I am working in the area and ordered a Florentine pizza because it is Lent. Wow, it's great pizza. Everything about it perfect, crust, seasoning, toppings, all of it. It was easy to call and order ahead. The store is small and busy. The only thing that gave me pause was where to park to pick up. There's a lot of snow and lucky another person picking up pulled off the street and I followed their lead. Can't recommend this place more. read more

We spent the night in Amesbury Mass on our way to Maine. I always check Yelp when we travel to find a unique spot for dinner. Vito's reviews inspired us! We were not disappointed. We shared a large pizza and Caesar salad. Both were outstanding. The pizza crust and sauce were both spot on. The crust had a great mix to crispiness and chew and the sauce flavor was excellent with a slight sweetness. The bread that came with the salad was the crowning feature. It was a puffy flat bread with a chewiness. We loved our dinner! The girl at the check out was very friendly and welcoming. You cannot go wrong with this little place. It is mostly take-out but there are a few tables if you prefer to dine in. read more

Our family of four was on a long road trip from Indiana through the New England area and we stopped in the area between Boston and Portland for the night. We wanted a great local pizza place and decided on Vito's. So glad we did! The owners were incredibly nice and accommodating, answering all our questions and helping us with recommendations. We got a pizza and an Italian sub on their special homemade bread. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, and fast. The pizza crust was remarkably crisp on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside. The owner even sent us with a free pizza to go for our trip! My husband and I ordered a sausage, onion & pepper pizza and a buffalo finger salad last friday and it was delicious! The buffalo finger salad is always my go to! It is enough for two meals and the buffalo fingers are perfect because they are coated in buffalo bread crumbs vs tossed in buffalo sauce! My husband said the pizza was the best he has ever had, perfectly cooked, toppings were evently distributed and the crust had a perfect outer crunch, and soft fluffy inside. We got the house salad dressing on the side which is a delicious homemade creamy italian that compliments any salad perfectly, but also makes for a delicious dressing to dunk your crust in! Vitos is by far the best quality food around and we always look forward to our meals there! Bob has been in the pizza industry for decades and he and his wife Karen have perfected the art of pizza! It's been a week since getting pizza here and I'm still thinking about it! We got a bbq chicken pizza to go and it was ready quickly and was so good. We were on vacation in the area and this was a bit of a drive, but after talking to the person answering the phone we were convinced we had to get some pizza from Vito's. Not surprisingly it was an owner of the restaurant, clearly knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about...we even ate in the restaurant (not common when we eat pizza). Pizza was very traditional, thin crust in the middle, 'pizza bone' thick and doughy, tangy sauce - hmmm, wishing I was there now. This is a must try place. read more

Stopped in while in the area for business. Really glad I did! Excellent Italian style pizza, thin crust. They make their own dough and that shows in the end product. Also got a salad which was very good but special mention for the bread that came with it, home made! Had fun talking to the owners while waiting for the order. We recently moved to Amesbury Mass and were out walking late one afternoon and decided to check out Vito's and try the Pizza. I was quite surprised when our Pizza came hot out of the oven and placed on our table. My wife and I looked at the Pizza and each other and decided if it tasted as good as it looked this would become our go to place for Pizza. I am a minimalist when it comes to Pizza and prefer the taste of a good old Cheese pizza. The crust was very crisp and airy and the sauce is perfectly blended and sweet with just the right amount of cheese. That was our first time and since we have been back several times and also ordered delivery. Their sandwiches on there house baked wraps are the best in the area and the Calzones are delicious. Best take-out pizza in town in my opinion. Really great thick crust that is not too soft either. I had to try the basic pepperoni and their garlic herb white pizza with mushrooms - both were exceptional! We will absolutely be ordering from Vito's again! read more
