Since this was not my local store needed to drive 30 mins out of the way about 10 miles out and be late to a holiday party with friends. As the associate assured me they would be able to take my return I wanted to make good on their words and drive in. The associate I spoke with had left for the day and another associate processed the return some how, however it was less than what I paid for online, by more than 10%. They called the store owner who advised them of a way it sounded like to process the return, however in the end, the rep advised me they could not process the return now, even though he did it initially somehow. The associate then asked if I wanted to speak to the owner, so he called him from his personal phone. Spoke to the owner explained to him the situation and what I was "told" which prompted me to drive up there, and the owner's response was, I'm not responsible for what the associate said, and I repeated as the owner of this store, they report to you and work for you, it's not your responsibility correct? His response, I was not there so it's not my responsibility. BEWARE of this store and all the locations owned by this owner. If it is not from one of his store they will not help you. Also if an associate tells you something incorrect, IT'S NOT HIS RESPONSIBLITY either. For someone who owns a store YOU ARE responsible for all the people that work there. They REPORT TO YOU! She even wanted me to pull up the exact flavor of the product, put it in my cart and show me the final price with tax. I had to drive 20 minutes to the Glen Ellyn location then back to my gym which is by the Carol Stream location. My issue with this place comes from when I got home and took a look at the receipt. The price was correct and everything, but at the top of the receipt by Customer Name it said "Pen Dejo". If you know any Spanish slang, you know Pendejo means idiot or other derogatory names. As this was my first time, I didn't have an account registered, and I declined when the employee asked if I wanted to create an account, so the employee had to enter a name on the sale, and apparently they thought that would be a good idea. I'm a personal trainer that works five minutes from that location. People ask me on a daily basis where they should go for supplements. Let me start off with the sales associates. They don't shut up. Ever. If you don't know a thing about natural medicine, they'll definitely try and take advantage of you and attempt to make you buy something that has quite a bit of a mark up. I suggest GNC or Fruitful Yield (which is next to Kohls) for a better selection and less annoying sales associates. They have a pretty decent selection of products for such a small store, but the prices can be quite marked up. They're also quite deceptive about the prices. They have the "Members' Price" in very big font, while the "Normal Price" is very small and not legible to anyone with difficulties reading small print. If you're stuck at the mall and GNC either doesn't have something or you don't want to go to Fruitful Yield instead, I guess this place would substitute the two, but you will be spending a good 20 minutes listening to some guy perform his sales routine.
