I went there at 4:30 on a Friday. There were 4 of us and it was our first time there. The place was PACKED!!!!! definitely call ahead to get on their waitlist. They quoted a 20-30 minute wait for an inside table. We hung out in the bar while we waited. The server at the bar was clearly slammed and did not do much. When I asked what the happy hour specials were she replied with "what are you looking for". I was looking for a menu that shows the happy hour deals, but didn't exist. So I said a cocktail. She said they have a margarita on happy hour so I said yes. The margarita was ok. I noticed they do heavy pours on wine. Note to future self - get the wine. When we got the receipt we saw the margarita was $6 and the wine was $7. What a deal! After 40 minutes we got our inside table. Our server was nice and as attentive as he could be in light of how busy they were. I wish there were more vegan items on the menu than just 1 which is a stir fry that one person in the party got and it looked good. We also got a roasted butternut squash salad with no cheese, sweet potato fries, and a mushroom and arugula pizza with no cheese but they still put Parmesan cheese on it (boo). We showed up for a Saturday late lunch and was able to grab a small booth in the bar. The bartender was swamped, yet another employee was able to come take our drink orders. We order the Asian tacos & pretzel appetizers. The tacos were absolutely amazing; the only problem was the order only came with three street taco sized eats. We already decided we will go back and order each our own taco appetizer for a mean (but my husband said he'd order 2 for himself!) The pretzels and cheese were plentiful; soft & salty pretzels with warm fluffy (not watered down!!) cheese. We shared a turkey burger with Parm fries - all was very good. We will be back!! My husband ordered a specialty cocktail, Manhattan, and he did not like how it was made; if the cocktail was good, I would have rated this a 5. Checked in on Yelp prior to arrival -- so nice. Said 11-29 minutes. Showed up and told hostess (540pm in a Monday) we check in online. She said great it will be 45 minutes. Should have walked away the . We waited only about 30 min which was nice. Hostess was new and great, very informative while waiting. We sat outside (finally a nice night). Nice waterfall, breeze and 1/2 string lights that were working -- they should fix these as it does make a good outdoor vibe. Here is where it all went wrong -- we waiting 20+ min for our server -- He was overly rushed the whole night. But we will talk about the more. Finally got drinks...so parched. He said he was busy and we couldn't order appetizer with drinks -- weird right?? Ok, so we waited. He rushed back with drinks about 12 minutes later -- we finally ordered some cheesy bread. This took another 10-12 minutes...it's a pizza crust like dough with melted cheese!! Not hard!! The dough was undercooked, but the marinara was delish!! Waiting some more -- yes lots of waiting. We finally ordered! Then waited. Food finally came, pics added. Food was good, I would come back again for this. Nothing omg good, but good overall. This was the 2 stars. The pitfall was the service. From the time we sat to left was 1:54 minutes. We were we ready to order 7 minutes after sitting. This was too long. Server was nice but rushed. Asked for refill and never got it. Asked for ranch and got mustard. Just last of feeling served and like we were important. He offered a free dessert which was sweet, but I didn't have energy or time to wait any longer.... Service was terrible. The waiter never came by and asked how our dinner was and after some time the manager stopped and asked how everything is. I mentioned that the fries were very very salty. When the waiter returned I explained that they were way too salty and he said hum and walked away. I never received the new fries and when the waiter returned about 15 minutes later I asked about the fries again and he stated he would check with the cook. WOW blaming it on the cook however not bothering to check. Go figure. After some time I asked for our bill and he forgot to bring it to the table. He finally showed up and guess what. Our family has been frequenting V's since we moved here in 2016. Great ambiance and we love the back patio. The staff are always courteous and provide us with extra attention as my daughter is in a power wheelchair. The food is great and constantly revolving. My youngest always orders the grilled cheese and today was the first time it was actually grilled (with melted cheese this time!!). Which was impressive. My Cobb salad however? Had barely ANY lettuce. How does the CHEAPEST ingredient get treated like that? This was my tipping point. So tired of ordering take out from V's when they don't care about consistency with their dine in meals vs their take out meals. And this salad was $17. To skimp on the lettuce of a $17 salad is pretty bad. When I order this salad in the restaurant, I half it to eat the next day at lunch. That wasn't possible with this take out version.
