I normally do not shop here, but this will change. I needed the Just-4-U price on the prime rib roast, and for some reason the clipped coupon would not show up on my Von's Card ... After being refused service by the manager at Von's on Victoria, I came to this store. The supervisor (Heather?) helped me. She explained that although Von's accepts my Von's card (35+ years) for regular discounts, digital coupons are not attached to the card, but only to my phone number, and instead of swiping my card, to enter my phone number instead. After checking my phone number (which I had changed) the young woman told me that if the digital coupon for the roast didn't go through, she'd give me the price anyway. When I explained what happened at the other Von's I was informed, that the manager at the other store could have given me the digital price had she wanted to... So, I am very grateful for the excellent customer service I received at this particular Von's. read more

I've been going to this Vons for years and I've only recently been doing the curbside pick up service for the past year or less. I didn't catch her name, but a nice Young Woman has always helped me with my curbside orders, every time she is fast and efficient. I can tell she works very hard and she deserves recognition as I know she does alot for his store and company day in and day out. read more

We buy a lot of deli meats for our home. Yesterday I was starving and I went to this Vons and bought a sandwich. Allan helped me in the service deli. I was really impressed. His customer service skills were wonderful and the San Pedro sandwich he made me was perfect. It could have been photographed for an ad and tasted amazing with so much meat and the perfect amount of hogie sauce. I was impressed with the service I received from Allan. read more

Upon leaving the store, I noticed that I didn't get the discount even though the cash register guy named Lloyd said that the discount was applied for getting two free twelve packs after buying two. I believed him and if I didn't look at my receipt, I wouldn't have known that they did charge me for four twelve packs instead of giving me two for free. Whoever shops at Vons knows that they offer this deal quite a bit during the year. Seems pretty straightforward, right. Lol. The only thing I could think of is that I didn't enter the correct phone number. That's the only way I could be wrong. Any other reason it's their fault. I called when I got home and I explained to a team member. She should've handed me over to management, once I explained myself. I did not cuss or speak out of her name. She shouldn't meet hostility with hostility. I'm the customer. I'm the one that's mad. I'm the one that's inconvenienced. She should've just listen to me and if I interrupted her, she should've just been interrupted because I'm disgruntled consumer. I'm a retired person and I ran 6000 to 8000 people and I probably say this every time but every time it has to do with customer service that's really really not on par., I tend to say that. Lol. She proceeded to interrupt me after I interrupted her and started saying that I was hostile and that I could call tomorrow and speak to different management if I was gonna be hostile with her and she hung up on me. When I came on Yelp, I wasn't surprised to see that it has 2.5 stars. People should deal with customers if their management they shouldn't proceeded to hang up on them when consumers are upset. I had every right to be upset as long I didn't cuss or call her out of her name or start degrading her. There's no reason of going into the whole reason, but that's the main reason I was upset because I didn't get the discount after the cash register guy told me I was going to get the discount and then she started to proceed-telling me about nothing that has to do with the sodas that's why I interrupted her and that's why she got mad.... I guess I'm gonna have to take time out of my day to go tomorrow and talk to management during the day and see what she says. I will change the review if she understands that the people there need to deal with customers more accordingly, based on how the service is being provided. read more

I love this store! Every time I go in there to shop, I find everything I needed and more. I completely love the bakery area and cheeses. The flowers are also always on point and not too pricey. Never leave this store disappointed. read more

I've brought home expired groceries way to many times from here. I should be checking dates but figured I could trust out local grocery store. Vons is definitely one of the pricier grocery stores and I really don't know why. Quality of groceries suck! I know others who have had this experience at other Vons stores also. It's time to close them down. read more

Though Vons is no longer my regular grocery shopping spot due to insanely high prices and the Vons app not even being helpful in savings anymore, I still venture here now and then to get items that aren't at my usual reasonably priced grocery store. But the past few times now I seem to always end up with an expired item! Doesn't matter what department. It seems like there's just overall a lot of expired things on the shelves. It also seems increasingly empty when I go in. I understand companies had it hard during Covid but these prices and the declining quality of what's offered here is awful. The employees here are always wonderful and that's the sole redeemer. read more

I recently purchased a Birthday card and Visa Gift card for this Vons as a Birthday Gift for a relative outside of the local area. Sent it off only to hear back that when they attempted to use the Visa Gift card it had already been used in Glendale, CA. I was so upset but I did have my receipt and contacted the vendor. The Vendor directed my to the store manager with my receipt. Looking for resolve or at least report the action. The Manager (Thomas) said that there was nothing that they could do. It was activated and was no longer a store issue. He could file a report if I had the card. I explained that it was a gift out of the area and I did have my receipt. His whole attitude and lack on concern was enough for me to prompt a Yelp. My personal opinion is that their staff had something to do with it. It was used in SOCAL. I hate to think there are Shady people out there but once again I was proven right. As the Store Manger Customer Service Rep. you should be standing behind a products you sell in your store or if there are know issues consider discontinuing selling these items. There are several other shopping options in this area. You just lost one of your Loyal Customers. Happy Birthday to You Vons... read more

