If I could Give zero stars I would, nails are cute, wait was not great, salon was dirty, brow lady was extremely unprofessional and rude and left scabs on my eyelids from her heavy handed way of waxing, just terrible

I don't really like my nails this was 120!!!! I don't feel like it was worth it & on tip of that this isn't the nails I wanted

Well hunny the only reason why I gave them 1 star is because they took my & my sisters in . But once they seated me in everything was not ok , she didn't have all the colors I wanted & 2 the photo on the left isn't what I wanted . I just feel like overall this isn't top tier at all, now if your simple then may be the best option for you but if your like me that Like to get designs then I would prefer a different shop ‼

They never fail with my eyebrows

Tom at VL Nails Spa is the truth. I haven't found a nail salon that did my nails as I wanted them in years. He understood the assignment.

These nail salons are getting worse and worse in terms of customer service. I loved my nails when Mike did them for my graduation. A few weeks ago. He wasn't in today. So, I asked for a fill-in. I asked for someone who could do my nails so that they won't break off in a couple of days, (question from previous experience). One guy came over to look at my nails. He said oh that's easy to do. I informed him that I didn't want the same nails just a fill-in. He being to say that he is scared to do my nails. Huh? When I was in a few weeks ago, I hear another worker say this to a client and she was confused as well. This is unacceptable in our community. This salon, who services the majority of the African American community, is refusing service to people solely because they do not want to service people and acting if they are "scared!" I spoke with a couple of the patrons in the salon and it was said that this happens quite often. Why is this acceptable? I would be reaching out to the alderman regarding the lack of customer service this place presents to our community.

Their sign saying they accept visa MasterCard and discover.

Scammers. They have a sign on their wall that says they accept cards. I have them my card to pay to the woman he completed my feet. She then gives my card to another woman and has her come over and hand me my card saying pay with cash and we'll give you five dollars off. I pointed to the sign and they woman basically begged me to pay with cash saying their machine is broken. Then tale the sign down? They conveniently have an ATM in the shop which I'm sure they get paid from and that's why they wanted to use cash. Had I known, I would have gotten more money from my own back before arriving and not just tip money. A. Scam. Take your money elsewhere.

My nail broken the very next day. Didn't even get to enjoy looking at them

Nail tech made my nails so thin that the nail broke. The manager insisted that I should know how thin a nail can be without breaking, which i don't because I know nothing about doing nails. Got them done late Friday evening and by Saturday on my Anniversary one broke. I don't drink so it wasn't some accident. I don't even know how the nail broke. I was so upset. Getting my nails done again at my expense at the same nail shop right now but I'm extremely uncomfortable because the manager made it very clear no matter what his nail techs do once you pay n walk out the door it's on the customer even when I showed him the nail was much too thin. His reply was, "I should have known that before I walked out and if I didn't like it I shouldn't have paid for it." HOW WOULD I KNOW THE THICKNESS OF THE NAME THOUGH?

This is what he charged me $70 for! No design! Just an ombré! No oil on my hands! I literally got robbed.

I went in today for a pedicure, soak off, & full set. They weren't packed but moderately busy. My pedicure was decent. $42 for no chip. But my nails are a completely different story! I asked for something I deemed quite simple. But I saw this not going right. So I stated forget the designs, just do the ombré. The young man on the left side of the welcome desk (second seat), still charged me $70 for some horribly shaped, ombré nails. When I told him the sign says ombré $55 & up. You didn't do the and up so why is it $70??? He continued to try to explain, that the design is there and the shape is coffin. I'm super grown and I've been getting my nails done for many years... this rookie really thought his work was worth $70. I'll never return!!!! Never to another Asian establishment! I work too hard for my money for anyone to think this is ok.

The shop was packed but the service was so fast. My nails are flawless the man who did my nails was quick and amazing. I believe his name starts w/ a "P". It took them a while for them to sit me for my pedicure but it was also flawless.

Steven did a good job and quick. Thank you!!'

We cane in from out of town and went to my cousin's spot. Steven did mine quick and clean. They were funny and had a nice environment. Prices a little on higher side.

The picture looks so much better than the actual work. They are unprofessional and are over priced. I Wouldn't recommend this salon.

When I arrived there were 2 people ahead of me. I waited and then a third customer from out of nowhere sat down to have her browns done. I protested but was told she was seated in the other side of the salon. I let that go. Then 2 other people jumped the line. When it was finally my turn, I explained to the woman that I wanted a medium tint. She said "OK." she removed hair initially with tape. Then, she applied the wax. There had to be a few stubborn hairs which she began to remove with a blade. I told her I didn't want that type of removal; please reapply the wax. She complied. When it came to the tint, while I had requested a medium shade of dye, she applied a very dark shade and totally exaggerated my brows. I expressed my displeasure. When it was time to check out, I was told they ONLY ACCEPTED CASH for those services. I had none and was forced to use a use an out-of-network ATM for an extra service fe fee. I will not be going back to this salon.

Avoid this establishment. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage here, and the experience was bad…read morefrom beginning to end. To get to the massage room you're led down a corridor that has seen better days and overall the place feels run down. The massage room was okay, but it did not inspire confidence. There was no consultation on what I needed worked on before we started, and we began face up (every other massage I have ever had anywhere else always started face down). I then experienced a very uncomfortable 30 minutes before I had to end the session: firm pressure applied to bony areas like ankles, knees, and, most painfully, the front of my shins; improperly trimmed fingernails scratching my skin; massage of my belly (like, seriously?); weird attention to small areas like fingers and toes rather than large areas like my back or shoulders; and, finally, sharp fingernails digging into my neck--the therapist even said "Excuse me" as she knew that she had poked my skin with her nails when attempting to massage my neck. Unfortunately, this realization wasn't enough for the poking and scratching to stop. This was the worst massage experience I have ever had. I finally asked the therapist to stop, as there was no way she was going to be able to do anything about the fingernails. I explained the problems with massaging bony areas and the fingernails to both her and the manager of the facility and left. They claimed in an email to me that they had policies about appropriate nail length, but when I saw the long length of the manager's own nails I realized that these policies meant very little. She offered to give me a full massage at another time to demonstrate that the place could offer good service, but by that point my confidence in them was gone. They didn't ask me to pay the balance, but they also wouldn't return the deposit for the massage unless I signed a non-disparagement agreement, which, clearly, I refused to do, because you're reading this review. Obviously I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Easily the worst massage experience of my life: run-down facility, painful pressure applied to areas which shouldn't be massaged at all, scratched skin, and poor customer service. Avoid, and spend your money somewhere you won't be painfully massaged in areas no therapist is meant to apply pressure.
