I brought 4 knives in. One large chef's knife was not truly dull, but since I was bringing others I decided to have that one sharpened perfectly too. Kevin was friendly and gave same day service, as other reviewers say. Good customer experience. But the sharpening was not what I expected. The large chef's knife came back with a coarse, visibly ragged edge. Two of the knifes had a burr that could be felt. I have no idea what the sharpening process was, but it seems incomplete without a finer blade finish. I didn't expect to have to finish these myself! I was able to remove the burrs, and the knives are now "sharp," but with tiny serrations rather than a properly honed straight-edge blade. I don't expect such a ragged edge to stay sharp for long. read more

Kevin sharpened my kitchen knife excellently in about a 2 hour turn around, and very reasonably priced (I'm used to Ross cutlery in downtown charging per inch -even if your knife is the smallest fraction of an inch over a whole number AND taking 3 days) If you are in the area and need a knife sharpened, this is absolutely your place! I have put off having my knives serviced because other people charged me by the inch. My 10 knives were sharpened for an extremely reasonable price. There is same day service available, but I picked mine up the next day (I brought in 3 or 4 at a time). There is plenty of parking in the back and has excellent hours (9AM-5PM Mon-Sat).
