I've been in a few times since it's opened and I've never been disappointed. I happened by here today with one of my friends so we could check out the sales. I have to say, I was even more impressed than usual. Service is always great, but even with a store crowded with throngs of bargain hunters, we both received excellent service. The salespeople were extremely helpful despite the crowd. Whenever a store has a sale on, I always feel like I'm going to end up picking through the remnant pieces of clothing that no one else wants, however, today, that was not the case...the sale prices were amazing and the selection was ridiculous. We had a great time shopping and literally had to stop ourselves from buying more than we did. Overall, they carry a great selection of office attire, and great weekend attire as well. Will definitely be going back...there's a reason this place is one of my favourite shopping spots.

I thought I'd give it a shot and see if they'd be nice enough to accommodate me. The manager I spoke to certainly didn't look too pleased that I was exchanging an item instead of purchasing something, however, she made an exception and allowed me to exchange the shirt for the current selling price ($25 dollars less than original value). I quickly picked out something and paid $8 more. Another sales person helped me at the cashier who was friendlier than the Manager. She wrapped the new shirt up nicely and apologized they couldn't do something more. Overall, a pleasant experience at Ann Taylor where you'll receive A-OK service!

For example, there was a sign in the window for months that said "70% off Everything" and in very little text said that "Burberry and New Arrivals" weren't included. What this translated into was 70% off high priced obscure brand names, about 50% of merchandise; hardly "Everything". They really like to tote about their Burberry collection but its very very over-priced and I wonder how they will hold up once the Burberry store opens on Bloor Street. Sales people are some what pushy and as is typical for Yorkville they really don't have any flare for fashion and are more like sales robots.

Also, while I was there I saw at least one happy customer make a number of fine purchases. I am so happy now that their second location in Vaughan is open, it's much more convenient for me (but that could be dangerous for my bank account) The only negative about the Bathurst location, is that its a little tricky finding parking, but if you persevere, its worth it.

They made snarky comments about how I didn't need a new coat and much more. When I returned with a bunch of friends, since I now had a huge store credit, the sales associate wouldn't even pull a coat for me to try on since he said, "I tried it on the day before". I then told him that I wanted to try it on for my friends so I could get their opinion on the coat. The sales associate then walked away. Talk about rude! I just spent over $1000 in their store and they just walk away?? Are you kidding me?? Luckily I had three amazing friends with me who helped me pull and try on as many coats as possible to find one that would be a decent fit for the cold winter months ahead. This store would not give me a refund. Any other store would have given me a refund or purchased the coat I wanted in the bigger size. I couldn't believe the snarky comments coming out of the employees mouths. My friends were flabbergasted at the attitude the employees were spitting out at us. I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!! I rather go to a store like Holt Renfrew or Mendocino where they do what needs to be done to make the customer happy. Holt Renfrew will fix products that need mending and their customer service is way better. Mendocino would have ordered me the coat in the larger size in a heartbeat. This store was so nice to me when I spent over $1000 here but as soon as I wanted to make an exchange or get a refund they couldn't care less. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL!!! I will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I learnt my lesson about buying a big ticket item at a mom and pop shop. I will never make this mistake again. Truly a wonderful weekend with luxury lodging and shopping to experience. Our normal vacation would be skiing out West (U.S. - I'm an American), so this company-purpose visit was unusual for us. It's also very unusual for me to shop in a store where a coat runs $5,000, yet there I was. I was drawn to the store by a dress displayed in our hotel lobby, and spent far more time browsing the racks than I'd imagined, given the exclusive nature of the store. I was dressed semi-dressy - with white capris and a colorful tunic - so I wasn't in T-shirt and jeans. Had I been, I imagine my comfort level would have been lower however I don't believe the salesladies would have been any less helpful and inviting. I drew in an audible breath when I saw the $5,000 coat (actually $4,500 but when you throw in all the Canadian taxes it may as well be $5,000). I didn't gasp because of the price, but because of the beauty of the cashmere and artistic yet classic neckline. Had it not been 4 sizes too small for me I'm certain the saleslady would have helped me try it on. About 1/2 of the store was on sale - and there were significant discounts, although I can't quote a specific percentage as there were no signs shouting "40% off!!!" -- but I'd estimate that was close. Because of the welcoming atmosphere I was able to examine cuts and fabrics - and now know that Max Mara = quality classics that are fashionable.
