Vita was our first meal in Spain, and it was a good one! We arrived at 8pm, but of course because of Spain's late dining hours, they didn't start serving food until 8:30. So we ordered a pitcher of sangria (which was delicious) and sat back and relaxed while we waited for the kitchen to open. We were given a small plate of olives, which unfortunately tasted like they had been soaking in oil for too long - an odd, mealy texture we didn't care for.
Fortunately, that was not indicative of the rest of the meal. When the kitchen opened, we ordered lots of great tapas to share. Patatas bravas, pan con tomate, ensalada vita, and the mini pizza (served in a tiny little to-go box!) to name just a few. Everything was scrumptious. We had so much fun tasting everything, and the service was prompt and helpful.
For dessert, we shared the Chocolate Coulant cake, which is like a molten lava chocolate cake, only not served warm. We greatly enjoyed it. It's in a great neighborhood (Gracia!) and it holds a spot in my heart for being the first restaurant in Barcelona we tried. I'd certainly go back. read more
