Our only real gripe was that it took three attempts to actually get in the store because each time we came there was a sign about "out to lunch at seemingly random times. Mind Games is a great little hobby shop that has just about anything a geek or sports card nut could want. Located in downtown Oneida (not the commercial strip on route 5), Mind Games has an awesome collection of the following: -board games (awesome selection) -vintage video games -Magic the gathering cards and supplies -sports cards -other things nerds would love Seriously - you can totally geek out here. They have already placed a special order to find a game they didn't normally carry - so customer service is great. They have a gaming room out back for playing Magic and other games. As any other local business, their prices are higher than you will find on Amazon, but they need to keep the lights on somehow. Support your local small businesses!

This has a vendor style set up, and seems to change around. It is winter, and I will say the place is freezing, but it gave home to a little room up and to the side that had a friendly man who really turned his space into a little oasis. It was shut off from the rest, had space heaters and was well curated with items. It was a really fun place to find. Recently they seemed to have turned the front into a redemption center for recycling. I am all about recycling but it did smell really terrible. It was also cold enough we didn't get to explore all of the floors. In the waaaaay back there is a door labeled with a sign that says "unheated! Close door behind you!" This vendor space had some really gorgeous antiques in it, with a few lights I am still thinking about. My advice is to go, dress warm if its cold outside, and prepare for a little adventure as there are twists and turns and places to find everywhere. Not all the stairs are connected too, so if you find a place with stairs, go up them!

Good prices, a growing selection of good to great condition games, and a lot of effort put in to cleaning up used controllers, systems, and anything else covered in gamer gunk. The PS2 slim I bought looks like it came straight out of factory packaging, and the games I bought came with near-mint cases and coverart. Alex and his group of ne'er-do-well's put in the effort to satisfy his community, and I look forward to seeing them outgrow their current foot-mixed-with-Trump's-diaper-wrapped-in-fast-food-wrappers smell.
