a half eaten sub
Jason Y.

You gotta love this place. It's an institution --- the interior feels like you walked into a sub shop from 1988, and I mean that in the best way. Ari, the man himself is ALWAYS in there himself captaining the ship, asking his customers how they're doin --- it's the best chicken parm sub in the area. Family run, ice cream and Italian ices for those hot summer nights. And they make and bottle their own sodas. The lemon lime in this picture knocks Sprite flat on its ass in one punch. And let Grant Hill know I said it!

Really great food especially the wraps since they use Syrian bread. Fair prices and nice service.

All three of us named those sprouts as one of our favorite fried sprouts dishes ever. The combination of sweet and savory flavors was the perfect combo and the sprouts crisped just right. The cornmeal waffle was both unique and delicious alone and when paired with the perfectly crispy chicken. If you like both waffles and cornbread you can't go wrong with this dish. The Biscuits Benny were tasty with nice crispy potatoes, but we felt the chorizo gravy was light on both the chorizo and flavor. We would definitely get both the sprouts and waffles again though next time. Our server was both friendly and knowledgable and accommodated a couple of special requests, which we really appreciated (like putting the chicken and waffles on separate plates). The space itself was very comfortable, with nice touches to divide the space up and fun decor. We noted there was a nice long table in the middle which would be great for group events. It was too hot to eat outside, but that would be a nice option on a cooler day.

We started out with wings that were good although slightly underseasoned. Their maple ranch dressing balanced the taste well. For my entree, I went with a new item on their menu- BBQ Benny. I asked for my BBQ bernaise sauce on the side. I was surprised to get 4 poached eggs so that was a bonus and they were perfectly cooked. Home fries were unevenly cooked probably because they were unevenly cut but the flavor was on point. Place is cheerfully decorated for the holidays. I am unsure of how it would be on a busy night/day as the place is not huge and tables are placed close together.

We have sat at the bar and the 2 bartenders are great. Very attentive and they make a good drink. Tonight we opted for a booth. Most if the patrons were at the bar. Ordered french onion soup, beef stout soup, pizza and Turkey sandwich. It took 35 minutes for the soup to come out and it was lukewarm warm. Beef soup he said had good flavor. Turkey sandwich was not what I expected and IMO not good. I only ate a few bites. Had to ask for the side of gravy. It clearly had been sitting there as it was congealed on top. Owner comped the pizza which was eaten ironically. It's very loud . Not a lot of ambiance. I will be surprised if they aren't just a bar in 2 years, as there are Better food options in town

Big Dawg's Eatery opened this week (1/12/2025) in Bradford, next door to McDonald's. This renovated…read morerestaurant & bar is located in the former Bradford Brew House (BBH)/Kelley's/Ronnie D's building. The full service bar has seating on each side, booth seating along the opposite wall and booths and tables in the back area. They have 6 large flatscreen TVs (3 on each side of the room) and 4 monitors for Keno & Powerball, digital jukebox, and framed logo posters of the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and Patriots under the TVs on both sides of the room. The food menu offers pub fare including appetizers, pasta dinners, salads, 14" pizzas, sandwiches/ burgers/subs/wraps with fries, soup, steaks, turkey, pork chops, seafood, and a kids menu. The prices are moderate. The bar offers bottle beers, seltzers, and wine. After hearing how busy this place has been this grand opening week, I stopped by for late evening eats. I got here around 8:52pm when it wasn't busy and took a seat up at the bar. The bartender gave me a food menu and informed me the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes. Since I already looked over the menu before heading over, I immediately ordered the Chicken Cacciatore with Spaghetti ($21 plus tax) and a Side Salad ($4 plus tax) with an ice water. The food came out together 10 minutes later. The portions of food were respectable. The side salad was pretty basic with iceberg lettuce, tomato slices, red onions, and a big side of dressing (I got chunky bleu cheese). The chicken cacciatore had a mix of tender pieces of boneless chicken, sauteed peppers & onions, tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, and al dente cooked spaghetti. I was also told that they ran out of garlic bread earlier after asking. Anyways, the chicken cacciatore dish was very good with zesty flavors and I finished the whole plate. The check was already printed out ahead of time, which was $26.75 (cash)/$27.82 (card) with tax and before tip. I finished my ice water, left cash with tip included and headed out. Overall, my food tasted pretty good and I would come back here for dinner to try the other things on the menu like the fish & chips, supreme pizza, and the hot subs with fries.

Came across a video of their chicken schwarma wrap and decided to gove it shot and i tell you $18 wrap had me fumming at myself but the wrap was amazing and size nice as well and not those tinny tiny ones. While waiting i asked if they kept falafels as was not on menu and he is like sure so i ordered some since my wife loves them. While waiting for falafels i was munching on the wrap and it was so good. Grilled with sauce and sesame seeds and all I took the falafels but they were so fresh and hot that i had to try them in the car and they were most unique tasting in good way and were really amazing. Overall made me a fan but hoping no price increases due to popularity otherwise at steep price as it is now it will be little out of affordable category

This is my husband's favorite handheld in the area. He doesn't like pickles but he likes it in the wrap! The service is very friendly, and they also sell some baklava. Mostly street parking (or as I said make-your-own street parking). For me personally the French fries make the wrap a little too heavy - don't get me wrong, it's still delicious but I might try getting a different wrap and asking for the habibi sauce on the outside to see if it's more balanced for me. The sleeper hit was the 1/2 chicken - completely butterflied and roasted in a crazy flavorful spice mix and served on top of French fries and pita with toum inside (plus a side of toum and habibi). It's like a deconstruction special wrap, but the chicken is insane and way better than the chunks. Highly recommend if you're looking for something different! There's only three seats inside so not great for dine-in, but when they said we were eating inside, they offered to cut our wrap in half and served it on two paper plates with napkins plus a little stick of gum for afterwards! I thought that was such a thoughtful touch!
