Great BBH. The broth only comes non spicy and you add your own spice at the table. The broth has a very beefy, savory flavor with a hint of sweetness. The meat was the most tender I've ever had in any BBH and the cha lua and meatball were also very tender and flavorful. Pork blood was just like any other and I'm not a huge fan of pork hock so only tried a small piece. It didn't turn me into a fan. The chili sate sauce is good but I've had better. The one thing that really set them aside from others is that the server asked if we wanted the veggies raw or steamed. We got it steamed but I think I prefer it raw. Although steamed won't cool down your soup like the raw. read more

Best is always subjective, but I can tell you that this place makes a very solid Bun Bo Hue. The broth is very tasty, the noodles are cooked just right, and a sliced beef was not too tough. The side of vegetables that came with it which were pre-cooked enhance the overall dish.. I did not get the blood cake, everything else was really good. Service was excellent. Bun Bo Hue: 9/10 Service: 7/10 I really like the bun bo hue here. I believe the portions are good and you get to help your self to your own sauces to adjust to your liking more. They also let you substitute out different toppings (I don't like the bones so I OPT for tendon or pork blood) I usually really like the service but today was different. I regret going there. I should have gone to Quan Vy Đã. Their veggies are fresh and have more variety. Not only that, but look at this to go original Hue size large. It was $15.95 plus tax and you get only one meatball and pork blood. How much meat would you get if you ordered a small then? Half of that size and maybe 3 slices of beef? This is the worst I have seen based on portion. Maybe if you eat there then you get more, but this is ridiculous. I would not go there again. I should have known based on the reviews. read more

Got the "large" Bun Bo Hue. Didn't feel like there was much difference from the regular bowl besides the amount of broth. Not sure if it was because we were near the door or a combination of that and the bowls were metal but our food got cold really fast as opposed to the usual ceramic or plastic bowls. Flavor for me was 3.8/5. It was hard to spice it up even with their chili oil - which didn't have much kick. Maybe expectations are different in this economy in Little Saigon area but felt like we really didn't get any banana flower shavings like most places for BBH. The Cafe Sua Da tasted like it was just hazelnut creamer and no condensed milk was used. Would return for, but probably just get a regular sized bowl since there wasn't much difference. Hard to find BBH in Little Saigon since Cong Ly closed down. RIP. read more

A quaint shop that serves Bun Bo and different renditions of it as well. I usually get the Bun Bo ( The Meats). For me personally it is a big portion of noodles and meat, the soup itself is enjoyable but I personally like a deeper spice and lemongrass flavor. Nothing extra condiments like chili oil and fish sauce won't fix! It's a local joint and can satisfy a Bun Bo Hue craving. read more

Not good... my friend ordered me bun Bo hue via Uber Eats and my usual bun Bo hue places are not listed on Ubereats so he decided on this place. It was my first time trying and last. The broth was not good, meat was limited, there was still fur on the pork hock(gross). If they can't even clean the food properly idk what else is not clean. 4.5 stars, rounded to 5. I would definitely order again or go in person. Reminds me of a home cooked meal. Prices are inflated due to ordering takeout, and this is easily enough for 3-4 portions, even without the soup bone. Ordered: 1× Bun Bo Hue (The Original) $17.50 The soup is pretty mild compared to what it can be. Portion was pretty decent, with lots of veggies to put inside. There were onions and herbs, also a bag of shredded cabbage, banana blossom and more. They could have probably included more cured meats, but I was satisfied with the amount given overall. Edit: if you add the veggies shown in my pic into the soup, the flavors balance perfectly and is no longer too mild! 1× Banh Mi Bo Kho $17.50 - Vietnamese take on beef roast. 1× Extra Bread/ Banh Mi $3.00 What a treat! I really enjoyed how fatty and rich this was. Perfect on a cold day. The balance of tomato and warming spices was excellent. The beef and tendons lean a bit fattier than what I would prefer, but overall really nice to order. The flavor is so nice, especially on the second day. The extra bread is nice too, to make this 2 meals instead of one. 1× Bowl Xi Quach$10.00 - extra bone This beef bone was huge, most likely a soup bone from the pho. I ordered it mainly out of curiosity (what do you mean I can order an extra bone?) and was not let down. I used scissors to cut off some tendons to add to my soup, and plan to use the rest as the start to some incredible bone broth. There is also a little bit of marrow inside too. Service / Ambiance: Ordered via DoorDash delivery, so I did not have any experience with the team or restaurant. They have three different style Bun bo hue from the different regions of Vietnamese which I have never seen that in any Vietnamese restaurant. I went with the Bun Bo Hue and the beef bone. Unfortunately I was disappointed when it arrived. The broth was not spicy and it lacked a lot of ingredients that goes into the soup. The beef bone was full of fat and was not cooked long enough. I came here for breakfast. Loved the waiter that helped me. Super kind and friendly. In terms of the food, it was okay but not the best bun Bo hue in town. Would I come back here, probably not but it's not terribly bad. They gave decent amount of toppings and veggies to go with the soup. Loved that! Best place for bún bò Huế! The food here is really tasty and is the closest to the authentic Huế style. The broth is flavorful and isn't bland like most. They also provide you a plate of veggies that go with the dish. The restaurant is pretty standard to all the other ones. The decoration and vibe is kind of retro and urban with a lot of wood. The location is in a plaza so you should be able to find parking, but the restaurant itself is fairly small. Somehow, it still manages to hold a decent amount of tables. The only downside is that the price is quite high for such a small portion. I was definitely expecting a lot more that what I got. Also, my family noticed that they didn't give us any pork blood (huyết) at all. This is a very important ingredient for bún bò Huế. We're not sure what happened because they gave it to us the previous times we've been there. Overall, service could definitely be better but the food is good. read more

