I live in the Bay Area and let me tell you that Crusier Bikes are difficult to find, 7 speeds are non existent. I looked online and found Vivelo, then I did some investigating and found positive stuff. I ordered two (his and hers) over the phone from Jonathan (who was great). We were going out of town and Jonathan arranged shipping so that the bikes arrived when we were back home. Vivelo was flawless on their end, sadly the shipping company's info did not match the actual status and was a fiasco. At that point I spoke with Cecilia at Vivelo and she was also great. She did everything she could to provide the proper support. When the bikes arrived I had some questions and Cecilia and Jonathan, sent videos and actually called, walked me through and helped me work it all out. Beautiful bikes and great support. Clearly I made the right choice and hope you consider them if you're looking for a new bike! read more

This place is great however, I did order all the seat covers in the little bag that goes underneath the carriage where you put your little changer phone, and the basket with the little basket liner, and I did not receive them in the mail and I was supposed to my name is Jane Bunch I've called several times and I took talk to some girl. I think her name was Nicole and she said she was gonna mail them to me and I never got them. My name again is Jane Bunch and I bought it at Viva below in Miami in Wynwood and it was during The Covid epidemic. Therefore, when they dropped it off, they did not have all the pieces cause they were running behind because of the virus anyway I'm still waiting for the package with my complete set to my beautiful Donatello Velo bike and I did not get my basket cover seat cover, or the little thing that goes in Underneath the bar where the girl sits a little pet thing where you can put your phone and what not so if you could kindly send it to me, I would appreciate it. My phone number is 954-993-0037 and again my name is Jane read more

I ordered a bicycle online for my wife's birthday and it arrived in multiple damaged cardboard boxes. The parts of the bicycle were protruding from the box and were visibly damaged, so I refused delivery. I have tried to contact Vivelo via email and phone and nobody will answer the calls or emails. It has been almost two months, they have my $1,200 and have essentially disappeared. DO NOT ORDER from this bike shop!!!!! read more

UPDATE: After writing this review, I received communication from Vivelo regarding my order. They immediately located the inventory and had it shipped to me as overnight delivery. Bonus - they sent a few additional accessories as an apology. That is extreme and courteous customer service and I am one happy lady! Can't wait to put all the accessories on my bike and take a spin! THANK YOU to the Vivelo team! Original review: I was in the market for a new bike and did so much research, finding Vivelo Bikes in Florida. I placed an order for a bike, and three additional accessories on May 8. As of today, and multiple communications sent, I have not received the accessories. The bike is amazing - and I've enjoyed having it. However I would greatly appreciate receiving the rest of my order. read more

I am terribly disappointed once again although I thought they originally tried to solve all the problems I had with this order from the very beginning the things it was missing the things that went wrong including a chain breaking within a few days of riding a flat tire a pedal missing sending a used bike first before they sent me another one and it goes on and on and then they said they would refund me for some repairs made within the first couple rides they refunded me one time and never sent the other ones even though they insisted after me calling three times that they had. No follow up on that. They said they would send me a basket they've never sent me a basket I'm so disappointed I don't even know why am giving them two stars maybe because the bike does ride well I thought the Customer Service was Good but now I'm beginning to think it's only good for a minute not in the long run. read more

Vivelo has been a tremendous disappointment. Bike manufacturing and delivery took twice as long as "guaranteed" and worst of all the $1500 bike arrives unassembled and with defective parts. Truly horrible customer service. Was looking to buy more than one but glad to have only started with one because I would never buy from them again and very strongly recommend looking elsewhere. read more

