweet Tea and Fresh Squeezed Lemonade is to die for. I found a winning catering company. read more

So after using this caterer for years, it's come to this. I wanted to order food for two separate meetings occurring on the same day. Now, I know this was in the month of December which is when everyone and their mother have Christmas office parties but I expected better treatment. I called and explained what I wanted and the date that I was having the events. I told the sales manager that I wanted boxed lunches for the first meeting and hot lunch for the second meeting. She told me that because it was the holidays, they are not doing boxed lunches--fine. I decided to just order the hot lunch but when I told her what I wanted, she told me that it's a room temperature lunch--okay, fine [insert eye roll here]. Then, I asked if I could order a cake because we were celebrating a few December birthdays in the office. If I could order the cake, I would like red velvet and have happy birthday written on it (per the request of the office manager). She said they are only three choices--none of which is red velvet--fine. Can you put "happy birthday" on the cake? She said that she didn't know and that she'll call me back to let me know. I called around 10:00 a.m. and it was now after 3:00 p.m. and I didn't hear back. I called and spoke to Christine (I think) and explained the situation, she asked me the date of the delivery and when I told her, she said that they are book solid. Really?! So, is that why I didn't get a call back? It wasn't Christine's fault but I know that there was a time slot when I called in the morning (or else why go through my order if you weren't able to deliver?). I'm sure that she forgot about me and other people called in and took the time slot. I'm not buying the story of she didn't realize that they were booked up. The first thing the managers ask is what date do you need the delivery. When I told her the date, she would have seen it on her calendar and stop the conversation right there if there was no availability. Luckily, I was able to contact G Street for catering and every worked great! I also used Oliva's diner for the red velvet with happy birthday written on it (very yummy btw). I doubt I'll keep W Millar on my catering list. read more

I have to say that the customer service from W Millar & Co was beyond great! I was ordering from across the United States for an event to be held in DC and they helped my with every step and made it so east to do! A special thanks to Greta for being so kind and helpful. I ordered lunch from them - sandwiches, wraps, etc. and was a little disappointed in the amount of food that we received. There were just enough sandwiches, barely enough salad, and the dessert portions were meager. I doubt that we;ll be using them again. read more

W. Millar's food is wonderful, the selection was great, and all the guests at my company's event loved it. However, helping to set up for the event was kind of a nightmare. We were told to give them at 30 minute window for delivery - which we did -- a window that ended 45 minutes before the event started. Their delivery person missed the window by 15 or 20 minutes and then forgot all the tableware. He said he'd run down to his truck to get them... but didn't come back for 20 minutes. Just as we were panicking that our guests would have no way to eat, and I was on my way out the door to search for a CVS for paper plates, he showed back up. The people we spoke to on the phone were very helpful and nice, but the delivery guy -- not so great. Overall, the food is excellent. But if you're having an event catered I'd suggest calling the morning ahead of time to make sure they have everything you've requested, and make sure your delivery window is well before your event starts. read more

Millar makes these awesome ham & cheese muffin/croissant creations that are seriously worth waking up for. I've attended two different conferences catered by W Millar & Co and the second one, I saw the ham & cheese doodads sitting out on the breakfast spread and knew, no matter how dull the sessions, how redundant the strategic planning and how delightfully awkward the break-out sessions would get, that there would be good food waiting for us at every break! read more

I use lots of caterers for different needs, and to be fair WMillar is one of my favorite; however, lately they have been lacking in their quality. Not sure what's happening with them, my orders lately have been a disaster. They had a lobster roll for their sandwich of the month and I ordered service for 10 and selected 5 types of sandwiches. They only gave me 1 lobster roll sandwich. They are so petty when it comes to seafood, do not order anything with shrimp, you will barely get shrimp. I have events coming up in which I will need to depend on them as one of my top caterers. I have started looking into ordering with someone else. I do not feel as if I can trust them anymore. There has been multiple disasters and the last batch of cookies we ordered from them were very wet and falling apart. Almost as if they weren't really done. Too bad, they used to be an awesome caterer. I was do embarrassed by them this time. read more

I use them for my office doing events from 10-200 people. The food, prices and service are stellar every time. Hands down the best food I've had. I've worked with Sabrina on multiple office lunches and now working with her on an Event. I always ask for suggestions because she's the expert and without fail she's been right every time. People absolutely love it. The food is very well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sabrina is always professional, helpful and provides you with excellent service. Her and her staff are always on time. Never once have I had to worry about an order arriving late. She has responded to my 1001 (not really but multiple) emails and always willing to work with me to accommodate my event. If you're looking for great food and great service, try them. Customer service is vital to the success of any customer based company. It will make and break your business overnight. That being said, I ordered from W Millar for an 11:45 lunch. My delivery window noted on the invoice was slated for between 11 & 12. Knowing that 12:00 would be too late as we were on a tight schedule, I made it clear to the sales rep that 12:00 would be too late. I stressed that it had to be delivered by or before 11:30. She suggested that we keep the window. My lunch was delivered at 10:30. We were having all day meetings, so we barely had time to clear breakfast and here comes lunch. I did not order brunch. I later advised the rep via email of my disappointment of the delivery time. Rather than offering a simple apology or simply stating that we may have had a misunderstanding, she responded in a very curt manner. I absolutely do NOT believe the philosophy that "the customer is always right", but I do believe the way in which you respond to your customer plays a vital role in a company's continued success. So, farewell W Millar. Hello to any one of the other 100 or so caterers in the WDC area. read more

We used W Millar for a business meeting and had a great experience. We are not from DC and W Millar was recommended by a colleague that is based there. We hosted 2 days of meetings in one room with 10 people at Georgetown. We ordered both breakfast and lunch with them for 2 days. Our colleagues each day thanked us for providing great food every day. When you're working in small quarters for long hours, food is very important and our group was very happy. We ordered the European Breakfast for the first day and breakfast burritos the second. For the breakfast burritos we requested some with no cheese and those were clearly labeled. There was attention to detail and all orders were correct each day. For lunch we had the Greek Salad Build and the Asian Mixed Grill. In each instance, the delivery folks were prompt if not early each time and called when they arrived. In the ordering process online, Jackson was my contact and was extremely fast and patient and informative with all my questions both big and small. Thank you, W Millar. read more

I would highly recommend using W. Millar & Co! Cristina helped me put together a reception at a client's office for about 25 people. The pricing, food and service were great. VERY UNACCOMMODATING - tried to make a menu change 23.5 hours before their cutoff, which is 24 hours. They could not bring themselves to overlook the 30 minutes and we are a long standing customer. W. Millar did a fantastic job catering four public workshops we held in October 2009. They were great at accommodating for some last minute adjustments (within reason, of course) and the food was well received by both attendees and presenters. We ordered a mixture of the "Room Temperature" items, the "Hot Entrees", and the "Midday Break" items, all of which were fresh and delicious. In addition, the delivery was on time and the staff was very courteous during the setup. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for both professional and personal use. read more

Used them many times over the last 10 years. Their food is generally prepared well, though their protein portions tend to be very conservative, while they load you up with tons of the cheap carbs. They are much less accommodating than other business caterers when it comes to making any sort of variation or change on their menu items, minimum ordering requirements. Decent food (for business lunches), but not overly concerned with good solid customer service. read more
