Good food at a great price. I recently tried their steak burrito bowl for dinner. There was no waiting line, and the food was served very quickly. The restaurant has plenty of seating, making it comfortable to dine in. Portion sizes were generous, easily enough for two average people and the meal came with nachos and dressing as well. This place is crack! The grilled chicken was great and had the charred grilled flavorYUM. The veggies used on my nachos were fresh, the sour cream was nice. The chips were thin and salted like I love them but the best was the flavor of the queso. I'd imagine with a chain that consistency may vary due to who is prepping the food and if their standards meet the requirements of the restaurant as a whole. Luckily for me I ordered from the best one with DoorDash and got my food in no time. So sorry I have no pictures. I scarfed it down it was really that good. For whatever it's worth I hope that the owners take mind to the reviews that drop you under five stars and fix the issues at all of your restaurants because you have a great product. Interior was reasonably clean, but some tables and the drink station could've used some attention. Other than that, no complaints! This place is similar to Chipotle and Moes for how they do their process. I don't think I'll go anywhere else after I've tried Diablo's. I had a taco salad with the shell with pulled pork and the edible shell. Their chips come free. Their queso is actually incredible. It needs more hype! There aren't too many places in the area that have good queso. So I'm very happy to have found this place that has great queso. I really really enjoyed this experience. They're food is so flavorful and reasonable. The salsas are life changing. And the southwest vinaigrette they have is unlike anything I've ever had. I will be back often. The wife and I love Diablo's. We always get their salads, no shell, no rice or beans, no chips. We do keto and this place is great for a different experience every time. A good place to grab a quick, affordable and tasty meal. We were in Augusta visiting my sister-in-law at Doctor's Hospital when we decided to get lunch. I yelped up Diablo's on Wheeler Rd. as it very close to the hospital and invited my brother-in-law and nephew to join us. It was our first experience at this fast food style Mexican restaurant. Our nephew had been there before and educated us on the salsa bar, and how the ordering line worked. I went with the three taco deal ordering two steak and one pork on flour tortillas. I had loads of options and added, guacamole, cheese, chunky tomatoes , jalapeños, and cilantro. Jo (my wife) opted for a pork burrito and loaded it with rice, black beans, cheese, guacamole and corn. There is a large selection of toppings that you can add to your selection and your selection comes with chips. My nephew likes their Queso so he put in an order which came with extra chips. The food was freshly prepared and I picked out a couple of salsas from the bar to add some additional heat and flavor. It's self serve on the drinks which is a plus and minus as you can refill when ever you want, but have to get it yourself. The food was tasty and had a good bit of flavor, with my wife especially enjoying hers. That being said it is still a chain, but a good value as our meal was less than $10 with the beverage and quite filling. Food 3.5-4 Better than most Mexican chain restaurants, but don't expect homemade tortillas Service 3 It's strictly counter ordering and serve yourself drinks. Atmosphere 3.5 Quick ordering and a good number of tables with some being outside as well. Price 4 A good value for fresh and numerous toppings. It's typical Tex-Mex. The menu is small. You just go down the line adding your ingredients. My favorite is the taco salad. The establishment is clean. Employees are courteous. Service is quick. The only issue I have and it's not their fault but I don't know how they're going to rectify the traffic situation in this little plaza. Zaxby's is the new restaurant to the plaza and getting out onto Wheeler Rd. traffic is a headache. It's definitely the area to avoid at lunch and end of the day when the traffic is really high. Diablo's reminded me a lot about Chipotle Mexican Grill. So with that in mind, I believe I had very high hopes for eating here. I was met with disappointment when I sat down and started eating my meal. The process of getting the food and paying was easy. You go through the line, pick what you want- burrito, bowl, tacos, nachos- fill it with your ingredients and then pay. They do military discount, so don't forget to ask if you find yourself here! It smelled amazing inside the restaurant, so it just added to my disappointment even more because the flavor was not as good as the aroma it was giving off. The tortilla chips tasted very stale and the salsas for the chips were all completely overpowered with onion and none of them were spicy, they all tasted the exact same but were supposed to be different. I got a chicken burrito, my husband got a pulled pork bowl and we got our son a taco. The chicken inside my burrito didn't have bad flavor and was seasoned fairly well but everything else inside seemed to be bland and flavorless. My husbands bowl had a little more flavor but still disappointing. The only thing I can give them props on food wise is that most of it did taste fresh. The only things I can give them credit for is other then the food is cleanliness in the restaurant and those charging stations at the booths! One of our favorite places to eat! The ingredients are also fresh...some of the best guacamole ever!! They have a spicy guac that I love too (when I feel like kicking