The San Ysidro Zappy Pizza is located in the heart of San Ysidro behind a Chase Bank and adjacent to a super market. It is a walk up, order, and carry out restaurant. There isn't a seating area to enjoy their delicious pies. I recommend calling in advance and then picking up your pizzas. I called at 3:30pm, informed the kind gentlemen that I was picking up my two pizzas at 5pm, and they were ready for pick up even though I was 10 minutes late. As you enter the restaurant, Zappy's has a large menu board that sells not only pizzas, but also chicken wings and breadsticks. Sorry Little Ceasar's, Zappy's got you beat for value for your money. I don't know about everyone else, but when I buy a $5 Little Ceasar's Pizza, it tastes like a $5 pizza. If you don't finish Little Ceasar's the day you order it, forget about it. Zappy's is not Little Ceasar's. The price is the same, but the Zappy's quality is so much better. Zappy's is fresher, the pizza is more hearty, and to me, it's a tastier pizza. The $5 pricing is only for 1-topping pizzas. They also sell specialty pizzas, but at a higher price. Absolutely terrible customer service over the phone. They just pretended to not hear me. I know perfectly well that they could hear me because I have wifi calling on when I call, with high speed internet. So there ade no issues there for sure. I had called and someone who doesn't speak English answered (which is fine) and he then transferred me to someone who did speak English. However they didn't explain anything. They just rudely transfered me over. Then the lady who picked up the phone pretended to not hear me. Then hung up on me, twice. It's a shame especially since I've been coming to this location probably once a week ever since they opened. I wish they could just do their job right and not be so rude to me over the phone. I hadn't been to this place in a while but just last week I called in an order, while speaking to the employee over the phone you could barely understand what she was saying. I asked her for the price on one item & she let out an annoyed SIGH loud enough for the entire room to hear(on speaker). We drive there 10 min later & when my bf tells her the order (since she didn't even turn to look at me right next to him) she tells him that she never placed the order so we had to wait longer for them to make it. She also tried to GRAB HIS MONEY OUT OF HIS HANDS before he tried to give her the right amount. It's a shame that a good place like this have a few dumb people working there. I've been going to zappy since it open a few years back, and I've never had a bad thing to say about them until today. I guess the guy that took my order forgot to add the bacon to the pizza, then they raise there prices and don't even change the menu board to let customers know about it. All they did was put a piece of paper with the price changes by were they keep the bread sticks. Then the fat short girl with glasses was telling me that they don't need any customers like me and she started to threaten me that she was going to take back the pizza, all because they forgot to add the topping and don't show the right prices. Later she decided not to make me a new pizza, but to just cook the bacon alone and added to my now cold pizza. And to my surprise what do you know, the bacon was burned when she put it on the cold pizza, by the way I also had order some wings that now are also cold.
