Mangiare!!!
I've been to some other Italian style restaurants in the city, nothing out of the ordinary, you will always find the same type of dishes here and there, pasta and pizza... but once I had the chance to eat at Vittorio's I did not want to visit any other Italian restaurant, BEST ITALIAN FOOD RESTAURANT IN THE CITY, PERIOD!. Here is my honest review:
Service: Service is very good, courteous and friendly waiters will be glad to take your order, and if requested, they will give you some recommendations in case you cannot make your mind. Food usually takes a while to be prepared and served since place is always packed, but the wait will never take forever. If present, owners will gladly greet you and from time to time will check with you if everything is ok with the food/service without being annoying/invasive. (I really appreciate that).
Food: Second to none! No matter what you order, everything is just great!!! For starters they have a wide variety of meals, not only pasta and pizza, you will find there Italian style seafood and what not! Ask for the clam cream/soup, so damn delicious! (only served on Fridays by the way)
Portions are quite generous, I usually leave the place with the leftovers to-go since they always remain delicious if reheated. Drinks are pretty good as well, especially the sangria, you can order a cup, a vase or a pitcher since one sip will be not enough.
Prices: Prices are neither that high nor overpriced. Food quality surpasses wat you paid for it.
Place: Restaurant is located almost right in the downtown, the only downside is that parking lot has only very few spaces, so you have to drive your way around the block to find some place to park your car, keep in mind that this section of the city has park meters so consider to carry some coins with you, there is a private parking lot right around the corner but they will rip you off with their fares (specially at night), so stay away from them. The inside of the place is very cozy with some unintended nice looking ornaments and dim light, the place is not that big, so maybe they have around 20 tables. All in all this place is really good if you want to meet with your friends and family, but is PERFECT for a romantic date!
Due the fame of the place and taste of the food, you will find this restaurant always packed, specially at nights, so keep in mind that you will have to wait a while outside before a table is given to you. OK, this hint is on me but keep it a secret: you can call in advance and make a reservation! You will only need to arrive 20 minutes before so they can save a table for you, just do not forget to announce yourself. I remember that one time my wife and I arrived there and some young couple had been there like 20 minutes before waiting for a table as well, since I made the reservation in advance, the next free table was assigned to me immediately, we finished our meals along with a really nice conversation, and when we left the place, the young couple was still waiting for their table...

Yep, I would and will recommend it to all the people I know, there is no doubt you will be blown away there, so make yourself a favor, call your significant other/best friends and go there, turn off your damn cell phone (or leave it at home), have a nice and long conversation and treat yourself in this over the top place.
Bon appétit! read more
