At first I heard a scraping noise only when braking, but then it turned into a squealing AND scraping noise while braking, all the way into a squealing noise when driving in general plus the braking noises! Great service and always reasonable prices - I've been coming to WM for the past 8 years and always satisfied with the service.

This afternoon I walked up to my car after work and noticed that there was something hanging down under the front bumper. Whatever it was was pretty low to the ground and looked like it could fall off at any moment. I was on the other side of town, Studio City to be exact. Since I'm not very familiar with any auto repair shops on that side of town I decided to chance it and drive the 405 until I was closer to home. I had been to Walid Mezher's shop before and always found him to be good and honest. It was 4:20PM in the afternoon and I was still on the 405. I phoned him and asked if he could take a look at it and he said, "I close at five". I thought I could make it and said I would try. I ended up arriving there about 4:35PM and he immediately took a look at my problem and fixed it within 10 minutes. It's a temporary fix until I decide whether I want to put more money into this 21-year-old car or buy a new one. I drove away relieved. Walid saved my day! read more

Heard about this place by word of mouth, and couldn't be more grateful for Manny at WM Auto Service! My daughter's car recently broke down in a parking garage in Westwood and it needed to be towed. She decided to have the tow truck driver drop it off at this mechanic since it had been recommended to her. They were closed when we got there (as we thought they would be) but Manny was still there and nice enough let her car be towed into the lot and check the car in so it could have diagnostic tests run the next day. It's tough being in your early twenties on a budget and having car problems, so we were anxious about getting the call with the estimate. Next day rolls around and Manny called her after troubleshooting and gave her a very fair estimate. It's so hard finding an honest mechanic who doesn't take advantage of you. He was kind, courteous, gentlemanly and fair. I called on a Wednesday afternoon, inquiring about their availability and pricing for brakes on our Ford Edge. The price was reasonable, and they told me I could bring it in, the following morning. We arrived right at 8:00am this morning and I could see that they were already extremely busy. The owner asked if someone from his shop had told us to bring it in today. I think he was concerned about the number of vehicles he had to work on. When I told him yes, he said, "Well that settles it, we will do the work today. We won't ever go back on our word". That right there impressed me greatly. We received a call before noon, that our vehicle was ready for pickup. No attempt to upsell or offer unnecessary services. I tested the brakes on the way home. I needed a new distributor and they charged me for fixing every other part that you could imagine They were just not competent enough I guess. Not only that but I have another car where they stripped a couple nuts causing me a lot of aggravation. Watch out if Walid is trying to tell you your batteries dead though.
