The service is amazing. They are so nice, and when our little one was having a rough time the waitress came over and tried playing with him and helping out. Every time a server would pass by they'd stop and smile at him and you could tell he was the most popular guy in the shop. The -1 star is just for the ambiance, which is fine but nothing spectacular. I will say that this time, the fajitas weren't sizzling when they arrived at the table. They were warm but not hot, which was a little surprising (and yes, I know the water-on-the-skillet trick). Thankfully, this didn't take away from how tasty the dish was. The service was great as always, and the atmosphere feels like home every time we go. After years of driving out of my way from North Augusta to eat here the staff crossed a serious red line. When I asked for a side of sour cream the waiter brought mayonnaise. He waited until I ate half of my food before walking over, snickering, and asking "did something taste different?" To which I replied "yes, I did notice it tasted off. I was wondering if I was coming down with something." Still snickering he said "it's mayonnaise" before walking away, still laughing. I noticed him snickering with a group of other workers. In my time going here, I have never complained to management and I have never tipped less than 20%, even for poor service. I have no idea what I did to anyone to deserve this. I am not rude, I am not loud. They were not busy, they were not understaffed. It was slow. I paid my check without complaint, still tipped, and left. I will never go back. Ever. And I will warn anyone I can to never go here. This was not just unethical, it was malicious. I have allergies and cannot eat certain foods. You don't serve shellfish, nuts, eggs to a customer who did not order it. This could have ended very badly. You don't mess with a customers food. What Salsa's has proven is that they employ unethical, viscous people who cannot be trusted to handle food responsibly. I was not offered an apology from anyone. It was obvious it was not a mistake. In short, do not go to Salsa's they may tamper with your food.
