I had a very unfortunate experience with this business. So I have been on the hunt for three…read morespecific tequila's for a few months now. I decided to just look online and see if I could get them delivered. I found this business Drizly website. They had a pretty nice selection of both tequila and bourbon so I decided to place an order and have it delivered to my house. My order was close to $700, seeing that I had some people I would have like to give a bottle to for Christmas. The first issue arose when someone from the store texted me the morning my order was to be delivered stating, they didn't have two of the 3 main bottles of tequila that I was looking for. However, I was like it happens they can substitute one and refuse me for the other one. Then they message me saying that they actually able to find one last bottle of Komos Anejo Cristalino, which is an $150 bottle of tequila by it self; keep in mind. So I'm like ok great and went back to work. Then they text me asking if I wanted to leave a tip on my card for the delivery driver or if I will be giving them a cash tip when they arrive. Which honestly was kind of off putting when I read it on my watch. But with my being at work in my head im like, whatever I'll give the driver something as a tip when they arrives. About two hours later I received a email from Drizly saying my entire order has been canceled because the store is unable to deliver to my address. So I text the person that message me earlier in the day and asked them if the email was current. Their response was basically that since I didn't state to them that I was going to give the delivery driver a tip, they canceled my entire order. They told me: "High dollar orders with no tip, and then when you didn't respond - those are red flags for us because we get defrauded occasionally." Seeing that is was the only please I was able to find the bottles that I wanted at the time. I was like whatever, I looked up Corkscrew Johnny's and saw it was about 15mins away. So I told my fiancé what happened and he decided to take me to pick up the bottles that I wanted after our doctors appointment. I finally get all the bottles that I wanted and the guy at the store boxed them up for me. Then as I'm taking the bottle of Komos Anejo Cristalino (a $150 bottle) from the box when I got home, I noticed the tap seal for the bottle was completely broken on both sides of the tap. It's one thing if the plastic was seal was partially broken or something. But the tap seal doesn't just rip, it has to be twisted and pulled at the same time with a little force to get it off. So now I have this bottle "tequila" that is honestly just a pretty bottle at this point. Because I'm not drinking from a bottle when the seal was broken. I don't know those people and I don't know if the tequila that's in there is the tequila that's supposed to be in there at this point. I do know that I'm not drinking it now. So that's $150 down the drain and a complaint with the BBB. This experience was very unfortunate especially seeing that I have a wedding coming up and I have two friends that have weddings coming up this summer of 2024. We are all looking for a company to order our liquor through for the weddings and other events leading up to the weddings. But clearly as they stated in their text message to me, they have an issues with large ticket orders anyway. so Won't be going with them.

The huge…read morebenefit for me is that they're a 5-minute walk from my apartment, so when I need some alcohol in a pinch, they're my go-to place. You're not likely to find any specialty items here. On my quest for Woodchuck Pumpkin and Woodchuck Fall, they turned up empty. In fact, the only Woodchuck they do carry is Amber and Raspberry (side note: why is it impossible to fund Woodchuck Pear around here?!). I can get my go-ton wine (Sutter Home Moscato) for $5, so I really can't complain. Their beer selection definitely focuses on big-scale domestics, but they have a fair smattering of smaller breweries represented. I've never purchased liquor here, but the selection seems to cover all of the bases. One thing I do like about this place is the staff. They're always very friendly and helpful. On my quest for Woodchuck Fall, one of the workers said he'd make a special order for me and call when it arrives. I'll be sure to let you know if that actually happens. I'm hopeful. (EDIT: I never received a call, and when I stopped in, they told me that their distributor is completely out of the Fall variety. However, they were nice enough to open their Woodchuck variety packs to see if any contained the Fall cider and they did! YAY!) If you find yourself on this side of Kent, it's not a bad choice, but you'll find a much better selection at 101 Bottles down the street.
