I'm beyond disappointed with what was once my favorite pizza shop. Last week, we placed a large order including a build-your-own Neapolitan, an artisan pizza, and three orders of Vocelli rolls for visiting family. Upon arriving home, we discovered our Neapolitan pizza was completely bare--no sauce, no cheese, only sausage and pepperoni on top of bread. We thought it was a joke. My husband called, and the staff claimed I hadn't ordered those toppings, which is absurd. They offered a free Neapolitan on our next order, which seemed reasonable at the time. Tonight, we tried to redeem that offer. After confirming the store's location and checking my call log, the manager claimed we had never ordered from them before! He demanded a receipt as proof. After digging it out, we called again, only to be told my husband had to drive 20 minutes to the store just to place the order. He did, and then the manager claimed the non-itemized receipt didn't prove we ordered pizza. Seriously? The level of incompetence and poor customer service is astounding. They not only messed up our order but then accused us of lying and made it incredibly difficult to resolve their mistake. Save yourself the frustration and find another pizza place. The service was terrible. We ordered a pizza and when we got home and opened the box, it had NO CHEESE OR SAUCE. We called and spoke to the manager who assured us we would be credited a free pizza next time we ordered. When we tried to order a week later, we were told we had never ordered from them before and they wouldn't accept our receipt as proof of our previous order because it wasn't itemized and we couldn't prove we'd ordered pizza. This place is great! The crust is hand tossed, thin and crispy. There's a ton of toppings on the pizza and the crust holds it all. We're pleasantly surprised. The bill was $30 for a 15" pizza, 6 rolls & 3 drinks. Can't beat it. read more

Only giving a three star because the pizza was good and the older gentleman that placed our order was very nice. The guy cooking the pizza on the other hand was vocal with his F**k words. I heard him say this about 30 times while eating. He was disrespectful to the older gentleman, yelling at him and cursing at him. While all this is going on a probably 12 year old walked in and the cook was still throwing the F word left and right. No one should ever have to experience this. read more

Came here the other day for the first time. I'm from Georgia & Normally when I'm in town I always get DiCarlos Pizza. but I wanted a Stromboli & I'm sure glad I came here. This store would not give the previously established school discount when I attempted to order pizzas for my choir students (a curricular music subject). They explained that it was not a large enough order (about ten pizzas) and that they normally only give the "school discount" for larger orders "you know, like for the football team." Terrible, ordered two specialty pizzas one med, one large, and when I get there they tell me they could not make one of them. I reluctantly decided to pay for the remaining order, and when I opened it up at home I got a small cheese pizza that was clearly sitting for hours, along with the wrong bread sticks that were cold as well. Called to get a full refund, and I would not be surprised if they fail to refund me, since as the manager told me they were too busy. Usually love the place but today we went to make an order for delivery online and were given a 2 hr estimate. Called the store immediately when given the estimate and inquired whether it was accurate and the lady said it would be 2 hrs for every order. I asked to cancel the order and was directed to the manager who said, "well we already made it" and hung up. I do not recommend this place and will never order again. I was disappointed today after I ordered a Grilled Chicken salad for lunch. Normally the container is packed full but not the last few times I ordered. We placed an online pizza order at 8:13 this evening with the Steubenville store as we OFTEN do. If you keep records, you will find that we have been pretty loyal and spend quite a bit at your establishment. Being a pizza store in the area, that matters because let's face it pizza shops are everywhere around here. I chose to have the driver leave the pizza on the porch so we didn't have contact. I didn't see an issue because Vocelli's has been here many times delivering, my house is clearly marked so what could go wrong?? Unless your driver delivered the pizza to drive that is. That would cause a whole bunch of issues it seems, most of which would come your extremely rude, unhelpful assistant store manager named Virgil. He offered ZERO remedies and eluded to the fact that he couldn't prove that I didn't get my pizza. I told him you could certainly prove I didn't when your driver tells you what house he delivered the pizza to and it wasn't Blvd. He told me he was out on a delivery and would have to call me back and hung the phone up on me. I am now sitting here with a starving kid, an angry husband and pizza that I paid for and never received. I expect to have my money refunded and I will be disputing the charges with my card company, I would suggest some retraining for Virgil as well. Calling my husband a "playa" and for him to be so bold to tell us to go ahead and call corporate isn't a good look for your management. Seems as though he doesn't value the customers nor care how he makes Vocellis look and may be there just to collect a paycheck.