My friend ordered a custom made cake , the initial order was taking over the phone and the employee reconfirmed the order , strawberry cake with black and white Frosting. The cake came with pink and white frosting and instead of adding cream cheese in the filling , they put a butter and sugar pink frosty . The cake was $45 dollars of disappointment. When the cake was picked out the employee stated that they were trying to reach my friend over the phone with not luck and they just made a strawberry cake. Unbelievable, we ended up throwing the cake to the trash due the the flavor and the dry bread that taste like a week old cake. It's a place you go for food and stuff. The only thing, don't get cakes, beware if you have a child's birthday and order from this location. Upon picking up the cake, it was the wrong design. What? I don't usually shop at this Vons, but it's convenient for me for whenever I need something last minute. There's a lot of homeless people and suspicious looking individuals that hangout in the parking lot and/or right at the entrance/exit. Inside the store, there are always long lines because they usually only have 2 check stands open -- a little annoying when you're just trying to pop in and out. On the plus side, they make Mexican sweet breads that apparently aren't made at other Vons in the area. They're addicting!! Haha read more

A very rough neighbor hood because the first time I shopped there I was faced with 6 cop cars and guns drawn in the parking lot. Homeless folks milling about at the entry doors. No private security. Stopped off at my neighborhood Vons to pick up a few things for my dinner plans. Upon arrival I see an array of cop cars pulled up at the front entrance of the super market. I still saw people coming in and out, so I parked and proceeded with curiosity and caution. As soon as I walked in, I looked around to check and see if there was anything out of place, or if I can see anything of caution. I noticed all the cops were around the Vons Wells Fargo bank. I overheard a bond employee tell a customer that they had just been robbed, or attempted robbery. Now this is my neighborhood Vons, like I said, so I am acquainted with most employees as well as the bank is where I bank, so this hit close to home for me. Glad to report everyone is ok and safe and they put out a search for the man at large. I don't know much of the details but that was what I was able to gather upon talking to the Vons employees. The Wells Fargo employees where not allowed to speak of it just yet. read more

Right across from where I work, this is my "go to" vons. On the positive side, the staff is always friendly... on the not so positive side, they never seem to have enough check stands open. There have literally been times that I've just left my little basket and walked out. Back to the brighter side, the parking lot is easy to get in and out off (unlike many neighboring grocery stores) and there are a few convenient businesses located right next door. Pick up some groceries and donuts for the kids... Or grab your groceries, a haircut and your dry cleaning. Prices are average, not great, but your rewards points can earn you up to 20 cents off your Chevron gas, which with my suburban comes out to about $20 savings a month. Another plus is the taqueria located right across the street; it's one of my favorites but only accepts cash so I'm frequently dropping in at this vons to make a withdrawal from the Wells Fargo ATM located inside. They also recently expanded the bank inside so it is completely full service. read more

This pharmacy seems incapable of filling or even receiving prescriptions. My doctor electronically submitted a prescription for an EpiPen but when I called the pharmacy claimed not to receive it. I checked back with my doctor, who submitted it again but when I then went up to pick it up it still was not there and they claimed not to have received it. A week later after three phone calls from my veterinarians office, including thr practice owner calling herself, they still insist they did not receive a prescription order for my dog. (The pharmacist also admitted to not having listened to prescription requests from the day before so God help anyone who needed their medication urgently.) Went to go shop for roses on Valentine's Day, picked out a bunch from a bucket that said $60 and another bunch from a bucket that said $25. Went to go ring up and the smaller bunch was ringing up at $40, associate went to go check price and saw the bucket labels wrong, told the florist manager and the manager stated that the bucket is not located correctly. I stated if they could give it to me for the $25 since it's an associates mistake. She replied no and I replied that legally they have to give it to me for that price according to Weights and Measures. She said no and if I had an issue I could talk to their assistant store manager who was standing next to her. Trina Carter the assistant store manager took over the conversation and replied the same thing that they weren't going to change it and she "fixed" the problem by kicking the bucket of flowers to the left to a higher price point that still wasn't the correct price point of the flowers. This is my go to Vons. It's clean, has everything you need and the staff is incredibly helpful. I frequent this Vons a couple times a month. I don't do my serious shopping here because I prefer Walmart neighborhood market or Winco and I buy most of my bulk at Costco. But this store is great for intermittent things you may need throughout the month. I usually pick up fruit from this location and the fruit had always been great. Watermelons are a good price and nectarines are always good quality. They have organic fruit if you're into that kinda thing too. Often there is a produce person ready to help you pick your fruit. I also hit up the freezer section quite a bit for frozen lunch meals on sale. Everything's always on sale and if you use your Vons club card it'll save you a bit. The liquor dept. is great too! Carries a few of my favorite red wines! The best thing about this location is hands down the staff.
