Upon arrival, I was shown into a room to do a hearing test. The woman doing the test was very kind, patient with me and thorough. I then saw Dr. Lowrey. It didn't take her very long to figure out what my problem was, she listened very carefully to the symptoms I described and checked me thoroughly. She was a great listener. She was patient with me expressing my feelings (and fears) and diagnosed me, giving me the specific directions of what I could do to "fix" my problem. I was very satisfied with the entire office, their staff and my experience.

The PA may ultimately be correct that this is eustachian tube dysfunction and fluid that will take time to resolve, but I did not feel heard during the visit. When I asked about additional options, including imaging, tubes, or other interventions given my ongoing symptoms and upcoming travel, the discussion felt dismissive and at times patronizing rather than collaborative. The visit itself consisted primarily of earwax removal and a prescription, which left me feeling like I had not received the level of specialist consultation I expected from an ENT practice. I've since scheduled follow-up with one of the physicians and am hopeful for a more thorough discussion of both short-term management and longer-term prevention strategies.

Ethical concerns with billing errors and zero-notification fees…read more I am highly frustrated by the billing practices and lack of communication at Mindful Therapy Group. First, I was explicitly quoted a $0 co-pay. Based on that information, I attended weekly appointments for nearly two months. Suddenly, co-pays started being deducted from my account on file. When I called to investigate, I was told there was a co-pay after all, and I was being back-billed for multiple past appointments. While I understand that the co-pay amount itself may be determined by insurance, there is a serious ethical issue with charging and back-charging a client's card without any prior notification or statement. Because I was quoted zero, I had no reason to go looking for hidden statements in an online portal. Second, while I was away on vacation, I was scheduled for a time that I was not used to and unfortunately forgot the appointment. I received absolutely no notification, phone call, text, or email reminder on the day of the session. Despite the total lack of communication, they promptly charged my card a $180 no-show fee. The lack of transparency, hidden charges, and failure to send simple appointment reminders make this a highly stressful administrative experience. Therapist was fine

She made me feel unheard, she would ask the same question over and over and over instead of just reading the file that is "mandatory to fill out before a consultation." She was cold, judgemental, unhelpful, rude, and made me feel less than the entire consultation. You would think they would hire people who are at least somewhat suited for the healthcare role especially when dealing with vulnerable patients who suffer from depression. My other issue is with Shauna, their patient coordinator. Shauna was very kind when I was handing over insurance information, credit card information, and social security information but as soon as I had my consultation. CRICKETS. No communication about how to get the treatment. I left emails and messages trying to reach someone that could potentially help me get scheduled but they all redirected me back to Shauna who was avoiding my calls for whatever reason. I finally managed to get through to her once from my boyfriends phone and she was audibly very upset that it was me. She gave me a non answer as to why she was avoiding me and hung up. Again crickets. Jessica Jajesnica should absolutely be doing a different line of work and TMS Bellevue should hire someone who can coordinate patients if their time is Patient coordinator.

I would go in for my yearly "Wellness Check" at my previous physician's office and basically fill out a questionnaire about how I was feeling. The doctor did very little after reviewing my questionnaire other than ordering a basic blood test. I'm 68 years old and when I started going to Trivas, Courtney proceeded to perform tests appropriate to my age. Courtney decided that I should have the PSA level in my blood tested because of my age and gender. My PSA was high which showed the possibility of Prostrate Cancer. She tested my PSA again and the result was the same. Long story short is that I was then diagnosed with an advanced stage of prostate cancer and went in for surgery shortly after. I believe that without Courtney's knowledge and diagnosis my lifespan would be dramatically shortened. Courtney went the extra mile that my last doctor did not put the effort in to, I'm now cancer free and looking forward to being around for a lot longer than I would have if I had not switched to Trivas Family medicine. She has been so supportive with helping me to improve basic but important things like diet and exercise, or more specific issues like supplements to address anemia and related fatigue, mental health challenges, etc. I am relatively young and healthy, so I wasn't sure if trying to find good primary care was actually that important but after this past year of really stellar care, I can say without a doubt that a quality PCP is life changing! Dr. Johnson is always incredibly responsive via the message portal and gets back really quickly with responses and lab results. Speaking of labs, she is happy to bill your insurance for those out-of-clinic items like a pap smear or blood test; that's been super easy and 100% covered. One of the most impressive things (besides her geniune care for her patients!), might be that I have never had to wait more than a day or two for an in-person appointment. Called the office and the front desk guy lacked compassion and tells me I have to reschedule because Brett refuses to wait an extra ten minutes when we have an hour long appointment. Very disappointed and upset considering their practice is intended to help people and waiting another 2 weeks isn't something I feel safe doing. when someone fills out forms and it's clear they need help, why be selfish and turn them away over 10 minutes?

