(4/12/2014) We stayed here at the beginning and end of a 14-day group trip to Italy. Seriously,…read morewhat a dump (and run by thieves and liars, they stole my raincoat out of the closet).
Overall, it was not convenient for any kind of individual travel into any of the major sites of Rome. You need to walk 5 blocks to catch the bus to the metro station, then get on the Metro into Rome. A cab ride, if you can convince someone to drive you out this far will cost about 120 euro. Note: the hotel does not change money and there is no bank nearby that does (there is an ATM across the street, however).
We had breakfast and dinners included, which we ate at the hotel. Service is deplorable, waitstaff refused people entry to the dining room if they were not ready and yelled at people if you tried to take anything out with you. Food is bland and mediocre and sometimes arrived cold.
WiFi is available for a fee, 1 euro and hour or 5 euros for 24 hours per person per device. Be aware, this is consecutive timekeeping, once you sign on, you have an hour to use whether you were actually doing anything or not and the signal does not reach above the 1st floor, so you have to use it in the lobby or the mezzanine.
The surrounding area is very "local", homes, auto body shops, gas station, card store, really not appealing if you are a tourist. At some time after sunset, the neighborhood even feels a little shady. If you are a foreigner traveling on your own and hoping to see the main attractions in Rome, this is not a place I'd stay at.
