Dr Eidem tore my colon during a routine colonoscopy. I ended up in the hospital for 10 days with…read morenothing by mouth, and IV antibiotics. I was told by Dr Eidem that I had 4-5 polyps he had to remove. Three years later I got up the courage to have another colonoscopy as requested by my new doctor. My new doctor informed me after the colonoscopy was over that he found no evidence of polyps ever in my colon. I thought I was going to die after my colonoscopy with Dr Eidem. It took over a year to recover. Please, if you value your health, do not use Dr Eidem. This app made me give him a star, otherwise I wouldn't have.

When I found Dr Eidem on Yelp, I felt really good about making the appointment, as he has awesome…read morereviews from his patients... I had to make my first appointment with his physician's assistant as he is so popular, he's booked for months. So I saw his PA and she was great! She had already read my history and all about what was going on with me! It was so nice seeing someone that was on top of my medical concerns. She said I needed more tests and that Dr Eidem would be the one to perform any additional tests/scopes. So I scheduled an Endoscopy for the following Friday. When I arrived at the clinic everyone was very sweet. When I finally got to meet Dr. Eidem, he was very knowledgeable and explained everything in detail about what he was going to do and how he was going to take care if it. He allowed me to ask questions and I didn't feel rushed at all, he's very patient and caring. When he performed the scope he was very thorough and took samples of anything he thought MAY be a problem, but thought everything was great. He's just that thorough that he sends in samples to be sure everything really is ok. So Dr Eidem is great! If you need a Gastroenterologist in the Plano area, he is your man!

**My username is an alias, for privacy reasons. I'm a legitimate patient**…read more Dr. Alvarez or her practice or both are either incompetent, insane, or badly run. I was recommended to Dr. Alvarez by a friend who is a patient of hers. My PCP sent over the referral. I was not allowed to make an appointment with Dr. Alvarez when I called them. First, I was told there had to be a "transfer of care" because I previously saw a doctor in their group (GI Alliance) two years ago. They said that the transfer was pending, a mere formality, and that I should hear back later that day. No one ever called me back so today, I drove over to their office. I spoke with the Office Manager, who flat out said Dr. Alvarez had looked over my chart and is refusing to see me. NO REASON WAS GIVEN. Huh?? That is a first for me. I've never been denied to see a doctor for non-insurance reasons. My PCP's office then called over to them and was again told about the "transfer of care". That's not what the Office Manager had stressed to me. Seems no one has any clue what's going on here and I still have no real idea why Dr. Alvarez is refusing to see me. I urge anyone wanting a referral for her to exercise caution...and consider looking elsewhere. Clearly, there is a lack of transparency here and no real evidence of a doctor who really cares...certainly not about future patients or their health.

Becoming a doctor granted me the art of being able to connect with people while treating their disease and/or ailments. In conclusion, patient's concerns and preferences are always a priority in my mind on forming treatment plans and I feel this is an important part to maintaining the patient-to- physician relationship and key to treating disease.
