One star off for using paper towels instead of regular towels to wipe my face off. I would go back if I need a no frills clean up! My face still felt baby soft the next day, so kudos for that. She goes above and beyond to make sure your facial needs is taken care of and she takes her time. during treatment we always have nice conversations about life which makes the extraction part more bearable so no awkward silence. before going to her i use to get little bumps on my forehead and i had stubborn acne on my cheeks which i never use to get but i guess it was from dirty makeup brushes. mary def helped me gain more confidence. i dont even wear face makeup on the weekdays anymore because she helped my skin that much. She knows her stuff! For my laser hair removal, im done with underarms and the results are great!! Little to no hair is left. Never will i have to sit in front of a mirror and strain my neck to pluck my hairs. Today i just started my brazilian, at first i was super nervous because my cousin scared me sayin it hurts. Lies! Yes it stung a bit more in certain areas but it was bearable. The indian nurse that does the laser is super cool always makes me feel comfortable. For my hairs their machine does wonders. Im going to do laser hair removal to my whole body because that is how in love i am. So thankful my friend referred me here for hair removal because it took me years to research and find a place i can commit to. Plus they always have group on and have packages which is a major plus. I refer everyone here!!!!!

Like so many other 1-star reviews, this one is about the call center. I was never able to schedule…read morean appointment, so I can't comment on the doctors or medical staff. I called four times trying to schedule a new-patient appointment. I missed two return calls from the Irvine office, even though I had originally called the Fountain Valley office. Apparently, it doesn't matter which First OC Dermatology location you call--you get the same call center. What is especially frustrating is that, every time I called, I had to start from scratch. Despite repeatedly explaining that I was a NEW patient and was RETURNING a call, I was asked for the same information: my first and last name, address, phone number, insurance provider, insurance member number, and medical group. Then I was told I wasn't in their system. Well, of course I wasn't--I was a NEW patient. After four calls and two missed return calls, I finally gave up. Scheduling did not return my additional calls, and the entire process was unnecessarily difficult and frustrating. This is not how a prospective patient should be treated when simply trying to make an appointment. I reported the problem to my referring doctor, who was able to provide a referral to another dermatology practice. Within 48 hours, I had the new referral and successfully scheduled an appointment on my first call. I can't speak to the quality of First OC Dermatology's doctors or medical staff because I never got that far. But based solely on my experience with their scheduling process and call center, I would not recommend them. If getting an appointment is this difficult, I have no interest in finding out how difficult it might be to get anything else done.
