If you're thinking about coming here... DO IT!…read more First off, make reservations. The place was packed. Not an open seat when we arrived, and our reservation was at 8:15pm. We ordered drinks and a flatbread pizza. Everything was great. As for the musicians, they rotate every hour (if I remember correctly) with a total of 4 musicians. They are very talented and extremely interactive with the crowd. They do receive tips, and sometimes will have tipping wars on the songs they play. Shoutout to the Filipino musician (Pinoy Pride! ) in my picture. She was awesome, and took a couple of our requests. Even got us on stage... Honestly, they were all awesome though. But yeah, if you're thinking about it or reading this review... GO! MAKE A RESERVATION! You won't regret it!

It was about 10:15pm when we arrived, so the place was fairly empty, but it was still lively and a good atmosphere without being chaotic, which was exactly what we wanted. (All the people there were middle aged, like us.) Because of the time, they were no longer serving drinks, and we only caught about half an hour of the dueling pianos, which was a shame -- it was so much fun and I wish we had gotten there earlier. The songs they played were older songs, songs I actually recognized, such as Lean on Me by Bill Withers, Don't Stop Me Now by Queen, Santeria by Sublime, and Wonderwall by Oasis. Dueling pianos at Bayou Keys was so fun, and if I am ever in Nashville again, I will be sure to go! [Yelp collections: Nashville, TN 2026]

If you're looking for a meal that truly hits every note, this spot did not disappoint. The steak…read morewas cooked to absolute perfection--tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. The rack of lamb was equally impressive, cooked exactly as requested and full of rich flavor. The sides took it over the top! The creamy macaroni was indulgent and smooth, the mashed potatoes were buttery and well-seasoned, and the green beans with bacon added the perfect savory touch. Fried green tomatoes. The asparagus was fresh and cooked just right, adding a nice balance to the meal. And let's not forget the drinks--"1853" and "The Lira" were both exceptional and complemented the meal beautifully. Desert bread pudding. Overall, a delicious and satisfying dining experience from start to finish. Definitely worth every bite!

Kudos to my husband for finding this restaurant. Food is my hobby and The Standard was not even on my radar. It is somehow not talked about much in food circles. It should be! Valet is available for the restaurant. I recall it being around $20. We opted to valet since it was freezing the night we dined here. I can't imagine self parking options in the area would be less expensive. The restaurant is in a historical home. Such a surprise in downtown. It's an impressive 15,000 square feet with multiple floors. The first floor offers dining spread out over several of the rooms of the home. Two delicious cocktails were a great start to the meal. We chose different takes on old fashioned cocktails. The Lobster Dip was great. I enjoyed it and my husband flipped over it. It was served with a nice herb bread. The Standard Filet was tender and delicious. The potatoes hash cake didn't have an overwhelming truffle flavor. The flavors on the plate complemented the steak well. The steak was well prepared and not overly sauced. My husband really enjoyed the Bone-In Pork Chop. All of the flavors of this dish worked well together. The Chocolate Mousse was chocolate perfection. This was as delicious as my mom's chocolate mousse which is the highest compliment I can give. Make sure to order your own because you won't want to share this dessert. The Standard offers historical charm with fine dining quality food. What a fun spot for both locals and tourists.
