Since i was in Springfield and wanted the regional special, I had a classic horseshoe (ground beef, regular fries, Monterey cheese). It was fine. What a cool restaurant and bar in Springfield. I really enjoyed our lunch here. Their happy hour…read moreboard mentioned an appetizer "Lincoln Logs" (bwaaa haa haaar!) but it is not on the regular menu. We ordered them and were a bit surprised to see how large these logs were. They are enormous fried monterey jack cheese sticks. Mmmmmm! They were good, served with a side of ranch. The service is fast and friendly, I think our server was named Quinn. She was very good. My brother and I shared the grilled fish tacos and the shrimp tacos, both of which were very tasty. I liked the shrimp tacos a little bit better, not sure why but I liked the presentation and the fillings. Our friend got a pulled pork sandwich with fries and she enjoyed it. The bar area is dark mostly because of the wood and has some charm. I loved that they had a Touch Tunes jukebox so we had fun playing our favorite songs and torturing the other guests with our 80s music. Lots of TVs in the bar area and a good selection of food.

Even though they seemed really busy but we were seated right away. My wife had the house salad and added grilled chicken, I ordered the hamburger ponyshoe because I heard they were really good here. Our food came out extremely fast (too fast for fresh cooked food) the French Fries on my Pony shoe were a little undercooked and soft and the burger seemed to be precooked because it was barely warm and the cheese sauce was still hot. It was okay but I wouldn't order it again especially when the best Ponyshoe/Horseshoe in the state is at another restaurant just around the corner. Because the atmosphere and service was great we will probably be back but will try something different next time.

When we arrived, the place was packed (as expected) and I went to window to pick it up & they told me to go to bar. I went to bar & finally got waited on only to be told "it would be easier if you went to the end of the bar". Easier for her maybe. After going to the end of the bar & waiting in line - again - nothing. No service, no eye contact, no help from ANYBODY. My daughter & I walked out & went to Springfield to eat & caught up with Jeep Run at next location. You would think with the 3-4 bartenders & at least 2 waitresses you could at least be acknowledged. Pretty much a chaos cluster. BTW - I use to bartend across the street from Hockey rink. We would get slammed with 200+ after every game. It can be done - smoothly

The staff was on top of everything, just the right amount of attention, and the bar area has amazing space (the plane up in the recesses of the ceiling is a sight to behold) and feels so welcoming. It was a little hot to me for the patio but others did not agree (they were no doubt Northerners who need the sun but this Southerner has had enough this year) and it was nearly full. The beer and cider was flowing (I tried the Brown Ale and was delighted) and everyone was having a perfect end-of-week celebration.

Such a great "dive bar" feel too, I missed that. It's very clean, spacious and the outside aesthetic is great!! The fridge drink selections are fair! It was nice to have a Surfside and Miller High Life after being out of the country for so long. We didn't eat anything but had a great time with the drinks, sports on TV and selecting our own music on TouchTunes. I love those in bars. We came in at a decent hour, way before closing, maybe around 10 but the bar dining room was already packed up for closing -- chairs were put up. We sat at the bar, danced around and stepped outside a bit so it was alright. But I feel like with more drinks, music and the people that were on the way it would've been a great BLAST.
