Extremely unhelpful gentleman at the counter - we found that they had a certain record online and we couldn't find it in the bins, so we asked the gentleman working and he said "I don't know, if it's here it's in the bin." On top of that, it smells terribly of smoke and the guy working had an attitude to someone on the phone while we were there. Bad service, bad selection. I was in the area searched for vinyl. Found Volume Music. Picked up a few RSD drops I hadn't found in HTX, and one I was going back for at 20% less than I had seen in HTX. I keep coming back, and keep returning. No attitude just good unobtrusive service. A respite from shops where the clerks think they're the rock stars. In strip centre which has ample parking. I bit of a bike from inside the loop but, the experience is worth the drive. read more

Volume Music came through when my local store sold out of the Noah Kahan Cape Elizabeth vinyl on Black Friday RSD. I called before taking a 50 minute drive to check if they still had it and to my luck they did. Despite not being able to hold it for me, their confirmation was appreciated. Love this store. Not only do they have a great selection, their prices are perfect. I gauge every other store off of this one. I'll look at the same album here, then at the store in the mall or second and Charles and it's always way cheaper here. I've basically stopped buying vinyl anywhere else in the area because they're all overpriced compared to volume. Second and Charles sells the same things for $5-$30 more. Not even making that up. Love this store, love how they always have plenty of stock and sell everything from jazz to metal to whatever garbage is on the radio. All the employees are super nice too and will answer any questions. read more

I highly recommend this business. The lady who runs it is extremely helpful and always has a smile on her face, and everything is fairly priced. Stopped in here today for the first time, after discovering the place via Discogs and social media. Staff super friendly, and welcoming. Found the record I came for as well as another used lp that I had been searching for. Currently stock is a little light, probably because they only recently opened, but surely that will change over time. However I was told they could order whatever I wanted. Carrying new and used records, and CD's. They are also featuring some live music, starting today with a local WoodlandsTX artist. Great to have a record store in the area! I will be back. read more

I have always been that guy that would spend time to go through every item in record stores in Houston since the 80's. From Sound Warehouse, Don's Record Store, and the others around town, I have spent good money through the years. Sadly, those have all gone away but there are still stores that come up and take on the task of providing new and used music at a great price. Nothing like going through and finding little gems tucked away in record bins, from 45's to cassettes and LP's, this place has it all. This store is well laid out, clean, and organized. All the used records have been sorted and cleaned in the Spin-Clean system, sleeved, and categorized for the next person to enjoy. Keep on spinning the black circle. read more

You gotta check out this store - I started collecting vinyl's about a year ago and I always get some good finds - new and original prints! The owners can get you anything you want if they don't have it and are offering curbside delivery right now! I love hanging out and I learn something new every time I go - the owners are very knowledgeable and just very cool to hang out with. They also have CD's and Cassettes and other music collectibles.