Back in June, I had ordered a bike through REI and it wasn't going to be ready until mid August. My husband found Vivelo and so I cancelled my order with REI and I ordered a bike (not a custom bike, but one of the models that they show as available) from Vivelo on June 22nd. The Vivelo website explained that their bikes would take 16-21 business days to ship (which was perfect - I'd have a bike to ride for the rest of the summer instead of having to wait until the middle of August.) The 21 days come and go - I haven't heard anything further on the bike that I ordered so I called Vivelo and was told that there was a delay in parts that they had ordered from Europe (due to COVID, which I was sympathetic about) and they offered to upgrade the bike from a 3 speed to a 7 speed. I thought that was generous and told them that would be great and that I appreciated the offer. Several weeks go by and I still hadn't heard anything from Vivelo. So I called again. I was told that the bike was in production and it would ship out the following week. That week goes by. No word from Vivelo. I called them AGAIN. I was told that it was still in production, that they had issues with parts, and it would ship the following week or the week after 'at the latest'. Those 2 weeks go by and that brings us to today. I sent them an email asking about the status of my bike and they told me that it was shipping today (HOORAY) and they sent a picture of the bike. The picture shows a 3 speed bicycle. So I wrote them back and told them that I wasn't happy with the situation at all and to just cancel the order. They responded and told me that it WAS a 7 speed and sent a tracking number. I was relieved and really excited to finally be able to have a bike for the remainder of the summer. An hour or so later, I get an apology email - "The gears were already installed in the bicycle and the information didn't arrive in time to the factory." The thing is - they offered to upgrade it to a 7 speed three WEEKS AGO so they had PLENTY of time to get that information to the factory - they just didn't. I understand the impact COVID has had on small businesses. I was more than willing to be patient because I really wanted this bike. My issue with Vivelo is that their level of communication is abysmal. As someone who also owns a business, I would have been upfront and honest about the situation and would have communicated all of the issues the customer without them having to REPEATEDLY call to find out what was going on. The 'excuse' that they gave me today about the gear mistake was it. I have since asked for them to not send the bike and just issue a refund. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a bike to avoid this shop. I should have just kept my order with REI in the first place. I would have already had a bike by now. read more

Viva el Vivelo! When was the last time you found yourself completely overtaken by joy and happiness? It happens to me every time I'm on my custom bike. In the midst of our modern pandemic life, it's so nice to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding a bicycle. It's a great way to decompress and get some exercise to offset quarantine stress. You know the difference between riding a junker and a modern luxury flagship, right? Well, then you can imagine how satisfying it feels to ride a custom Vivelo. Every finishing detail is customizable, handmade and gorgeous. I ordered my bike on line and was waiting with anticipation for it to arrive. The customer service team was very good with their communication and even though I had to wait a bit more than expected, (Covid shipping delays) the extra days were well worth the wait. This is my favorite bicycle of all time. Design your ride and go enjoy your surroundings in comfort and style. I got mine a month ago and I'm loving it. read more

I have been looking for a beach cruiser to replace my single speed Cape Cod Newbury Cruiser, which I absolutely love!!! My current cruiser has a lot of really cute and unique details that made it difficult to make the decision to let it go. But I have recently moved into a new neighborhood which has a lot of hills and it makes it hard to ride my lovely cruiser since it is quite heavy :( I started my research on Instagram. and I came across Vivelo. They make color customized beach cruisers!!! You get the option of picking between 4 different body frames and the accessories you want on the model of your choosing. The cruiser I picked is The Dorna and it is made out of Aluminum, which will automatically be lighter than my current cruiser. According to the website, The Dorna is perfect for my height and weight because the central bars on the frame sit lower. I had the option of picking a 3- speed or 7-speed (of course, I picked the 7-speed). I designed 12 different cruisers on their website ( I COULDNT HELP IT, ALL THE COLORS THEY USE ARE SO PRETTY AND RICH) until I finally decided on the perfect color scheme. They use higher-end paint and finish which I am excited about. I asked some questions on their Instagram page and got a response within minutes. So far my communication with Vivelo has been outstanding and better than I could have ever imagined. Their customer service representative was so polite and friendly. I feel confident in placing my order. I FINALLY placed my order this morning. I will update my review when I receive the cruiser. CAN'T WAIT :) read more

The bikes this company is building are top notch in quality, fit and finish and overall craftsmanship. I've owned many cruisers in my life and the Rider X that I bought is far and away the best of any I've ridden. I love this bike. If your ordering a bike to be delivered, be aware it's going to take time and be patient. My understanding is that this is a small company and there supply line of parts has been impacted by COVID like a lot of businesses have experienced. I had to wait 36 business days from order to delivery, but in the end Vivelo provided me a superb product. read more