The good: Something I love about Vietnamese noodle soup dishes is the complexity of the flavors and their addition of fresh and raw herbs and vegetables. BBH definitely has the components. The broth was less spicy than normal BBH at other spots so my 2 year old daughter was able to eat it. You can amp up the heat with chili sauce they give you on the side. I liked the lemongrass flavor and how it came with plenty of vegetables (banana flower) and lime. The price was great (much cheaper than San Jose BBH). The bowl came with the blood patty and pig feet. The bad: The meat was a little tough. The interesting: They sell pho too. My Japanese nanny tried it as her first BBH and thought the broth was sour. read more

Had lunch here during the "storm" and the food really hit the spot! It's located in the same plaza as Seafood Cove 2 so the parking lot can get busy during lunch hours. Came on a Sunday around 1:00 PM and we waited around 10 minutes for a table. I forgot to take pictures before I mixed everything together, but I tried the following: The Original (Hue) 4.5/5 - would definitely come back for this. I don't get bun Bo hue often, but had to try it because everyone around us ordered it. This was $13.50 for the small bowl Bo Kho 4/5 - you can order this with bread, pho noodles, or egg noodles. $15 for a bowl. Good hearty meal. We ordered this with egg noodles and asked for bread on the side which was an additional $2. Customer service was also great! The person who took our order was nice and funny. The restaurant was also modern inside and clean. Definitely recommend giving this spot a try. read more

Their bun Bo hue is deliciously good. Very consistent every time I go. Their service is fast and friendly. I only wish they provide more vegetables but it is nice that their vegetables are already cleaned and prepared to be eaten. The atmosphere is small and feels crowded like their Bolsa location in California. They don't offer the short ribs like their Southern California location. For the price of $15, it was filling and satisfying. The pork shank was tender, but the pieces were very small. The rest of the protein was solid. This place absolutely hit the spot when we needed some piping hot savory soup to soothe the soul (and our immune systems). We got the house special bun bo hue which comes with a GIANT beef bone, we were flabbergasted at the size. The bun bo hue was flavorful and delicious and I will absolutely come back again for this. I also enjoyed my bun rieu and ecstatic we found this place. Portions of the soup as well as the veggies are great and prices were good. The place currently has 3.5 stars as of this review and it really is the sweet spot of mom and pop Asian establishments. The restaurant is located in a busy plaza in Bolsa, parking was ok, service was actually great and I loved every bit of our meal here. The best bun bo hue place is OC!! My parents drive here from LA just to eat here. The soup is so flavorful and the bowls are filled the brim with noodles and meat. I don't even eat the bun Bo hue in LA anymore because it can't compare. Parking here is horrendous, the plaza/parking is huge but there's also a supermarket so you're fighting for your spot every time. I always get the dac biet, has never done me wrong! read more

Alright bun bo spot to get the craving gone. I wouldn't say it's the best BBH I have ever gotten, I thought it was honestly a little bit too salty for my liking. But it is in the heart of little saigon, there's parking around the plaza and a prime spot for going around. They are super fast, restaurant is very clean and gives the vibe of a regular viet cafe (lots and lots of vinahouse). I also enjoy the variety of toppings on the BBH, really stacked bowl. Not that expensive either! Beats LA prices AND quality any day. read more
