Worst experience ever! So I was very excited to be having both my nails and toes done for my big sisters wedding in Hawaii. I was greeted by an older woman ( I think the mother and grandmother of the other two that were there) who was kind of short with me but I didn't care, I figured she would make my nails look amazing. I was getting a basic french tip with diamonds. She put three of my nails on sloppy and had to cut them off and start over (ouch, but bearing through the pain... pain is beauty, right) Finally, an hour and 10 mins later she decides that I need to have my feet soaked to start my pedi while my nails finish (? - I am rather clueless as I hardly ever have my nails done) during my pedi she comes over and puts the clear coat over my nails and gives me a dryer to sit on my lap so my nails can dry while the other gal (again, I think this was her daughter. Much nicer and better at her job) I'm not sure how much time had passed but then they start talking mong and I am completely clueless as to what is being said. I know it had something to do with my nails, but what? She looked at my nails, looked at me, looked at my nails and said "ok, done" I noticed they had bubbles under the polish but when I asked she just said "oh, they good, huh" At this point I had been there for just under two hours, I was late to meet with my husband so I left. $80 later my pedi looked amazing with big Hawaiian looking flowers on them but my french tip mess, was just that. Two started lifting the next day, and by time the week had been over eight were lifting and I finally pulled them all off. read more

My daughter was given a gift card for Christmas from this business. They did a horrible job on her nails, cut her three times on three seperate fingers and the gel polish is chipping off already. They wouldn't take the gift card because it was a business card with $30 written on it. That's all that was given to her, she didn't have any other paperwork. Horrible service, we waited over 30 minutes. Customers who were in there had their children throwing the nail polish bottles on the ground! Save yourself time. The shop never has enough technicians. The owner has to call people in to work after you get there. The owner is rude. The nail lady I did like she lied and said she was returning in three months and she continued lying month after month. I'm assuming to keep me coming back. I requested a full set. I had just got done gardening so I had dirt under my nails. First she starts using tools from a "clean" bin. Cuts my nails and just throws it back in. Not clean at all. Then she just starts gluing the tips on. I asked if she could clean out the dirt. Which she was confused by. And then tells me she can't. She can't because she clued the tips to my skin. I told her to go ahead and just take the tips off and forget it. She semi took the tips off. Just filed them down and buffed them out. Love LOVE this place. The employees welcomed me in like they've known me for years. They are very kind and fast. The salon is clean and stunning. I've been to this nail salon only twice but each time I'm in and out within an hour and a half. My nails look absolutely beautiful and they last over a month. I took my little sister here to get her nails done for her birthday present and we were treated horribly. The two men who did our nails we very rude and didn't let us choose what we wanted. My sister asked if she could show him a picture of what she wanted and he said "No I know what i'm doing" and then proceeded to give her the complete wrong shape and style of nails she asked for. He told her she couldn't even look at her nails while he was doing them. She sat there uncomfortable the whole time with her head turned. He didn't care how it looked, as soon as I sat down he started applying the acrylics without cleaning up my cuticles. When I asked him to clean them up he told me that it costs extra. That is something you never have to even ask let alone pay extra for at any other nail salon. Horrible experience. This is the only place in town, currently, that I will go for a pedicure. Pricing is OK, typical compared to most strip-mall salons. I usually get the Deluxe Pedicure ($45). I haven't been let down so far. I typically go here with my mom for some bonding time. The staff is nice in general. Of course there are some of the women who are more willing to strike up a conversion than others, but it could also be due to their English. Now, now, now.. don't think I'm hating on them because they are Vietnamese, my in-laws are Chinese and understand a lot of English but are not comfortable with their English, even tho they are pretty fluent, for fear of screwing up. ANYWAYS. The girls who have done my nails are always nice & deal with my quirks (like being beyond ticklish) apparently I must make some odd faces when they use the pumice stone on my feet. Now unlike other places I have been the girls are not overly pushy when trying to up-sale you. Of course they want you to have the pricier mani-pedi but are not rude. My fellow yelpers, I have been a loyal customer at the VN Nails for the past 2 years. I literally just walked in today 5/19/2018 @ 12:17 pm. As I walked in the nail salon I seen that they were busy. I turned to ask my sister if we should leave because there was so many customers. Then, one lady yelled, "Can I help you?" I stated, "Yes, we would like two pedicures." Just then all the workers began to speak in their native language amongst each other. The same lady then said, "We're busy!" I turned once more to tell my sister that we should leave. As I turned I hear someone yell, "Come back in 45 minutes!" I looked to see who had said that and it was the owner. I answered, "Okay". Once more all the workers including the owner began to speak in their native language. As we proceeded to leave the owner yelled, "You coming back or what?" After all the attitude, and rushing me out of the salon I responded, "No, I don't think so." My fellow yelpers as a loyal customer I am disappointed, and angry that I was treated as if my business with them meant nothing. I am even more embarrassed that they literally yelled, and "kicked me out" in front of so many people. I would get my pedicures done there every month, and tipped a minimum of $10 for there work. As of today, my business with them is done. I hope the owner of VN Nails reads this. It does not matter how busy you are, you should treat every customer with kindness. This is seriously the worse place I have ever gone to have my nails done. I came in to have what was left of my acrylics removed, and leave with a gel manicure. Instead of using acetone to soak them, the manicurist tried to pry the acrylic off, then tried sanding them off until I had a thin layer of real nail left. It was too painful I had to ask her to stop. She then sloppily painted gel over the rest of my uneven acrylics. Wouldn't even clean up the gel all around and under my nails. Needless to say, half my gel peeled right off with two days. Day four and all of them were bare. To add on to everything else, the manicurists were rude!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Most painful, uncomfortable and unpleasant pedicure experience I've ever had. Here's why: -No tub with jets, just a kitchen sink in a square which was not comfortable to rest you're feet on-not relaxing! -They used a nail file to remove my previous GEL pedicure instead of using polish remover, basically scraping off the gel polish-so painful! -No attention to detail. They did not take the time to trim my cuticles and didn't even bother to cut my nails straight. They are jagged and uneven. -I paid for the deluxe pedicure and barely got a foot massage. Maybe 1 minute each foot. And the tiniest little scoop of hot wax in a produce bag from a grocery store. -I question how sanitary this place is. Everything looked very old and used. Now, one of my toe nails is itchy and the skin is peeling off. I've NEVER had this happen before!! I should have left right away, but my politeness overrode my better judgement. The pedicure was ok but the gel nails are horrible. My daughter and I both had to have our nails touched up over and over and over before we gave up and left. The gel is now so thick it's ugly. There were streaks, then bumps , then bare spots, then pooling of polish on the bottom edges and on top of it color on the fingers around the edges. I had to ask for clean tools and files.
