Been with them for 10 years. Let's just say I had to replace my own modem from Walmart because they wouldn't come out and still try and charge me for MY modem. They can reimburse me if they want it. Their service is always out even when sunny and 70 out. Now you disconnect my service while I was on vacation and want me to pay to have reconnected, nah no thanks. After 10 years I will save that $100 and open a new account with another provider. And only had Vyve to begin with because it that time it was all that was offered. Vyve Broadband is the one of the worst internet providers in my area. For years we used them because there weren't any other suitable options. There are outages multiple times a day, and even though they tried to make improvements to the infrastructure of their network, the outages continued. They do not give proper modem models to handle the speeds you are paying for and replace used or broken equipment with used or broken equipment. Don't think about a 3-day holiday weekend and using the service to relax and stream what you want. There WILL BE an outage. Never fails! Is there recompense for the denied service? NO. Your bill just goes up monthly. When I finally cancelled the service, to move to Kwikom, they tried everything to get me to stay, including offering me 2GB speeds for $20/month for a year. I cancled service and they did not prorate my last bill, which I didn't believe I owed, but charged me for a full month for a service, and equipment, that I didn't even use by that time. No pro-rating for partial month. Just paid my last payment because they sent me to collections for $89.99 that I didn't think I owed. Terribly run company with poor regards for it's customer base. Typical cable provider, kind of like an abuser. They only care about you when you leave them. If you live in the Ottawa, KS area, use Kwikom. Brand new fiber infrastructure and multiple GB speeds to choose from (1GB, 2 GB, and 5GB). The 1GB is $75/monthly flat fee. That's everything included. read more

Their service is subpar and frequently loses connectivity. Customer service is nonexistent.

Literally the worse internet provider ever. We can ONLY get Vyve where we live as the area is newer and we aren't wired in the area for anything else. We have no other choice. It's always down, always has outages. read more

Trash service. Trash company. Down 3-5 days every week. Total garbage. On hold with support for over an hour almost every time. Non-responsive company. Avoid them. Don't believe the speeds they sell you. Believe the reviews. They are a T-R-A-S-H company. read more

Service is terrible. Unstable internet and frequent outages. Given all of the terrible reviews and reports of outages, the City of Ottawa should investigate. This company charges for a service they do not provide. This reflects poorly on this company and on the community that knowingly allows them to operate. Vyve has tolerable speeds, not good, not great, but for the area...tolerable at about 120 if you pay the extra fee. They are about 5 years behind the curve on speeds. My reason for the one star is reliability. Outages are crazy. Everyday the internet "blinks" off for a few minutes several times. At least once a week, we'll lose service for up to 30 minutes. This makes working from home VERY difficult. Their equipment (modem) is absolute garbage. They must take the lowest bidder, because holding a wifi signal is impossible in my house. To top if off, if you call to talk to a customer service rep there is a $7.99 fee. Can you believe it? They charge to talk to a human. Unbelievable. The problem is that the only other game in this small town is AT&T with a whopping 18mB/s download speed that is really only good for checking email. I really wish we'd get a ValueNet, Cox, Spectrum....anything other than Vyve. Just terrible, but they know they have you trapped with zero competition. read more

Worst internet experience I've ever had. Constantly down, constant packet loss. Every time you call, they say nothing is wrong but then its randomly gets better. Don't even get me started with how bad the upload speed is. I cannot use 6MB of upload speed without a VPN. They 100% throttle the internet and when you're whole job revolves around the internet you are screwed. Don't get this service unless you want to just browse emails because you wont get the speed or even the customer service. It cost money to have a tech come out to fix their broken service. Makes a lot of sense. Literally anyone else in the neighborhood is better. On top of it all, my bill went up every month for two years and then when I said I need to downgrade the internet because of the cost, they said that it would cost more for less speeds read more

Without a doubt, no contest, this is the worst internet provider I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have no choice but to use them, they are the only provider that comes through my area with anything past 1.5mbps, otherwise I couldn't drop them faster. They are constantly down, outages are more frequent than it operating as intended, you would think they were satellite, being that a cloud or a stiff breeze sends them in to downtime for hours (Today being the 5th day this month, hour 2) but that would honestly be an insult to satellite. I work from home and require internet to make a living, it's unacceptable. Their customer service is a joke, giving the most vague answers, if they give answers at all. Generally, I'm either told that they don't know or it much be on my end. Not sure how it would be in my end when the entire town is out but okay. If you have any choice at all, NEVER go with Vyve. The most ignorant people in the state of Kansas work at this one location. How they got through any type of education at all without going brain dead baffles my mind. The service is the worst I've ever paid for, it eludes me how even in a monopoly such as the one they have in this town they could stay in business, and that's saying something. Every time I talk to any of them in person or otherwise, I end up with a migraine for a week. Somehow and this is the first time I would ever say this, talking to a machine is more productive then talking to someone in person. The service if you want to call it that is so compatibility inept I'm surprised I get anything done at all. I can only hope that they read this as Google will not allow me to post my thoughts and feelings in order to make them realize how truly terrible they really are. They are Crooks aspiring to rip off as many people as possible. A company comprised of mainly ignorant people I'm surprised they have any customers at all.
