Great selection of dried vegetables, jerky, and plums, prunes, pickled mangoes, pickled and spiced prunes and olives and so much more! This is our go-to place for getting the dried, salty, spicy, pickled plums/prunes. My grandpa used to love eating these types of snacks and he passed it down to us! We buy a quarter to a third lb bag of some of their selections. I agree with other reviewers, they are expensive and overly-priced. Perhaps due to the fact that it's imported. The staff are not too friendly but if you catch them on a good day, they will lighten up They will also walk around and let you taste some and cut you samples of ones you want to try. I like their 3-flavored tea they serve at the door. I have yet to find a store like this in the bay area that serves a wide array of dried imported food and mostly plums.

I got my cousin to buy me some stuff from here and send it to me since I am in Florida. I am very disappointed! I found a cigarette butt in one of the bags of dried prunes. At first I didn't know what it was but I knew it definitely wasn't a dried prune so I pulled apart one of the ends and sure enough it was a cigarette butt. It makes me wonder what else is in here that is not supposed to be there. I spent about $300 at this store and now I am just going to throw everything in the trash.

They have a large selection of jerky and dried foods, however, I think it's kind of over-priced. I spent about $34 for just one pound of beef jerky. The taste is good though so I decided to take the plunge and buy it. They were pretty accurate in getting the amount I requested. The staff was helpful, although there was a bit of a language barrier. At check-out, the lady handed me a sample of their dietary green tea in a water bottle. I politely took it but threw it away when I left because I had no clue what was in it and the label was written in a different language. Overall, I came in a got what I was looking for without any complications; just wished the prices were a little cheaper.

*** Try EVERYTHING, but only buy what you like! *** ** Beware of the pushy sales people ** * Be firm with the amount that you want * I like their spicy beef jerky and yes I did get suckered in. I admit it.. The beef jerky costs $22 per lb. Yikes! I also got the dried squid which was also $22 per lb. The selection isn't so bad. They have other selection as well but I came there mainly for their beef jerky. What I DON'T like about the place is that the sales people are very pushy and they put more in the bag than you requested. The moment they feel that you're going to buy something, you'll have a bunch of sales people all over you...

Sold rotten ones in a bulk! Big mold on bottom left corner!

Definitely a lot to look and and the variety is top notch with lots that are difficult to find elsewhere if you're not specifically at a European market. While checking out, I was eyeballing some of the chocolates that they had at the counter and the gentleman working was super nice enough to give my boyfriend and I some samples. The shop isn't very big but feels super clean inside and it doesn't have a meat smell. There's two huge meat fridges showing you what they have, plus couple fridges and shelves filled with stuff that you might need to cook with your food like spices, aromatics, seasonings. The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

But there is one rare item I am addicted to, the fruiti-o mango nectar, which is tucked away at the corner of the refrigerated section in the store alongside a couple other unique flavors. The mango juice I was particularly looking for was well in stock when we stopped by this past Sunday. It is so yummy, and not too sweet. When we first arrived, the tantalizing aroma of fresh jalebi being fried outside the entrance caught my attention. I didn't even know what it was, but I saw the sign and watched the guy making it, and I wanted some. Like many markets they also cook a range of food here, though I didn't see it happening in the store so I'm not sure where. Unfortunately the scent of food can be smelt throughout the store while shopping, so it's like being in a restaurant where your clothes absorb the strong odors of ethnic dishes, and it will follow you home if you're in there too long... I think since the place was kinda crowded the weekend before xmas, it was a combination of the people and the food actually. But at least they had the juice we wanted, along with veggies we picked up as well. Service was sufficient, and we got outta there before it was too late.

I'll always support there being more Asian grocery stores in the West Side of the South Bay. H-Mart always had that spot for me, but now it's shared. Mega Mart's marketed as a more premium store, but it does its best when they're running sales. Price between the two are pretty neck and neck. You'll spend anywhere from $70-$200 per trip cuz the small things do add up. They used to have prepped food marked off anywhere from 30-70% off in the final and early hours of the day. Now, it's an inconsistent luck of the draw. However, I've never had an issue with food quality with anything I've purchased whether it be prepped food or raw ingredients. 4/5, solid store.
