2.1 ounces of FAT from a filet mignon weighing in at 9.12 ounces

Allow me to preface this review with the statement that... I do not understand why anybody shops at Vons... their sales prices are even higher than other discount markets regular prices. I shop there only in an urgent situation for convenience sake and this is why I don't like Vons or at least one of the reasons. This filet mignon weighs in at .57 pounds per the sticker on the package... Which is 9.12 ounces. When I went to prepare it, the.FAT weighed in at 2.1 ounces. that would be about 23% of that $25.99 fillet mignon was waste.... Unless you love FAT, then that is totally unacceptable and a giant rip off. Of course, at least to me, it is no surprise that this market as well as others in the chain rate less than 2.5 on a 5.0 scale. But who can blame them for their corporate greed... Hell if Trump can get away with ripping off billions then why shouldn't the corporations follow suit.

For many stores that have the small pricing with the Vons Stores you will find all products marked catching your eye.

For the many that remember the nights of protestors that had destroyed the many areas of San Diego and the many areas of the East County leaving many buildings that were destroyed from the violence that took place here in many areas. One of the strongest stores that was destroyed so badly, and the front area of the store was destroyed yet the many months that people waited the city of Lamesa, and the University Ave helped with the many repairs to bring the Spring Street Village back to the way it was before. The Lamesa Village is one of the older parts of the city of Lamesa and the Lamesa Blvd is the main rod that takes you through the city past the many restaurants to where you can go to church and go shopping at Sprouts. Vons is one store that when you walk in the store and the many departments that you see tight when you come in the front door past the Starbucks Coffee. When I had arrived at Lamesa Village it was by way of the trolley and the short walk from the Lamesa Blvd Transit Center with the short walk there are many buses close by the Vons Store. With the large parking areas out front and the many stores and with a Panda Express close by you have so many choices with Vons has some of the best sandwiches and soups you can choose from the large Delhi they have great cold cuts with some of the best salads. Making dinner I was going to Vons for the large tomatoes and the red onions and the large containers of sour creme which was on sale at the store. Vons has been one store for when the store first opened it was the one store that had created such a great family with the beast place to come and the interior was one that had the bit of the taste of a large barn and the structure was one big store. For the many shoppers that come to the Vons store you have one of the best times with the Starbucks Coffee you can have a Frappuccino and still have the best time of shopping. The customer service is one of the best and yet with some times you may have to gap them on the shoulder and ask directions. For the many food stores that are here in San Diego Vons is one that was purchased by Albertson's I have shopped at also and I have found that Vons Lamesa Village Spring Street has the great atmosphere. As a Yelp Elite Reviewer, the many years that Vons has had and the many years with the City of Lamesa the store has been one that has battled through the many difficulties and has risen from the many conflicts. Vons has been one of the best providing the many freshest products with one of the greatest bakeries that keeps people coming back for more.

Gelato: believe it was a coffee one Everything has been freaking delicious, fresh, great portions, definitely a spot I visit once a week lol. The crazy calabrese was a little on the salty side but it was still pretty good. Best sandwich so far has been the spicy sicilian. The market is well sorted with lots of interesting items and fair prices. The only thing is their tall cans of craft beer. A lot of them were old or had no date on the bottom of the can and as someone who works in the beer industry let me tell you. Beer does go bad. Not in a you can't drink it kind of way but flavor declines, especially craft beer. Skunky, taste changes, aroma changes, color changes, it's just not great. I picked up a can that was dated May 2025, for craft that is OLD and not good. Not a problem for your average person but I'm just letting y'all know. Nonetheless this place is delicious, the service is great, fast, friendly. The food is overall good, the market is nice and well sorted. What I don't understand are the comments that say I been here so many times but never left a good review, suddenly they have one bad experience over something like not enough lettuce or they ran out of something and leave a bad review. GTFOH! And no I wasn't paid for this review or know anyone from this business, I just hate what yell has become

My recommendation is maybe they clear out the meats and give the whole department a good deep cleaning. Also consider implement clean processes to keep the smell away because it's really impacting what is being sold. It's off putting to take home meats that it has a funky smell.

This location has a good sized parking lot, we never have issues finding a spot, the store has a good layout, this location is better stocked than other sprouts (I love that they have honest kitchen pet food cuz that's what we give our pets and also that they just started carrying pasture raised chicken), is nicely lit & clean, but what makes the biggest difference here is how noticeably friendly and kind the employees are. In the past we were checking out some freeze dried fruits and an employee came up and asked if we wanted to sample it. It's not like it was a bulk item - it was a sealed packaged product. We had already bought them before in a different brand so we didn't want to have him open it for us but I still thought that was really nice. Throughout the many times we've been to this location, we've always been met with genuine smiles and warm greetings. Today in particular as we were walking down the dairy aisle toward the eggs, there was a lady restocking the eggs and as I walked toward her she gave me such a warm smile. And then she chatted with us to let us know about the current wellness week sale and then helped us find the eggs we were looking for. She was super sweet. My husband and I both walked away saying how nice she was. Then we went to the supplement section to see if we needed anything because of the wellness week sale and an employee was walking the ends of the aisles asking if anyone needed help finding anything - but in a nice way not a pushy way. We went to checkout and I saw the name badges of the cashier and bagger. Jacob and Joe. Again, both just genuinely friendly. You can tell the difference between an employee who's just doing a job and doesn't care and asks you if you found everything okay vs someone in a good mood who actually seems to want to help if you weren't able to find everything you need. The vibe here feels like the manager is a super nice person and treats all the employees with kindness and respect while asking them to focus on customer service and because the manager treats them so well and created a safe/healthy work environment- it's a pleasure to work here. Not saying that's what is happening here but I'm just saying that's the vibe I get.
