For job-related reasons, I moved to Richmond seven years later, with also seven years of moderate to severe chronic back pain. This pain was associated with frequent headaches, shoulder pain, and a lot of terrible sleeping time. My wife recommended me to go to Dr. Mulvaney after she received a complimentary massage in her workplace because she thought that I was going to benefit from it. Could you imagine that after visiting orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, neurologist, physical therapist, countless imaging studies including MRI, that I could benefit from it? I wasn't sure about it, but I decided to give it a shot because after all, I had so much to win. Trust me when I say this, I don't wish for anyone to experience this kind of pain, but if you have, I definitely recommend this center. When I got there, everyone was so Profesional, asking questions that no one ever asked me before leading to a feeling that these people actually care about my well being. Then, after two weeks of therapy, my headaches diminished not only in frequency but also in intensity, and I started to get better rest during my sleep time, which by the way improved my mood significantly. I have to say that I never thought that my back would get better, but after just two months of therapy, I was a different person, with more energy. Last but not least, all the personnel in the Spinal Correction Center, were so lovely, that I wanted to go back because not only I was getting better, but the peace that I felt there was very comforting. I was prescribed steroids by both practitioners. once steroid course was over all symptoms returned with worst symptom being upper arm pain. I went to see Dr Lassiter after 15 days of pain. I'd never heard of Graston technique, for example, and that was one of the treatments I got, which wasn't exactly pleasant, but I do believe it helped. While I wasn't healed in my 3-4 visits, the treatment when I was getting it did alleviate my symptoms. Dr. Lassiter is super cool, as is his assistant. I'd recommend they close the up the ceilings of the rooms, though so that the doctor-patient discussions remain private. It's a small office and you can hear everything going on.

Dr. Rulli does a great job and doesn't have you continue methods that don't work well; I'm going for headaches, and after doing both adjustments and acupuncture (Which costs more), Dr. Rulli quickly told me that he didn't feel the acupuncture helped nearly as much as my spinal adjustments, and encouraged me to stick with just the adjustments. Given I was game to be a pin cushion--that's how bad the headaches are--I was surprised. As for the headaches, the adjustments are a BIG help! They aren't a cure, of course, but they provide relief without medication. Until the underlying cause is uncovered, I'm in the dark, but thanks to Dr. Rulli, I'm able to get relief.

It seems so obvious now that it would be part of the plan of care yet, I've never had it done. Also during my appointment, I received electrotherapy and had a mild adjustment and then laid on a rolling table! Much more than I thought I was going to get at a consultation appointment. I have my follow up appointment tomorrow to discuss the findings of the x-ray and determine the treatment plan. This is never been the case at any other chiropractor I've been to.
