My friend celebrated her birthday here and reserved a table for 10. When the night came, only 9 of us showed up. We all arrived within the reservation window, just at slightly different times. When she checked in, she let the host know a few people were parking and walking in. His response? A snare and, "Hmm it's late... very late." Mind you, when she made the reservation she told them she'd arrive around 9:30. Fast forward. Once everyone arrived, he tells her, "You were supposed to be here for 9 and weren't, so I gave your table away." This is after she paid $100 to reserve it. Then he says, "I'll do you a favor and make a table for you." Sir... a favor? After taking her reservation fee? This was my first time coming to this new location. In the past, I used to go to the other location with the upstairs and I'm happy to say that the restaurant has not fallen off after all those years. I'm so thankful that they survived the pandemic. I came here on a Sunday at 2:30 PM with my sister-in-law for brunch and we had an awesome time. We wanted to ride the boat, but it wasn't available until after 5 PM which was a bit of a disappointment, but definitely not a dealbreaker. We both ordered the same dish for brunch and I substituted my pork sausages for chicken since I don't eat pork. All of the food was flavorful and juicy. For appetizers as we got the guacamole and calamari which we're both amazing. The sangria that came along with the brunch was very tasty And all in all everything was a 10 out of 10, including the service. Located in Williamsburg, Viva Toro may be a little hard to get to but it's a good time. We went for brunch with the intention that there would be bull riding and vibes. There wasn't any bull riding but there was entertainment in the form of dancers in costumes. One thing to note is that they will scan the ID of each person who walks in. A few people from group were late and they allowed us to wait by the bar, this way we would could all start our 90 minute brunch experience together. The server came by to take our order once we were seated. You get a choice of one entree and one appetizer and mimosas or sangria. I chose the empanadas and steak with eggs and potatoes and had the sangria as my drink. The empanadas were a mixture of cheese and chicken. I liked the cheese the best, the chicken was not the best. The entree was just okay and the drinks were not strong. I think if I'd come back I would come for the vibes. Drinks and hookah would be what I'd come for and of course the music. I tried to let it go, but then he got into a whole conversation with My Niece about it so he's looking out from my best interest My boyfriend is still ordering drinks for him for himself and tipping this guy we spent over $900 at this place and and although my initial experience was amazing and I had so much fun and I 100% was already planning my next visit there Jesus definitely soured my opinion about the place and I will never go again. We came here 3 times to ride the elusive bull. The first time we called and were told that he was there. When we got there, he was gone. We weren't told that he leaves when brunch is done to make room for when the place changes into a club. We ate and saw a big head bad bunny impersonator and a dancer. We came back the next Sunday since we were told he is available during Sunday brunch. However, he was not. He is only available on certain Sundays during the month. We ate again and they had a dancer and a lady making balloon animals for kids. We asked again when and what time the bull would be available. We were told Sunday March 21 between 2 to 5PM. We came back this third time and he was there. The cost is 5$ for 2 rides. You have to sign a waver and be over 18. It was worth it since it was fun, especially after having the unlimited sangria during brunch. They do not post on the website or social media when the bull is available. Your best bet is to call and ask. The pictures represent the couple of times we came here. The food was ok, we came 3 times and we tried different things. I liked their calamari and the Churrasco Steak. My son liked his burger and fries. My friend had the chicken and waffles which she felt was dry. Also, she had the huevos rancheros which she didn't like. She did like the guacamole. Servers were great they kept refilling our sangria throughout.
