The staff was all very friendly and inviting and were happy to recommend their favorite dishes to us. My wife ordered a French onion soup and one of their famously large salads, which are served in these big bowls. I decided to try the chef's special, which was a beef tenderloin a la rossini (truffle sauce and foie gras). I'm not typically a foie gras fan, but I figured since we're in Paris that I'd give it a shot. I'm very glad I did because it was absolutely delicious. The steak melded perfectly with the truffle sauce and fois gras. This was all served with potatoes au gratin, and blanched green beans. Everything was perfect. I also ordered two large beers. A Grimbergin blonde and a Kronenbourg ale. I love how both beers were served in their respective brand's glasses. Such a nice touch. For dessert, we ordered an Apple Tarte Tartin, upon a recommendation from one of the staff. It was light, sweet, and served with some ice cream and créme fraîce. This was such a great dinner all around. Great food, great vibes, which all lead to a great evening. Would definitely recommend!

I admit, I'm not very adventurous with food and don't care for traditional French food, so I had the grilled salmon, which was delicious. My husband, who does enjoy traditional French food, had the cassoulet with beans, sausage, and duck confit. He absolutely LOVED his meal and said it was probably the best meal he had while in Paris. And to complete our meal, we finished off with crème brûlée -- yum! [Yelp collections: Europe 2024; Paris, France]

We tried the rotisserie chicken pita and the ratatouille one. Both were packed full of fresh ingredients. I loved the veggie one. But shoutout to the pita because it didn't collapse or get soggy from all the veggies and sauce. It held its own and was delish. Inside has some tables in back that were good but really this is a quick lunch space and a great one at that. Delish.

That's what drew us to the fresh Israeli fare at this casual cafe. At around 7PM, the place was hopping because there were quite a few people not only dining but also waiting for takeout orders. We planted ourselves at the counter facing the busy prep area where the staff was assembling plates and pitas. We decided to share the 7,50€ Green Beans which looked to be quickly sautéed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil to a fresh, tasty snap (Photo 10). Jamie ordered the 13€ Golden Ratatouille, a healthy melange of eggplant, tomato, zucchini, carrot, and onion mixed in their house tomato sauce with a nice side of hard-boiled egg and tahini (Photo 8). Well, I thought one of us should try their specialty pita sandwiches, so I went with the 13€ Lamb Kebab. It was delicious with big lamb and beef meatballs peeking out of a nice fluffy pita stuffed with red onions and chopped cilantro, mint, and green onions. It was slathered liberally with tahini and their housemade spicy sauce (Photo 9). It was just the Middle Eastern meal we were hankering for. We can have escargots and croissants some other time. They also have a good selection of desserts and ice cream sundaes and milkshakes. I ordered one of my standard and favorite French cafe staples, the croque madame. The flavor was good and it was accompanied by a nice salad ( or fries if you wish ). My complaint is that the ham was chopped into little squares and hard to pick up since the pieces fell out of the sandwich non stop. Normally a nicer croque monsieur/madame sandwich would use slices of ham. I ordered a shot of espresso (un café) but the flavor was only so so. The Spring Greens Tofu deserves to be a winner, but it needs help. So first the bad. The portion size is way too small. One salad really couldn't be called a meal. Two together might fill you up. The ratio of ingredients is all wrong. There should be way more broccoli and way less green beans. The former is just one or two pieces crammed on top and the latter should be cut up so they can be mixed more easily and actually fit in your mouth. Speaking of mixing, the salad is sold in a single-use Tupperware, probably 12 ounces, and it's near impossible to coat everything with the creamy tofu dressing at the bottom if you're eating on the go. Now the good. That tofu dressing is extremely good. More restaurants should consider tofu as a binding agent instead of just a cubed protein. The variety of tastes and textures is spot-on, the aforementioned ingredients intermingling with crunchy cashews and chewy peas. The counter-service setup is ideal for quick affordable lunches and meals on the go. If the portions were more generous, this salad would be the perfect way of getting a healthy and filling meal. So in essence, there's no reason this meal couldn't be part of the rotation, but right now, it falls a little short.
