The interior spoke of old world dining. A quaint and charming decor that told a story of old Italy. The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was efficient and personable. You could tell she enjoyed her job. We indulged in a house Merlot that had a fantastic flavor. We tried the appetizer sampler platter that was just the right size for the two of us. Our entree's were prepared with great care and tasted of wonderfully fresh ingredients. The portion size was just right for us. We did not partake in any desserts, but the list looked just yummy. Just a great location in Old Town Avondale. We are looking forward to our return to try something new.

This is my 7th and last time coming here. I loved it last year. The food is fine don't get me wrong. But when it's wrong or the lady doesn't know how to explain the menu item it's frustrating. It's a nice vibe for a 2-4 person dinner, if you don't care about the space. I couldn't even finish my dinner the way it took so long and with the crammed room you could hear her at another table "I'm so sorry I forgot" "oh let me get that for you". Overall not a good experience besides the wine.

I noticed there were a lot of people eating inside and who does not like Italian food?! The place was really clean and I noticed a large variety of entrees being consumed by the many people eating inside g in the dining room. I ordered a chicken salad and a drink from a very warm and welcoming lady at the counter name, Yolanda. The price was really reasonable. I noticed Yolanda staying on top of cleaning g the tables in between running the front register. She also noticed the (real) folks were low and asked someone to bring up more. She also was very friendly and interested in getting to know some of the customers as they were passing through. She showed genuine interest in their experience and offered a bag and containers for their leftovers. I LOVE IT when you encounter great people working with the public. I do not know Yolanda. I have never met her before but she shined the light in that establishment. The food was great, but Yolanda you make the place feel like a homemade meal. Thank you.

The service was just as amazing, friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was just as fresh and delicious. Prices are still super reasonable, which makes it an even better go-to. Our favorite is the Forno 301 pizza, always a must-order. We also loved the wine selection, and of course, you can't skip the limoncello to finish. Highly recommend if you're looking for a delicious, affordable meal with great service!

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....

Shoutout to the third-party driver who accomplished the impossible: not only delivering my food, but also successfully remembering my drink. A rare legend in the delivery world. The only real bummer was the $35 minimum for delivery. I get that businesses have their reasons, but for one person who just wanted a pizza? Oof. That's a commitment. Thankfully, the lunch deals saved me, so I added a half salad and half sandwich combo plus a drink to meet the minimum. The sandwich became breakfast the next morning and honestly slapped harder than expected. The sesame bun? Elite. I forgot to order my pizza extra crispy, which is entirely on me. By the time it arrived, the combo of glorious cheese overload and veggie moisture softened things up a bit, but let's be real, I still demolished it without hesitation. Zero survivors. The garden salad was alright, though the bell peppers were weirdly bitter. Also, I may or may not have attempted to order extra pepperoncinis and only ended up with the standard lonely single pepper. Tiny heartbreak. Overall though? Decent experience, good food, and I'll absolutely order again... although next time I might just go in person so I can buy one pizza without taking out a small personal loan to hit the delivery minimum.