it up a notch!) The portions are huge though...so you will be very full; I usually can not eat it all. If I want a quesadilla I get a kids meal because the portion is usually enough. I don't have a particular recommendation for food to try because everything is so good...just choose one! The seating includes comfortable booths (comfortably seats 4 adults), tables (4 chairs each), bar height seating, and patio seating. I like that they have complimentary charging stations (at their booths only) for phones, tablets, etc. Wheeler Rd location is our favorite (although we are looking forward to the opening of the Grovetown location). The food was actually pretty tasty, which makes what happened even more unfortunate. I was nearing the end of my bowl and bit down on something very hard. Pulled it out of my mouth and it was a pea-sized piece of bone. Now one piece I could possibly let slide, but I found FIVE more pieces of bone. The staff were very friendly to me. I initially went here as a recommendation from a friend for a must eat place. I will say the food was absolutely delicious. The flavor was amazing and the amount of food I got versus what I paid was very fair in my opinion. I couldn't finish it all there in the store and had to take left overs home with me, which made a lovely snack later. I love Diablos. Definitely a competitor with Chipotle who I equally love. I like the fact that they have white rice as an option and lots of meat options. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. Nothing annoys me more than coming into a place and having me a bunch of kids talking amongst themselves, ignoring the customer. You won't get any of that here. Charging stations are an awesome feature! I do with the would update their outside eating area though. The seats are a big uncomfortable. I'm the queen of food to-go and that's exactly what I was doing when I visited. This was my first visit to Diablo's Southwest Grill. I'm a fan. The menu is really simple. The restaurant is very clean. You order your food on an assembly line with your choice of tacos, quesadilla's etc. You add all the ingredients you want and they charge you for anything you want on the side. Very reminiscent of Moe's, Chipotle or other TexMex places. I ordered the Chicken Quesadilla and I enjoyed it. The Quesadilla was large and I had a full piece left over for later. They are located in a plaza that is kind of hard to get to and harder to get out of. Just my opinion. The staff was nice. They have an outdoor eating area for the warm weather days. I'm a big fan of outdoor seating. If you dine-in the restaurant is a good size to enjoy a meal in a booth, at a table or at a bar. The other cute thing is that they have a horse/saddle shaped seat that kids and others may like. I'd go back. This is a great place to get food to-go. They don't serve alcohol, but they have bottled beer coming soon, which will probably get more folks in. However, it you want Tequila or any other alcoholic beverage, they are conveniently located right next to a liquor store. read more

I frequent Diablo's often enough, and I've also been to the other location closer to GRU. If you're looking for something in the area that's comparable to Chipotle, then this is your best bet (although I personally think that this is better). I find myself always getting a bowl with the tortilla on the side (something I started doing at Chipotle many, many years ago), and as many chips as they'll give me. I think the staff at this particular location is very friendly and nice, and they always have enough food (never out of anything). My only complaints really are that since they get so busy (at lunchtime in particular), you may be hard pressed to find a clean table; but as long as you get there before the lunch rush or later in the day, you'll be fine. :) read more

I use Yelp when we're out of a town quite a lot, and once again I wasn't disappointed! You guys led me straight. This place is awesome! I have missed my Freebirds in Houston and while they still top the cake in this food category, Diablo's managed to make me feel (almost) right back home. When you walk in, you're greeted on the wall with a bull busting through the concrete. Nice. And at the counter you're greeted by several smiling faces. We had 20 minutes before they closed and they weren't in the least showing it. They still had chicken going on the grill and slicing it up! They asked if we were having it for here or to-go and we mentioned we knew they were about to close and they told us to not even worry about that and to enjoy our meal. Thank you for that! You can choose from a variety of proteins to add to your burrito, nachos, quesdailla, taco (basket of three), or chili. Only one option for a tortilla (sad face) and then you proceed down a Subway-type line to choose your fillings/toppings. White rice, yellow rice, black beans, pinto beans, grilled peppers, three different types of salsas, pickled or diced jalapenos, among your other basics like lettuce and tomato. Whatever you choose comes with chips and they-are-absolutely-AWESOME! BEST TORTILLA CHIPS EVER! I seriously have no idea how they do it, but they're perfectly salted and crispy. Coke products, including cherry coke! A salsa bar with three choices. A complimentary phone charging station. And the best seat in the restaurant? A saddle, no joke. Channel 26 was making a commercial while we were there, and all the plates in the commercial were full, unlike our plates. The interior was very nice. I was just hoping for more from the food -_- New review 4/5: If I want a burrito, I got to diablos. I decided to give it a try due to the good reviews it was getting.
