It had been months since I'd been To New York City and all I could think of was pizza... when I happened upon this wonderful pizzeria I could help but feel euphoria. The pizzas sauciness transported me back to an epic adventure of drinking and spontaneity. The staff were beyond polite and welcomed me into their pizza family. I use to order here when I was a kid. (40 years ago) it was the best pizza in town. Now it is the worst. I ordered a few years back and my pizza came burnt. When I complained, they really didn't care. I did not order there again until 4 days ago. It was terrible. When I opened the pizza box it looked terrible. There was barely any cheese. There were spots that had none It was so thin. I had company over and I was embarrassed at what I was feeding them. The wings were not the worst I have had but definitely need improving. I've had their pizza multiple times before. it's okay pizza. Today, my husband and i were craving more than the two slice special that they normally offer, so we ordered a large (12 slice) pizza. We were expecting 12 of the normal slices that they give you. Instead we were graced with slices that were 1/4 of any normal slice of pizza (see pictures). I don't know if i will be back. read more

Horrible! I would give it 0 out of 5 if it would let me! Pizza and Wing combo ordered for delivery. Asked if celery and blue cheese included in the combo. Answer was carrots and blue cheese. Agreed that no celery was ok. Delivery not on time. Noticed a car driving by a couple of times, waved him down and he told me he was given the wrong address. Paid $45 for a pizza wing combo. Food cold at this point. No carrots, only blue cheese. Wings were legs only. Called the restaurant to inquire about the order and missing items. Told by the owner you get what you get! Customer service obviously not a priority. Will never order from this restaurant again. Horrible service! Ignorant owner on the phone! read more

Volcano is a Welland landmark for food. It's few and far between that you find a pizza joint that's true to an old school pizza and wings format without trying to get fancy. Yes, it's a little grungy inside, but it's not really meant to be a dinning room. Take your pizza and go. And yes, the people working there are not all-stars with customer service, but your paying for pizza, they need to take the order and get back to making your dinner. Try the place out and experience it for yourself. read more

Alright pizza place. Pizza tastes good and wings are alright. Average prices for a pizza joint. Only a few tables to sit at if You choose to eat in, but very hot in the summer. Also seems a little dirty in the kitchen area. Staff isn't the friendliest. read more

A friend of mine introduced me to this place and I was not disappointed. I loved the taste of their sauce and their $5 special is perfect! My friend drivs from Mississauga, picks me up in Hamilton and we hit this place every now and then, although he goes more often than I. We hit is late at night and as he's driving back to the QEW I'm almost done my pizza :) There was ever only one downside....the workers there seem to be kinda stunned at times. Went there once and he seemed confused that I would wait for new pizzas to be cooked (they were down to their last $5 pizza). Odd but worth the drive to Welland :) read more

Tried via Skip The Dishes. Ordered Pizza and Wings...got pizza only. Talked to skip driver who said he wasn't given wings and that I should call the restaurant. They were promptly rude, yelled at me to say "no no, no way I gave him the bag of wings you have to call skip". Skip The Dishes was quite helpful....called both driver and restaurant only to find out...yup, you guessed it....wings were still at the restaurant....never given to the driver. At first I thought I wouldn't use Skip again, but the issue wasn't them (was promptly refunded) but won't ever bother with Volcanos again.....their middle of the pack food isn't worth the hassle. read more

Nothing special...have had better. Celery that came with wings was brown and not crispy at all; as though it was soaking in water for a few days. Service needs to be improved. Phone etiquette and the gruff attitude when you call keeps me from ordering again. read more

Had 50% off coupon and it seemed like they took 50% off the pizza crust! Terrible thin crust, warm not hot, not like it use to be. Said 45 minutes but obviously was ready well before that. If I didn't have the 50% off then this pizza would have been $18?? Not worth it, won't be back. read more

Went to the Welland Volcano Pizzeria and payed $40+ dollars for my party size pizza and 40 wings. Ate 2 slices and went to eat the third only to find A MOSQUITO UNDERNEATH IT! I'm completely disgusted! After finding this I checked the pizza to discover MOSQUITO LEGS on the pizza as well. Disgusting! The chicken wings didn't seem to taste right either and It's safe to say I'll never be eating here again. Also the service is horrendous and extremely rude. read more

Pizza 5/10 Wings 5/10 Service 1/10 After hearing great things, I decided to order from here. I ordered a small pizza, 10 wings and a 2l coke. After being hung up on, I was made to wait an hour and 20 minutes before the delivery person came. Once they were here, they realized that half of the order hadn't been put in their bag. I was then made to wait another 15 minutes for them to go and grab the rest of my order. She was a nice person, but did not offer any type of compensation for the long wait, and mixup. The pizza was mediocre, and the wings were okay. Needless to say, I will never order from this place again. read more

I go to the fonthill location.it has a very nice quaint sit in area. This is currently my favorite pizzeria. We order asiago, pep,bacon, mushrooms and its just delicious. Sometimes with the students they hire for prep your pizza tastes a but off and inconsistent with the last time you were there. I recommend you not let the detour you from coming back though. Staff are very friendly nice people and you get to know them. read more

Volcano does good pizza. They offer a simple classic thin-crust pepperoni that is really great. Unfortunately, their restaurant is grimy and poorly kept, and their service is brusque and disinterested. They offer a well-priced walk-in special, but most of the time they will tell you that they have none available and are unwilling to make new ones while you wait, making them really unreliable. They might be open until 11 on weeknights, but if you go there past 8 PM; don't expect much of anything. False advertising and crummy service ensure this place is bottom of the list for me. read more

Worst pizza we ever had. I will never return. Some kid, knocked on my door for 3hrs trying to sell me coupons for this company. I finally purchased this booklet of coupons for $25. He said, it is new owners and they are trying to bring back business. These coupons, are so stupid and a waste of money, because you have to tell them first that you are using a coupon and they are very scimpy on the dough, sauce, cheese and pepperoni. This pizza was like trying to eat a piece of cardboard. It looked like it was cooked then frozen then reheated - not fresh at all. My kids, even my dog wouldn't eat it. My husband, which is the only one who ate a slice- hugged the toilet all night. When I called them, to explain, how bad this pizza was, they told me to call the number on the booklet- which is a marketing company. I threw the pizza and coupons in the garbage. We ordered from here all the time! Amazing pizza and wings! We run a business and were ordering for our birthday parties. There were coupons on the top of the boxes but when we tried to redeem the coupons they said the coupons were not valid. We explained that they were from the boxes. The person on the phone was very rude and when I asked for a supervisor/owner he said he was the owner. We were very upset because of the horrible service and the fact that they gave us the coupons so why couldn't we use them!?! Haven't ordered there since and never will again! read more
