Superior Floors to the rescue!!…read more Before moving into our new house, we had the tile replaced with vinyl plank (LVP) by another company, who really screwed up one of the rooms. There was a giant soft spot since they started removing the tile but then stopped and just laid the vinyl planks over the tile, including the big hole they left. We went round and round with the first company to try getting them to fix it, until they just stopped showing up or returning phone calls. I found Superior Floors on Yelp and called them to see if they would be willing to fix someone else's mistake. Ryan came out to evaluate the situation and came up with a plan. A couple of weeks later, the installers came out, removed the poorly laid vinyl planks, removed the tile that was supposed to have been removed by the previous company, and reinstalled the planks. The floor is now solid and looks great! I appreciate their willingness to come out for a smaller job and fix someone else's mistake. They'll be my go-to for the future!

I'm so grateful we went with them because they did an incredible job. Michael's crew was even better than we were hoping for. They showed up on time, were very detailed in their work, made sure the leveling and spacing was perfect, and were in constant contact with us, making sure any concerns or questions were immediately addressed. One of my favorite parts of their work is when they showed us an issue with leveling or spacing and then fixed it without us having to say a word. They also left the house in a much better condition than I was expecting with some cleaning (everything was covered in tile dust after they removed the old tile). Overall, it was just a wonderful job. I'm relieved we had such a great experience with tile installation and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

Overall, it's a great company that communicate with us, clean up after themselves, and getting it done right throughout the whole process! The second was to remove the hardwood and put LVP in the entire space. R.B. came to my home on October 4 and measured etc. and said I would receive the estimates within a few days. After one week I still had not received the estimates so I called him. He told me he was sorry, they were short on help and he would have them to me the next day. It is now Nov. 3 and I have still not received the quotes. Needless to say, I would not do business with AB Floors & Restoration as they are proven to be unreliable.

Within 48 hrs, it was determined that the drain hose from our dishwasher (which is housed in the middle of a long island) had been leaking. We have wood floors throughout our home, and the water had traveled several feet under the island, causing extensive damage before it made itself evident. I called hardwood floor specialists, general contractors, and AB Floors & Restoration. NOBODY was as equipped to resolve EVERY aspect of this problem as was AB Floors & Restoration. Not only do they have the technical expertise to dry out the wood, remove water, restore floors and cabinets (among other things), but they also have the business acumen to ensure that the process is seamless. They even handle communication with the insurance company. Ronald, one of the owners, explained his expertise in this area and requested to speak with the insurance adjuster directly. He handled the initial visit with the adjuster at our home, and everything Ronald recommended was approved immediately. There were no surprises in the form of additional fees as the job got going. AB is a family business. The owners are present and very responsive. It is obvious that any subs needed are carefully selected excellent craftsmen. I cannot imagine the amount of stress we would have endured had we done this any other way. Without AB Floors, we would have had to hire several different kinds of specialists (i.e. flooring, plumbing, cabinetry, painting, etc.), leaving ourselves in charge and holding the bag whenever something went wrong or when the various specialists bumped into one another. I'm quite certain there also would have been surprises along the way, adding to the cost and the timing. If you are unfortunate enough to have a water problem, particularly one affecting wood floors, you would be very fortunate to have AB Floors & Restorations resolve it for you.

I will open this review by saying, I wish I'd done better due diligence on Ace, had I done so, I…read morenever would have hired them, so partially my fault for having a bad experience. I'm giving Ace Home Remodeling two stars instead of one because although the job was late and over budget in the end, I have an acceptable finished product. I'm giving this rating for three reasons. 1. Upon signing my contract with Ace we were directed to make a check out to Crash Crew LLC "for permits". When my permits were issued, I learned that a person I'd never met held the notice of commencement on my project, not Ace Home Remodeling. 2. On at least two occasions, the owner of Ace Remodeling informed us that her project manager was not cut out for remodeling work and was used to doing new construction. Everything I've been taught in business is to not bad mouth my employees to their clients. Needless to say, we were very unhappy with the project manager (failed to communicate to us, trades would show up at all hours of the day and evening unannounced, numerous errors made, low quality, etc) and so we asked that he be removed from our project. While this was initially agreed to towards the end, the owner brought him to our home on a Sunday morning, (we'd explicitly stated the project manager was not welcome at our job site) and were told - my business, my rules - IN OUR OWN HOME. Beyond unprofessional to me. 3. Work quality and re-work. Numerous measurement errors, causing the electrical and plumbing to have to be moved two and three times. Drywall seams meeting with no stud behind causing drywall cracking, walls built out of square and plumb. Shower pan failed inspection twice due to slope issues. Spot repairs to floor leveling causing uneven floors. No dimensioned drawings, and even then, when we together made site drawings, there were still multiple questions raised about the same topic. As I said, while many of these issues eventually got resolved, the amount of involvement from us as home owners was unacceptable. Because of the permitting issue above, we had to get an attorney involved to draw up a lien release (which Ace initially refused to sign) so that we could then file a Notice of Termination of the Notice of Commencement in order to protect our deed from someone who we had never met, nor had a contract with. It's really a shame because some of the tradespeople who worked on our job performed very good work.

They are two of the most respectful contractors and are just really honest and go those extra steps. They rescued some toys that I could never reach, and even dusted the ledge too. Hey, I am short lol! I even surprised them with some outlet swapping and he tested some outlets that made me nervous! They did a beautiful job and were so nice the whole time and did the job quickly and perfectly. I would hire this company to do any electrical job. I know they all do other home improvements as well. (I won't lie seeing them on the ladder...I was holding my breath but you would seriously think these two were on the ground with how comfortable they were up there!) Thank you Josh and Rob! He used a grinder on the floor, I think that's what it's called... I paid extra for a vapor seal to keep out moisture, totally worked, then I got a coat of epoxy. I think it lasts 5 years or so before I can think about another coat. 1 coat worked well for me, but I'm interested in 2 coats in the future & maybe some decorative fancy flecks of color. Right now mine is gray to match the water heater perfectly. The glossiness is incredible. After I cut the grass I'm HOT, but I can lay on the floor, no one is watching, and it's so nice and cool. Cools me. That brilliant floor makes me want to use the garage more! I even moved a small tv out there. It's much easier to sweep the floor, & makes the space so much nicer. I highly recommend them.
