Working with Nick to prep my Kia Stinger GT2 AWD Scorpion Edition to be tuned at VL Performance. Had the BG Engine Plus Service and the BG Platinum Fuel/Air induction service done. I drive a GDI vehicle so it needs this type of service. Also this was my late wife's car and she did not change the oil consistently - so the Engine Plus Service essentially cleaned the engines internals. Definitely noticed the difference in the car's sound and performance. Service estimate was spot on and the service was done in a timely manner. What a joke! We took our Yukon into VL to have it looked at. We felt it was the transmission. They said it would be around $185-$200 to diagnose it. They ended up charging us over $450!!!! We didn't find out until we saw the statement. VL also said they would need a deposit of $2500 if we needed a transmission but after having the truck there for OVER a week they said they had NO INFORMATION regarding when, where, or how the transmission would arrive. Being frustrated and getting absolutely no updates on the estimated time I finally went down and drove it to Bergstrom. They had a new/manufactured GMC transmission installed in ONE day!!!! To make things worse I told VL I'd want my deposit back and the lady at the counter said, "Sorry, your deposit is non refundable!" I'm currently unemployed and dealing with health issues and have medical bills piling up and explained that I really need the money back. They laughed. Based on my experience of ridiculous charged me over $660 for a battery, oil change and diagnostic for my trunk and the problem of my car did not even get fixed. They replaced rear stabilizer bar/links on both sides this spring. Started getting a little shake in the car at 60+ mph. Took it to a VW dealer/service center and found out they installed the rear sway bar links the wrong way. I would not recommend them. I should have known when they asked for full payment up front. I had VL build a motor for me. It took them 10 months to put it together. Ran 10 gallons of fuel through it and the motor grenades itself. They claimed it was not their fault. I lost $8k and did not get a penny back. I will never let them touch anything else of mine. Beware they have no warranty. read more

after a few months of running a truck they tuned we had issues with gaskets and when we tore the engine down to fix stuff we found that all the spark plugs they installed were gapped different on each plug and all the them were not even hand tight. also every time we were quoted a price they came back and would increase the quoted price because they wanted to do other random work that wasn't asked for and didn't need to be done. worst shop in the fox valley read more

Complete liars. Purchased a car and dealt with the owner Coty directly asking him specific details about the car being that I was an out of state buyer. Paid for the car up front before they delivered it to me which was supposed to be in an enclosed trailer and was on a farm equipment hauling open trailer. They provided me pics before the payment was made to them in full and I asked if the paint was as good as it looked in the pics. They told me the paint was like "glass" however the car paint is no where like glass, in fact it is chipping and cracked in several places. I have made a complaint with the attorney general and DMV. I also let the owner Coty know that I didn't want to be a jerk on social media giving him the opportunity to correct this issue and make it right by taking the car back. read more

absolutely outrageous prices. i have a 01 Audi s4 that needs and clutch replacement and a transmission bracket replaced and they wanted to charge me $2,400 for 16 hours of labor.. it does not take anywhere near 16 hours to do that job. my original quote WITHOUT the clutch was $1600 all of a sudden i get the clutch and now it's $2400?? wrong answer. they are obviously trying to bend me over. never again will i ever go there for any service. if you have a euro car go to the euro shop on college ave, trust me read more
