I was thrilled to check out Vital Qi's space. They've been open since March 2024. I used to go to their community acupuncture at TAOU on Fridays. They now have their own space for community acupuncture and it's gorgeous. The decor and design make me feel right at home. They have these incredibly comfortable lounge chairs that you rest on during your session.
I was seated at the front acupuncture seat. It's by a window and feels like a more private room. There is another room with three chairs and cloth dividers that is still comfortable. Elizabeth is my acupuncturist and I highly recommend her. I came in after an intense anxiety episode. I told her everything I was feeling and she checked my tongue (for first timers this is normal, it tells your acupuncturist what's going on in your body). She offered me heated blankets, pillows, and weighted eye masks. After she placed all the needles I was left to meditate.
It was raining when I went. My private corner was by a window and I enjoyed hearing the rain outside. This was so good for my mental health. It was an amazing way to unwind and give myself some self-love/self-care. Vital Qi offers some of the most affordable acupuncture you can find in Richmond. They have amazing specialists and great amenities. I got a delicious orange chamomile tea after my session. I felt calm and relaxed too. I highly recommend visiting. read more
