I committed to one lesson a week for a year and it was amazing. There's only so much I know with only musical exposure for a year but what I can tell you regarding my singing is that I have more fun, I am more confident, and dare I say I may even sound quite a bit better. Gabi helped me discover what my vocal strengths are, helped with my weaknesses, and taught me all kinds of techniques to use when singing. (I still don't know what half of them are called but she was great at putting it in terms for me to understand) I'm just an average person who likes to jam to Disney musicals in my car. She really connects with her students which allowed her to help me explore other music that I may enjoy, and it definitely worked. It was an expensive commitment, sure, but that initial fit gave me the confidence to commit and somehow I feel I got more out of than I was expecting. I…read moredon't push my daughter to play the piano or practice and I don't care how quickly she learns so she is totally free to make this her own thing. She however, has learned enough to perform. She's performed at a venue before the pandemic and now she's performed online. This has given her so much more confidence. It is such a delight to hear her play and I know she enjoys it because I never made her. I know however, that some parents expect a certain measure of practical piano progress in their children and if you're looking for that, Michelle is great! She works with kids to help them practice on their own and assigns light homework to keep them directed. Michelle offers online instruction and also in-home instruction but with very strict infection control regulations. She is very cautious and cares about not spreading disease. Two years on, and I couldn't be happier with Mr. Goran's impact. Sure, my daughter's still a bit shy on stage, but behind the scenes, her progress is something to behold.
