Took her time, was very thorough, explained everything to me, and set up a plan with a follow up to go to next steps. She is compassionate and kind and has a great bedside manner. I was so excited to have finally found an OBGYN who specializes in the EXACT issue I have been suffering from for over two years... I waited over three months for this appointment. Two weeks before it came I received a phone call from a secretary stating that Dr. Vyas would no longer be available that week and my appointment would need to be pushed back. I had already requested the initial day off of work, but I was able to switch things around and I agreed. I drove two hours from another town to see Dr. Vyas and arrived to my appointment 15 minutes early per the practice's request. I waited THREE HOURS to be seen. I was irritated and tired, but I was desperate to find a solution to my recurrent medical issues. I asked the nurses twice if she had perhaps accidentally skipped me or forgotten I was in the room. The second time, the nurse defensively responded that "Dr. Vyas is triple booked today and she is a specialist. She takes her time with clients and she will do the same with you." Okay. Understandable. Good care would take time. Dr. Vyas finally came into my room and sped through questions, frequently responding with "ok and then?" "and then?" in a hurried and irritated tone. It was obvious to me that she was having a busy day and a seemingly bad day on top of it. She clearly knows a lot about medicine and gynecology, but every time I asked a question it felt like her responses were dismissive or she made me feel stupid. She did my pelvic exam in about 3 minutes, for a total face to face time of around 15 minutes. I had to ASK her to check multiple things that are very concerning to me. It seemed this would have been routine, ESPECIALLY AFTER I HAD WRITTEN THESE SYMPTOMS DOWN FOR HER. Dr. Vyas told me I would need an ultrasound as a standard procedure to check up on everything inside of me. However, her tech was out of the office so I have to come back another day or get an ultrasound elsewhere... (Again, I drove two hours for this appointment)... I noticed she didn't do a pap smear on me while she did the other swabs and asked if she was going to. She told me, "Well you'll be back in four weeks anyway. Nothing will change by then." I waited so long for this appointment, only to feel like yet ANOTHER doctor wasn't taking my symptoms seriously. I can't explain how frustrating it is to meet with a doctor who can't manage to be busy or have a bad day and still at least ACT concerned with the patient. I hopped back into my car just in time for the 5:00 traffic in downtown Houston for my two hour journey back home. I have to return in four to six weeks and let me tell you, I'm not looking forward to it. read more

I highly recommend Dr Vyas. I was sent to her as a 3rd opinion. She was able to formulate a treatment plan that helped regain my quality of life. She has excellent bedside manner and took time to listen to my symptoms without rushing through the appointment. Because she spends adequate time with each patient, her clinic typically runs behind but I don't mind....she is worth the wait. She takes her time with each patient which I appreciate. Best doctor ever!!! I had a miscarriage while under her care. She was very concerned about not only my physical well-being but my emotional state as well. She referred me to a therapist to talk to about it. She was so very kind and gentle when delivering the news of the impending miscarriage. Her kindness still brings me to tears. She also called me a few days after I was discharged from the hospital to check on me. I've never had a doctor call to check on me. Dr. Vyas is the best doctor I have ever known. I had the worst experience with this doctor! She does not take her time with the patients and always rushes out of the room! She doesn't like to be asked questions, she looks annoyed when you ask "too many questions"! She is the worst doctor I have allowed to care for me! I'm recommending others and my friends not to seek her for their care!!!!! I am very disappointed at the outcome of my care, when I told her how I felt she had nothing to say! She Just starred with a dumb blank stare and said she was sorry.. She has no sympathy for her patients, I think she's just trying to see a lot of patients to make money! This is the most competent GYN I have ever had. I don't know why someone was upset about her care back in 2014. But it is 2018. I dreaded finding a new GYN after I moved here from out of state. So I researched many doctors. Maybe her style might not suit everyone but she is absolutely caring, intelligent and competent. I have a complicated autoimmune problem that most docs don't treat, and she addressed it with far more skill than any other GYN I've gone to. If you are not being helped by your GYN, this would be the doctor for you to see. She can figure out what is happening and address the treatment options with you. What other doctors in another state never could cure, including the head of the medical school ob/gyn dept, she has improved over 90% for me in just a month. Yes, she is VERY busy, and she will zip through it with you, so be prepared. I've waited an hour to see her, then gotten through the actual visit in 10 minutes- but I don't go to her for anything other than the facts and the treatment. So her energetic style is fine by me. The first visit was much longer. She is kind and efficient. I think she is fantastic. read more

Very good in traditional, predictable settings- will explain everything behind her decisions and has great compassion. But she also has bad days and the patient will know when she is having a "bad" day. When things go awry with you so does she. It seems like she avoids or spends less time with you if you have a non-traditional pregnancy or condition that she isn't familiar with. She has never called me to check on my condition the day after (or any other day) an appointment, even an upsetting appointment. She is young and has much to learn. read more

I agree with the other review. Vyas is unprofessional and gets irritated if we ask her too many questions. She also keeps looking at her watch while you are visiting with her. She has no bedside manners and is very rough with her vaginal exams (one of her exams caused me to spot for a day which can be very scary during pregnancy). Another issue that really upset me was that she smirks at some of our questions. I am a health services researcher trained in clinical science. So my questions are more informed because I understand the field. I wonder how other patients are treated if she found my questions silly. She treats her patients with no dignity and it was a very bad experience being taken care of by her at the time when I needed most support from my physician. I really wish Texas Children's (the network which Baylor Clinic practices under) starts reviewing its physicians based on patient feedback. Women like Vyas need an intervention from their network in order to start acting professional. She's a shame on her profession. read more