That is unfortunately common. At least that's how I read it. I, myself, have been highly impressed with the compassion, understanding, expertise and approach of Dr Wadsworth. Im 53 and have been on a lifelong quest to find a solution to my chronic anxiety. Since my early 20s I've been aware that my anxiety was active whether or not there was really anything to be anxious about. I described it as "ambient." I'm in the generation right before they started recognizing and diagnosing ADHD in kids - and even then it was the typical symptoms of little hyperactive / disruptive boys that were the trigger to evaluate them for ADHD. It presents so differently in girls. And later, if it's not treated, it presents even more differently in adult women who have adapted through the decades to use coping mechanisms to manage their symptoms without understanding why they were happening. I am fortunate to have recently witnessed the diagnosis and successful treatment outcome of a young woman in my family! Without being part of that process I don't think I would have EVER recognized the suspected symptoms in myself. And it wasn't actually me who started the real inquiry - it was the loving people who know me well who pointed out behaviors, tendencies and habits that all pointed to underlying ADHD. Contrary to my understanding, ADHD doesn't mean you can't pay attention. It often means the opposite - you pay too much attention to too many things at once! And the hyperactive component doesn't always manifest in stereotypical behaviors on the outside. I am a woman who can focus like a laser beam and aside from bouncing my knee when I have to sit still, not much about me screams 'hyperactive.' BUT inside my mind, my laser beam focus is like Swiss cheese - bombarded by distractions which exhaust me to manage. I learned that it was the inability to turn my laser beam off - or to allow it to focus on just one thing at a time - that was the problem. My chronic list making and future tripping belied my constant overwhelm because all of my thoughts hit me at once. Important, unimportant, happy, worried, hopeful, future, past, to-dos, relationships, house, yard, pets, work, play... all in one big jumble! I had managed to develop a system to prioritize and tackle things in some logical order. And I would engage one of the common superpowers of ADHD (hyper-focus) to address each task or project, but it was always an exhausting process because I was fending off overwhelm and burning so much energy in an effort to keep intrusive thoughts at bay. I can only see this now because I've been on Adderall, prescribed by Dr Wadsworth after a thorough and careful evaluation, for about a week. Now I know how my mind CAN work and now i realize I should have been on this med since I was a child. I still am aware of my large to do list and overall areas of concern and responsibility in my life, but it's no longer overwhelming because my thoughts (and the feelings that go with them) proceed in a fairly logical and moderately paced order. My anxiety is down about 80-90% compared to just a couple of weeks ago. I never dreamed that would be possible. Another benefit is that all my decades of practice developing coping skills are finally paying off! Now if I do "The Work" or apply mindfulness techniques to a disturbance, it actually makes a difference! It used to be that the anxious pit in my stomach barely reduced even when I could unequivocally see that there was nothing real to be anxious about. I hope others in my situation find their way to Dr W so they can be properly evaluated, too. I appreciate that he treats me like a grownup regarding adjusting my dose according to my own pace, and discussing options without dismiss my input. I also struggle with sleep and he's been very open to helping me explore med combos that will work. Overall I've been very grateful to have found him and I would not hesitate to recommend him for care. In fact I've already shared his info with a couple of people in my life who are my age and whom I suspect may have also slipped through the diagnosis cracks when they were kids. I hope all of us can finally circle back to receive the diagnosis and treatment we always needed and deserved. Thank you for reading this, and please pass these thoughts on to someone you know who may be suffering needlessly - without all the puzzle pieces they need to solve it! I wouldn't have found this life-changing solution if people who loved me hadn't gently nudged me to explore.
